Zoe rushed to Barton's side before he could finish with his rant. She flashed her phone and handed it to her boss. "Mr. Xiao, I'm sorry for barging in the middle of your meeting, but you have to see this first."

Zoe came across the evening news which featured Jean, so she had to report to him immediately.

Barton and Zoe were absent in H City for a very long time, so they were mostly unaware of previous events and gossips. Moreover, they didn't have enough time to conduct a thorough investigation on the local happenings.
