Chapter 179 - Enough Of Regrets

CHAPTER 179

"I see that your mouth still runs. Perhaps I need to upgrade your torture. Do not worry, I have all it takes, your friend here can testify. Bring out the electric chair, let us treat her like the heiress she really is."

"Stop, please!" By now Asia was already in tears as to what Jade was suffering and Arctic who was watching on the ground was feeling so bad and bitter. He had caused all of this. She was suffering because of him.

"Zale stop this madness. Have me for all I care but let them go. They would promise never to attack you and live their lives like that."

"Shut up. You two just wait your turn and not be too eager. Sigh, like father like daughter."

He was honestly tired with their self-righteous behavior. If they wanted torture so badly then they should have it big time.

As they waited for more of the torture to be carried out the men holding Jade down left her to fall on the ground.

Arctic quickly crawled to where she was and used his head to touch hers. "Jade, I am so sorry. Please forgive me," he said in a whisper.

"I know. I am not angry at you. If it was for Asia I would gladly do it again and again."

He could not hold it in and allow his tear to flow down his cheek as he watched the girl he had come to take as his daughter be in this situation because f him.

"I am so sorry dear. I never meant for such to happen. I had planned that once Asia is set free, our men would attack and we can then set you free. There was no other way to ensure that we were where she was and we could save her. I just never imagined Zale would go back on his word."

"You should know better, Arctic. You of all people should know better. You let emotions cloud your judgment as I did I. I should have known when I was waiting for you that something was wrong with the environment but I just ignored it and got busy with my thoughts inside. We weren't on high alert and you got your judgment be clouded but no one would blame you. My father would do that if they are in your shoes."

"I am  sorry. It is not justifiable to risk someone else's life for your child, because they also have loved ones. I was selfish, especially after what you went through."

"No you weren't selfish. You were too concerned about her and what suffering she must have gone through that you thought this was the best idea. I only wish you had told me then we would have prepared well."

"I wanted to but I did not know what you would have thought about it and I needed to be sure that all reactions would be real. So I thought…"

"You were just too scared that I wouldn't be ready to risk my life for Asia and you made a mistake thinking that. We are like sisters. We virtually grew up together."

"I am so sorry. I admit it, I was selfish. I was too selfish. It was the first reason why we bodyguards and killers are prevented from having family ties to keep our focus true and strong."

"Enough of regrets. I love Asia as my own flesh and blood and I am not angry. If we escape alive, which I am sure we three would find a way out for here. I won't let that scoundrel take any more lives from those I love again. So if we do, I want us to start afresh and take back our revenge big time, okay?"

"Hey, enough talk you two," Zale yelled from where he stood. "What is taking the preparation of the electric chair so long? Get it working let me see if she can still talk when I am done with her." Zale announced in a roar.

"You are truly despicable," Asia retorted. She made no hiding of her disgust. The mere thought of him was already enough for her to puke. She did not understand how a human being could be so wicked.

"Now I am actually tempted to put you first in that electric chair. I think you have forgotten just how it was. Maybe a slight reminder would be good to trigger your memory."

"Stop it, Zale. You want me, I would be the one sitting there and no one else."

"Let's see if you can talk big when I am done with you."

"Boss, it is ready," one of his men announced.

"Good, Lucas, bring her here and tie her to the chair."

In good faith, Jade accepted the punishment and allowed them to drag her there since both of her hands and feet were tied.

By the time everything was set, she closed her eyes in anticipation as she wished or silently prayed that her boyfriend would find her soon.

Right now he was a hope she was looking forward to but even if that was not possible she would still figure out a way out of here, even if it meant her using Zale as bait she was going to do that.

All that clouded her mind was the handsome face of her beloved. He was the only one that mattered to her now. If things did not go well and she was to die here, then she wished she could see his face one more time.

As that thought of death crossed her mind, Jade shook her head.

'There is no dying. No matter what I would survive and dish it out a million fold to this monster.'

At that moment she recalled something. Whenever she thought deep, Xander always had a way of knowing. If that was the case, perhaps he would be able to sense her thought she figured and decided to try it.

'I am somewhere in a warehouse, honey. please hear my thoughts and come.'
