633 The Baby Looked Just Like You

Not too long ago, Zhang Li Xue was still in the mood to joke around with the others.

But now that she was wheeled into the delivery room and the contraction has became frequent, Zhang Li Xue’s face began to turn a little pale.

She looked around the room and started to panic when she could not see Bai Qi around.

It was the nurse who had to help her to calm down and practice her breathing.

After a while, Bai Qi finally appeared dressed in blue from head to toe. He rushed over to her side and held her hand. “Sorry. I have to change my clothes before coming over.”

The hospital usually did not allow to have the father to accompany the mother in the delivery room. However, Bai Qi was a special case. Since he was one of the doctors in the hospital, naturally, he was allowed to accompany his wife.

Doctor Lin stayed at the side to monitor Zhang Li Xue’s condition. A faint smile curled on her face as she watched the couple’s interaction. Doctor Bai was always calm when he faced any surgery. However, when he was in the delivery room to accompany his wife, he was all the same as other expecting fathers.

Other than giving his moral support, there was nothing much that he could do to help.

Zhang Li Xue turned to Bai Qi again and whimpered. “Hubby, it hurts.” The pain comes and goes. It made her feel very tired.

Bai Qi shifted his gaze to his wife’s bulging tummy and whispered, “Baby, don’t make trouble for your mother, alright? Just come out soon.”

“It’s going to be alright.” Doctor Lin assured. “The baby should come out very soon.” She looked at Zhang Li Xue and spoke, “Mommy, you have to reserve your energy. Just push when I tell you to push later. You still remember the breathing technique you learned?”

Zhang Li Xue nodded.

“Then, you should try the breathing technique now.”


Fortunately, the baby did not make a lot of trouble for Zhang Li Xue.

After an hour of pushing the baby, the room was filled with the baby’s loud crying voice.

Doctor Lin lifted the baby carefully and smiled, “Congratulations. It’s a boy.”

“Li Xue, thank you,” Bai Qi whispered. “You have done a very good job. You are the most amazing person who had appeared in my life, did you know that?”

Her heart warmed. Hearing his words made all her tiredness seem to fade away. “Hubby, have you looked at our son?”

Bai Qi nodded. “I looked at him.” Glancing should also be considered looking, right?

“Is he handsome?”

Fortunately, the nurse carried the baby over to let Zhang Li Xue look at him.
