Love The Psycho

Chapter 44: How dare you set your eyes on what's mine?2

Soon Mandy Myers and Rowena Myers arrived at the company with their bodyguards guiding. The moment they walked in, the staff recognised Rowena and screamed her name.

'Oh, is Rowena Myers'

'Is really her'.

'I heard she and our CEO were related, I guess is really true'.

Rowena smiled as she held hands with her grandma with their four bodyguards protecting them from the people.

MEETING ROOM.

When Liyah and the rest entered they saw five of the shareholders already seated in the room. Liyah bowed and greeted them 'good morning, shareholders'.

'Look at the time you're coming as the company's CEO?' One of the shareholders said heftily. He looked at Liyah condescendingly raising a sudden riot in the room.

This shareholder was bribed by Mandy Myers. He has been promised a position in the company if he stood up against Liyah and caused the other shareholders to misunderstand and hate Liyah. So, his main job was to incite the shareholders against Liyah.

The other shareholders started murmuring and hence looked down on Liyah. Leo Martins watched the all scene with a sly smile. Things were going to be much interesting than he thought. Off course, he lived for excitement. He really couldn't wait to wipe the smug look from these old geezers' faces.

Maijune stepped in front to say something and Liyah held her back and shook her head. Maijune stepped back and glared at the shareholders.

Off course, this simple interaction didn't escape Leo Martins as he watched the ladies fascinatingly.

Liyah stepped in front and apologised 'I am sorry for coming late. I was caught up in traffic. I'm sure you all know how bad traffic can be in D-City'.

Liyah turned to pointed at the seats and spoke to Leo Martins 'you must be new? You can seat anywhere you find comfortable'.

'Where do you suggest?' Leo Martins asked with a smile.

'Huh? Sorry, you can sit anywhere you like'. Liyah said and blushed.

'Let me be specific. I want a place where I will be able to see the interesting things that will unfold here today. Where do you suggest?' Leo Martins winked at Liyah.

Maijune chuckled clearly having seen through Leo Martins actions and murmured 'he is clearly flirting with you, dummy'.

Liyah heard Maijune and flushed. She pointed at a seat closer to her and spoke.

'You can sit there'. Liyah pointed casually to a chair near them.

'Thanks, beautiful'. Leo Martins ignored the eyes of the shareholders as he casually lifted Liyah's hand and kissed her hand before sitting.

Maijune frowned at the cheesiness and pinched Liyah who was in a daze and whispered. 'Stop drooling and show me where to sit, I have shares too, you know?'

Liyah smiled and pointed at a seat next to her saying 'you can sit next to me Miss shareholder'.

Maijune smiled and was about to sit when the door was pushed opened and a bodyguard walked in followed by Mandy Myers and Rowena Myers.

The five shareholders immediately stood up and greeted Mandy Myers with respect and their tone changed unlike before when they were berating Liyah for arriving late.

'Chairwoman, you're here'

'Chairwoman, how is your health?'

'Chairwoman, is good to see you back in D-City after so many years'

'Chairwoman, you look so beautiful'

'Chairwoman, isn't this the popular actress Rowena Myers?'

'Now that you mentioned it, I too found the name familiar. Who would have thought that the chairwoman had such a capable granddaughter?'

Liyah wasn't the least surprised by their 180 change but she couldn't help but trifled a smile as she looked at the scorned faces of Maijune and the new man whom she didn't know yet.

Maijune thought she really underestimated the bootlicking abilities of the shareholders. Indeed, in this world, people could do anything to curry favour with another person.

Maijune couldn't hold back any longer the more she looked at them. Maijune looked at the two people that just came in.

It was obvious, that they were enjoying all the attention they were getting. The old lady wasn't Maijune's cup of coffee but the young lady beside her definitely was as she was the one who had investigated her and tried to steal Aaron Saint from her.

To Maijune, anyone trying to steal the attention of Aaron Saint was committing the ultimate sin in her book.

'Is that her?' Maijune whispered to Liyah 'the one trying to steal my man right under my nose?' Liyah nodded with a smile and stood up to greet the old lady.

'Liyah, haven't you seen us? Why aren't you saying hi to grandma? What would people say about your attitude right now? Do you want people to say grandma didn't raise you well?

'Whoa!!' Leo Martins muttered under his breathe.

Leo Martins looked at Rowena from head to toe and could instantly tell the kind of person she was. Acting like an innocent and obedient granddaughter who genuinely cares about her cousin.

Her speech right now could be seen as a simple reminder to Liyah to act filial but when one thought deeper one would know that she was indirectly telling the shareholders of how Liyah didn't regard the old lady their grandma.

The shareholders turned and looked at Liyah with a frown. Liyah smiled and stepped closer and said 'grandma was busy chatting with the shareholders so I didn't want to interrupt her. I'm sorry. Grandma, you're welcome. Let me led you to a seat'.

'Forget it, I will find my seat myself. Don't act as if you're good to me'. The old lady's one sentence completely made things awkward.

Liyah stood there stupefied not knowing what to do.

'Grandma, you should sit on the chairman's seat'.

Rowena pushed Liyah aside and Liyah almost lost her footing and Maijune caught her in time and turned to Rowena angrily and said 'what a slimy bitch'

Rowena heard her and turned. She sized Maijune up and immediately recognised her as the girl with Aaron but there was something different about her. Rowena looked at her smugly and asked.

'What did you just say?' The shareholders and grandma equally heard Maijune because Maijune didn't exactly say it gently nor quietly. Her voice was clear.

'Who are you, young lady? This isn't the place for playing?' The old lady asked.

Maijune looked at her straight in the eyes saying 'I am not a kid and I am not here to play. I am a shareholder'.

Maijune finished and held Liyah to her seat and helped her to sit. Rowena quickly turned and said pointing at Liyah's seat.

'Isn't that seat for grandma? Even if you don't have any regard for people, shouldn't you at least be respectful? Grandma is here and you still have the cheek to sit on the chairwoman's seat?'

'Isn't Miss Liyah Myers the current chairwoman of Fashion Lyah?' Leo Martins question gained attention as they all turned to look at him.

Leo Martins now removed his shades revealing his brown eyes and Rowena gasped.

All of her life, she had only seen and known only one handsome and beautiful man, that is Aaron Saint, but now this man was now her number two as he was looking so beautiful and handsome now that he took off his shades.

She had noticed him when she entered but because she wanted to mess with Liyah, she completely forgot of him.

Leo Martins looked at the shareholders and pointed at Liyah Myers saying 'from what I gathered, this lady is the current chairwoman. Isn't it?'

'She is but it won't be for long anyway'. Rowena said looking at Liyah sternly.
