The Mage servants around didn't dare intervene. They are not blood related to the Crane Clan and won't sacrifice their life for them. The City Lord himself planned to destroy the Clan, how can a small and weak Crane Clan survive this?

Only those who are truly loyal to the Clan will die for it. Unfortunately, maybe they are really to unbridled on their ways and there weren't that many who has absolute loyalty to them

"[Ice Magic: Ice Lance!]"

"[Ice Magic: Ice Rain!]"

The City Lord used two spells at a time. The Lance flew to one of the Magic Warriors while tens of small pieces of ice rained from the sky and attacked the younger generations of Crane Clan

Otto's spell killed all of their targets without a fail but because of simultaneous casting he can't defend himself from the desperate attacks that wanted to kill him

Fortunately, the City Lord was not alone! "[Wind Magic: Wind Ride!]"

The Magic Knight carrying Kryle's frozen body took his light green magic wand from his spatial ring and immediately activated a spell. The Knight casted his spell on the City Lord and green winds covered his body

The City Lord felt his body becoming light as if he was just a piece of a feather. The green winds on his body increased his speed a lot. This spell after all came from a Knight!

Otto skillfully dodged the fastest attacks without any wasted movements. As he has a powerful soul of a Grand Knight, it only took few seconds to recover from casting two spells at the same time

"[Ice Magic: Ice Barrier!]" Otto condensed multiple small barriers of ice and it defended him from the remaining attacks coming to him

The magic fluctuations from the fight of the City Lord and the Crane Clan was so intense that it was sensed by the Crane Clan Patriarch and the Guardian. The two most powerful mages of the Clan

The Patriarch managed the Clan's affair but he got that position because of his strength. He may be weaker than the Guardian but he was the second strongest mage of their Clan!

Two powerful auras erupted with anger as the two charge at where the battles were taking place. They still didn't know that it was the City Lord attacking them as they were focused on their things. If they knew it was Otto, how can they dare be angry

One of the auras was fiery as if it wants to burn down everything in the world while the other was slightly stronger and carried a powerful momentum. Their faces were flushed from anger and they emerged from two different location

However, when the City Lord fully erupted his aura, it easily destroyed the imposing manner of the auras of the two strongest mages of the Crane Clan

"T-This!" The guardian and the patriarch face both turned pale. To easily dispel their aura that can suppress weaker mages, it can only mean that it was a Grand Knight Mage that was attacking their Clan!

Sure enough, when the two reached the fighting area they saw an old man with white hairs. Their confidence was toss in the sewage and the only thing they thought was to appease the City Lord's anger to let their Clan survive

"C-City Lord!" The Patriarch cried out in both shock and fear. If it was normal times the Elders and remaining Magic Apprentices would break into glee when they saw him. However, with the City Lord's power there was nothing that the Patriarch and Guardian can do

Maybe, they can flee with some Clansmen but their Clan would be finished and be uprooted! It was all because of that damnable Kryle. If it wasn't because of him, how can their Clan reach this point?

Instead of answering to the Crane Patriarch, Otto activated a spell again. "[Ice Magic: Ice Lance!]" From his ice crystal like wand a condensed ice in the shape of Lance was formed and flew into one of the few Knights

He only attacked the Magic Apprentices and Magic Warriors before as their numbers are too many. They can attack him when he's fighting the Knights or flee. Even the Knights that Otto took with him might not be able to kill that many people if they resorted to fleeing

But now, all of them were distracted from their most powerful experts' arrival and this was the best time to kill!

The Ice Lance impaled one of the Knights' heart and he looked at the City Lord with shock on his face. The lance froze his heart and no blood was spilled from his chest but blood leaked down from the side of his mouth before his body heavily landed on the ground and died

As of now, only seven Knights remained from the Crane Clan and that's including the Patriarch and their Guardian

"C-City Lord please have mercy! May I know how our small Clan offended you? We promise to give you explanations just please don't exterminate our Clan!" The Patriarch pleaded. The Guardian was more powerful than him but in terms of negotiation skills he was better

"Your descendant caused trouble in the Gold Spring Restaurant before but I let him off but now he dared to destroy it and attacked the staffs inside. I already heard of your Clan's arrogance but I let you off in hopes that all of you will change but now I reached my patience! There won't be any negotiations here and I'll make you an example for the other Noble Clans!"

Hearing that it was because of Kryle, the patriarch looked at the kid with murderous intent. It was fine if he caused trouble to other restaurants but to the Gold Spring Restaurants that not only the City lord owned but also held dear, this is simply courting death for their whole Clan!

