Loving You: A Blessing or a Curse?

Waking up the next morning, Su Lian is extremely tense. Today, she has a meeting with Han Yuan, the leader of Han Group and the son of the C.E.O.

She feels nervous because the potential progress of Infinity Corp China is riding on the success of this cooperation. It didn't help that the man who is making the final decision has the same name as her ex-boyfriend.

Zipping up the skirt on her navy blue suit, Su Lian walks to the mirror and does a twirl.

"Mommy looks beautiful."

Su Yichen is sitting on her bed fully dressed in his school uniform. He compliments her from the side with a big smile on his face.

She walks over to him and scoops him up into her embrace.

"Baby, wish me luck."

"Good luck."

She covers him in kisses before they drive off to his school together.

On her way to work, Su Lian tries to motivate herself. It was just a meeting and she wasn't going in alone. She will have Ryan and two senior staff members at her side. Their presence will reduce the pressure and make her feel less like an ant, faced with such a giant Corporation.

"You look pale." At the door of her office, she is stopped by Ryan who hands her a file and a bottle of water.

"Thank you." Sitting down, she opens the file and reads it. It is all some basic information on the Han Group and Han Yuan more specifically.

"I know most of this so I should be ready. Is this everything?"

Ryan dodges her gaze and stares at the floor with a slightly guilty look on his face.

"You're hiding something, aren't you?"

"No, I'm just nervous too."

"Just that?" She doesn't ask him anymore because as far as she knows, Ryan has never lied to her.

"Get the other two, we leave in fifteen minutes."

The Han Group

The largest Corporation in Asia. They dominate every industry.

Staring at the building of the Head Quarters, Su Lian knows that this is not a lie.

It is extremely large and made entirely out of glass. If she isn't mistaken, it should have at least sixty floors.

Arriving at the lobby, the group of four are welcomed by a young man and woman who lead them up to the conference room where the meeting will be held.

"Have the both of you read the briefs for the meeting?"

Su Lian turns around to address the two senior staff members she barely knows. Although she no information about their habits and individual personalities, she chose them because they knew more about this company branch than she did. They were also both loyal and trustworthy. From what she heard, they had played a major role in exposing Jim Silva's corruption scandal.

"Ms. Su, we're well prepared, you don't need to worry."

The two old men nod their heads and smile.

Feeling much more confident, Su Lian breathes a sigh of relief and the group moves on towards their destination.

While everyone tries to get in a much better mood, Ryan stares at Su Lian's back with a complicated look. He seems to be struggling with something. His thoughts are swirling about. Finally, he shakes his head and puts on a poker face.

'I shouldn't tell her, besides it's just a guess.'

The young man and woman lead them to a double-doored room with the words "Conference Room" engraved on it.

The group of four slightly adjust themselves before heading in.
