Love The Psycho

Chapter 276: Playing truth or dare

By the time Collins and Chloe arrived, everyone was already inside and were introducing each other and they entered.

''Chloe is here'' Kristine said and everyone turned to look at them. The ladies had questionable looks in their eyes.

''Collins, did you two meet outside?'' Robyn asked.

''Actually, we know each other. She is my college mate'' Collins explained and Robyn nodded and smiled knowingly. Turns out she was that so called college mate that his cousin always talked about. It seemed that the world was small and their circle was much closer than he thought.

''He is…'' Brenda looked at Chloe.

''He is my college senior. Kristine, you remember Collins, right?''

''He is that college guy?'' Kristine smiled and stretched forth her hand towards Collins, ''hi Collins, we meet again after a long time''

''Hi, Kristine. Nice to see you again'' Collins shook her head and turned to Jenny and Brenda, ''you must be Brenda and Jenny. Chloe told me about you two''

''Oh, hi I am Jenny''

''Hi, I'm Brenda''

''So, turns out everyone knows somebody here?'' Ronald gave Collins a bro hug before turning to Kody, 'Kody, this is our friend. He is also the cousin of Robyn here''

''Hi, Collins, I am Kody''

''Hi, Kody''

''Everyone sit anywhere you like. I will bring the food out. Brenda, help me'' Robyn said and pulled Brenda away before she disagreed. The ladies looked at each other and smiled.

''Why did you ask me to help you out? This is your house'' Brenda asked him as she took the beer bottles he was removing from the fridge.

''Everyone is sitting in pairs, you don't expect me to drag another man's woman over to my side when you are there, right?''

''You…''

''It's alright. let's just get along this once. I'm really trying my best here''

''But, this feels weird. Our circle is so small indeed. Everyone knows somebody'' Brenda said as she looked at the lovely scene before her. everyone in the hall were getting along so well as if they had known each other for long.

''I know, right? It was Ronald and Kristine who brought us together, then, Jenny brought Kody. I've seen his works before. He is a good photographer''

''Yes, he is indeed. But, we knew each other before Kris and Ronald brought us together''

''This could be counted as fate. Our meeting is a fated one. Don't you agree?'' Robyn asked her and she looked up to meet his gaze.

Something stirred inside her and she blushed and turned away immediately saying, ''let's go''

They went back to the hall and placed the beer down and sat on the floor with everyone else. Robyn saw Brenda trying to sit between Chloe and Kristine and he pulled her to his side. That way, they looked like a pair of three couples out on a date.

''When is the pizza coming?'' Kristine looked at Ronald. He was the one who ordered for the pizza.

''It won't take long. Are you hungry?'' he asked her and she shook her head and smiled. They were so comfortable with each other that they felt they were the two people in the hall.

''Ronny, if you and Kris continue to act so lovey dovey in front of us, we the single dogs will die of anger'' Robyn said.

''I see the relationship between you two is so strong. Kris, I am happy for you'' Kody said and casually placed his arm around Jenny's should. Jenny looked at him and noticed he wasn't even looking at her; he was just acting all touchy with her as if it was a normal thing but she was beginning to feel uncomfortable with it. He was making her feel things she couldn't understand.

''It is my luck to have met a woman like Kris in this world'' Ronald said and held Kris' hand.

''Wow, this is so cheesy'' Brenda said and they laughed.

The doorbell rang and Ronald stood up, ''that must be the pizza boy'' he said and went to get the pizza.

''This scene is giving me so many nostalgic feelings. I am happy to meet all of you. because I am always traveling for work, I never got around to make a lot of friends, but I know I've finally met the right people. most of all, I am happy to be reunited with my childhood best friend, Jenny'' Kody looked at Jenny and smiled.

''Pizza is here'' Ronald brought the pizza and set it down in the middle.

''Let's play a game'' Robyn announced and Brenda shook her head. it was like she saw this coming.

''I'm out'' she said.

''No, I think it will be fun to do'' Chloe supported the idea.

''Yes, Brenda'' Jenny added. She felt she needed the distraction to stop herself from thinking about how her body was reacting to Kody's touch. She knew he didn't mean anything. Perhaps, because he had worked with women for so long, he didn't see anything wrong with the way he was acting so intimate with her but she couldn't ignore it. She always thought that the man she would develop feelings for would be someone who would sweep her off her feet, but since Kody came back, which wasn't so long ago, she felt that she had a particular yearning to be with him all the time. She needed to get back to herself again. She was older than him and he was definitely not her prince charming. They knew each other too well for her to be having such thoughts about him.

''How many people are in support of the idea?'' Robyn asked and everyone except Brenda rose their hands.

''This is so childish'' she muttered.

''This game might sound childish but it was recently found to be the most socially friendly game that helped people to bond. Studies also shows that people who engage in childish games have a healthy mental health'' Ronald explained.

''Wow, our doctor says it all''

''Let's play then'' Brenda agreed.

''Then, here are the rules. If the bottle points at your direction, then you answer a question posed by anyone and the answer must be sincere or your drink a glass full of beer'' Robyn announced the rules and everyone agreed to it.

''Who swings first?'' Kody asked excitedly. It had been long since he played such a game before.

''The one who suggested always starts the game'' Brenda said and looked at Robyn.

''Alright, I will start first'' Robyn took the bottle and swung it. The bottle rolled for a while before it settled in front of Collins.

''Why am I the first person to answer a question?'' Collins asked and they laughed.

''Are you ready for your question?'' Robyn asked.

''Yes, ask right away''

''What was the most recent thing to happen to you that you felt happy about?'' Robyn asked knowingly as he stared between Collins and Chloe.

''When I unknowingly bumped into Chloe today and also found out that she knew my cousin, Robyn'' Collins said without faltering. His voice was clear and his eyes lingered on Chloe for a while after saying that.

''That is such an honest answer'' Ronald said and they laughed.

Chloe looked at Collins and smiled when she saw him looking at her.

''It's my turn, right?'' Collins looked away and picked the bottle. He did same and it pointed at Brenda. She looked at the bottle a little flustered and chuckled.

''What is this?'' she asked and everyone laughed at her.

''I'm curious about the question you are going to ask Brenda'' Chloe said to Collins.

''Do you have any suggestions? Today is my first time of meeting her, I don't know what to ask'' Collins asked Chloe.

''No, this is cheating. You can't ask Chloe for suggestions. She has about a million questions to ask me'' Brenda retorted and everyone laughed.

''I'm glad you know that'' Chloe replied and leaned closer to Collins ear. Everyone waited patiently for them to finish. Chloe smirked and looked at Brenda and the latter cussed.

''So, Brenda. What is your opinion about Robyn? I am asking for your honest opinion and not one based on a biased perspective''

Brenda threw glare at Chloe who smirked at her.

''My opinion on Robyn, are you asking me my opinion as his colleague at work or as someone whom I have the same circle of friends with?'' Brenda asked Collins.

''Both, if you don't mind'' Collins replied. Robyn looked at Brenda seriously as she spoke.

''He is a serious person at work and is quite good at what he does. He is narcissistic but not to the extent of been unlikable. I admit, his views on work related issues are remarkable but, I hate the fact that he thinks he is the only one who is always right. He tends to downplay the efforts of others and wants to be obeyed at all cost. When it comes to work, his professionalism is remarkable. As for been his friend, I don't know much about how is he when he isn't at work but he seems to be someone who values friendship a lot and I think he and I share that quality together. We both cherish our friends a lot''