Kryle shivered in both fear and shame, he deeply regretted his actions. If he can turn back time, he would never dare do what he did. Too bad, he can't reverse time and there is not medicine for regret in this world

"Please don't exterminate our Clan! We will do anything City Lord!" Although the chances are low, the Patriarch still wanted to try begging for mercy. The City Lord is kind yet merciless! If he needs to strike, he won't hesitate to do it. Him letting the Crane Clan survive today was only wishful thinking

"This is non-negotiable! Third, stall them!" Otto said coldly. Third, the Knight with the City Lord nodded his head. As a wind mage not only, he can provide support but he can also prevent some people from escaping

The face of the Guardian on the side flushed with anger. They already pleaded for mercy yet the City Lord didn't give them any face

The Guardian is a prideful and arrogant mage. Well, how can he not? As a Bloodline Mage, he's almost invincible on the same rank! He even thinks that he's only a bit weaker than the City Lord. But Otto didn't have many mages on him now. He believed that with his own power and the other mages of the Clan, they can kill the City Lord today. If that happened then won't he become the new City Lord?

The Guardian's eyes flashed with madness and ambition before roaring on his fellow clansmen "This is a matter of survival kill this stinky old man!"

The Guardian used the power of his Bloodline and his eyes turned into an earthen brown one. He has the Bloodline of Earth Warrior. A being that was favored by the earth itself causing his affinity on it to rise. He had a fortunate encounter in the past and he gained a Bloodline that gave him more power

"[Earth Magic: Boulder Shot!]" Rocks covered the Guardian's hand and he pierced the ground with it. When his hand emerged from the ground the land followed his hand and formed a one-meter small boulder

The Guardian controlled the boulder and threw it from the City Lord's direction. Too bad for him, the Knight's Wind Ride spell was still active. Earth magic was famous for its defense and attack but what it lacks the most was speed!

Speed that Wind Mages excel at! With the help of the wind, the City Lord dodged the boulder coming on his way. The boulder's speed was only slow for powerful Knights and above but to mages below Knight Rank it was extremely fast!

The boulder went pass the City Lord and was about to hit empty air when the Guardian smirked evilly and shouted "Explode!"

The boulder cracked into smaller pieces of rocks and exploded in all directions. The City Lord was taken aback but he's still a Rank 3 Mage, his soul was stronger making his spell casting speed faster

"[Ice Magic: Ice Barrier!]" This time the barrier was a bit smaller than before and covered the whole side of the City Lord's body but because he activated the spell in haste its power was a bit weaker than normal. However, it was enough! With the help of the wind, Otto run away from the attacks but this time the Patriarch launched his own spell

"[Fire Magic: Searing Flame!]" A long line of flame was shot from the Patriarch's wand raising the temperature around it. The spell was packed with condensed flame and it can kill even Rank 3 mages if they were hit directly

Too bad for them the City Lord is not alone and even if he is, he can still take care of that spell although it would be a bit troublesome

"[Wind Magic: Wind Wave!]" A wave of green winds flew in the air with a speed even faster than the searing flame and slammed on it

Fire Magic has more destructive power than Wind Magic but as the source of the spell was close in terms of power the fire was only a bit stronger. The wind took with it a huge amount of fire power from the spell before vanishing

The Patriarch looked at the wind mage with a murderous look. Although as a Knight he can control his spell's trajectory but the remaining power of his spell wasn't enough to harm the City Lord. As the wind changed his spell's direction, it will take more time to reached Otto. But will Otto let a spell hit him?

He can either dodge with the Wind Ride or defend using barriers. The situation was grim for the Crane Clan even though their strongest experts were with them

The Guardian stared angrily at the two attackers of his Clan and gathered huge amounts of mana along with the power provided by his Bloodline

"[Earth Magic: Earth Giant's Fist!]" A spell circled appeared and from it emerged a huge giant's fist made from hard rocks. The Guardian controlled the spell and it flew in the air to attack the City Lord

The remaining Magic Apprentices, Warriors, and Knights also directed their attacks to the City Lord. The Patriarch wanted to cast a spell again but the Wind Mage won't let him

"[Wind Magic: Wind Cut!]" An arc of condensed green winds was shot from the Mage's wand and it aimed at the Patriarch's position. The Patriarch doesn't have a choice but to defend himself by directing his spell on the attack coming to him

Even without the Knight's help, the City Lord can still handle this much of combined attacks. Fortunately, the poison on his body does not have any direct effect on his fighting prowess. It only targeted his health and not his power

"[Ice Magic: Ice Wall!]" The City Lord pointed his wand on the ground and a thick wall of ice emerged from it. This time he used more mana to make sure that the wall was more powerful than before. It was enough to protect himself from all the spells

"[Ice Magic: Raining Swords!]" This time the City Lord pointed his wand above his attackers and tens of swords made from ice rained down from above killing all of its targets

As the Crane Clan was not like the City Lord that has a powerful soul and can use two spells at a time, they don't have the ability to defend themselves when they just used one of their powerful spells.. This caused the swords to harvest their lives. The City Lord's timing was simply perfect!
