Magicraft Meister Part 1

26 - 01-13 Attacks

Licia's sudden question made even Jin gasp in shock. However, he remembered what the director of the orphanage had once told him,

A person is a creature that cannot live alone. So we all live with the help of others.

"Yes, that's right."

Licia answered honestly.

"We are all suited to different things. There are things we can do and things we can't do.

"Yes, I understand.

"So, I think you should do what you can do.

When Jin said this, Licia looked down,

"...... what I can do.

She mutters. Jin said,

"I am not a nobleman, and I am not interested in politics. But you are, aren't you?

"What?"

"I don't like the idea of a person who doesn't question what he is doing being in charge.

Licia fell silent. She seemed to be thinking about what she had been told. Jin said nothing more and looked at the stars and the moon.

After confirming that the moon had been moving for about two hours, they went to the hut to take turns. The men were in the big room and Licia was in a separate room.

Jin wakes up Jonas and Linus, who are asleep and snoring in the big room.

"N......, you want to take over?"

"Yes, please."

"Yes, please." "Okay."

Jin takes over and lies down. He was tired from the daytime and immediately fell asleep.

Licia, on the other hand, had a hard time falling asleep. She was thinking about what Jin had told her.

What can I do? I guess finding out what it is will be my immediate task. ......"

The next morning was unusually cloudy. After breakfast in the dim light, the group left early. We walked through the forest, crossed a bridge over a creek, and walked through a meadow.

"At this rate, we should reach Toka village before nightfall.

I hope so.

The cart rumbles onward. We had lunch on schedule, so we had about 15 kilometers to go, or about four hours. The terrain around us was getting rocky.

After passing through this rocky area, we could see the village of Toka.

Rock cheered the group up.

We're almost there, just hang on.

And then...

"Whoa!

screamed Yang, who was in the last row.

"What's going on?

"Whoa, whoa, what the hell is that?"

When he turned around, he saw something oddly shaped approaching from behind.

"Is that a golem?"

Licia muttered.

"A golem? That thing?"

It was a two-meter tall humanoid figure wearing iron armor all over its body. It's pretty tough.

"Oh, there's one over here!"

Rock's voice. The same golem was approaching from the front.

"Are they after the wheat? d*mn it, you guys, take it easy!

The barley is precious to him, but there is no way he can defeat the golem in armor, and Locke's plaintive cry echoes through the air.

I won't let you!

Licia, you can't!

Licia, the only one with a sword, drew her shortsword and dismounted from her frightened horse, heading toward the golem that had come from ahead.

"Don't worry, I'm still learning swordsmanship! Ah!"

Licia lowered her stance and slashed at the golem's legs. But..,

"No way. ......"

The shortsword bent askew, not cutting through the golem's leg.

"That's what I'm telling you! Get back!"

Jin shouts as he rushes toward it,

"No! I may be an apprentice, but I am a knight! A knight (Ritter) protects everyone!

"Watch out!"

What?

The golem's fist was aimed at Licia.

Jin is a Magecraft Meister. The Magecraft Meister is actually incapable of offensive magic.

At best, his healing magic can heal cuts and grazes sustained in the course of his work. For this reason, he has been given an aptitude for creative magic. And there is the added bonus of not being able to affect things that have not been touched.

However, "cannot use offensive magic" does not necessarily mean "cannot attack. A chainsaw is a machine to cut down trees, but it can cut not only trees.

Well, that's what it means. Jin grabs the leather water bag at his waist,

"d*mn! Just in time! Water jet!"

"Ow!"

Licia's head was hit with a dull thud. It's over, she thought to herself.

But then she saw the golem's arm roll down in front of her with a metallic sound,

"Oh my God, ......?"

Fearfully, she looked up and saw the lower half of the golem. The upper body had fallen to the other side. It seemed that its arms had been torn off together, and its right arm was missing from the elbow.

His right arm was lying in front of him, and he understood that the dull impact he had felt earlier had been caused by the collision.

"Yes, yes, another one!

Remembering that a golem had attacked him from behind as well, he stood up and looked in that direction.

Jin was just about to cut through the golem with his water jet.

"No way. ......"

I had never seen such magic. It seems to be a water-based magic, but the only water-based attack magic I know of is the water stream or the water ball. Both of these magic methods can only be used when there is an abundance of water nearby.

"Licia, are you okay?"

Jin rushes over to her after confirming that the golem no longer appears.

"Yes, yes. I think I might have a bump on my head.

The golem's arm pats him on the head where it hit him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm a little late.

Jin-san, what was that magic?

What is that magic? Is it a water jet? That's engineering magic (craft magic) to process stone and iron?

"What? It has such a great power of attack?"

Licia was surprised,

"Let's talk about that later. Licia, can you use healing magic?

Jan, who was at the very back of the group, had been hit by the golem and had broken his arm.

"Oh, I'm fine. ......<>"

Licia rushes to Yang, puts her palm on his broken arm, and casts a spell. A pale light illuminated the affected area, and the swelling in the arm went down.

"Oh! Amazing!"

The men who were watching were also impressed.

"Thank you, Miss Licia."

Jan, then Locke thanked her.

"No, it's my duty."

Licia laughed and tended to the bump on her head.
