Chapter 42: Fuck Barbatos (Please read on, thanks for your support)
Martin only took a glance and felt that he was being pulled by the darkness surging from both sides of the corridor. The blood flow rate in his body slowed down, as if countless ice chips were mixed in his blood vessels.
"This is what an evil god should look like."
He closed his eyes, isolated the strange pulling feeling, and swung the long sword. The fire burning on the sword dispelled the coldness of his body.
The darkness did not stop, and approached Martin along the corridor, swallowing up the body, sound, light and even people's invisible perception.
Martin inserted the long sword into the floor, and the flames surged, breaking through the floor to form two walls of fire, and directly hit the surging darkness.
Sizzle——
The flames burned the darkness, and the orange-red light pierced the darkness, emitting foul-smelling black smoke, with a few piercing screams in the middle.
The thick darkness came from nowhere, and it continuously filled the area illuminated by the fire, like a black sea surging to extinguish the flames.
Martin did not use other spells and magic, but just held the hilt of the sword.
The inscription "Strike the enemy, eradicate all evil" on the sword became brighter with his will, and the surging flame gradually turned white, emitting more heat and light.
When the light turned white, he drew out his sword and slashed forward suddenly, illuminating the thick darkness, like smooth and soft silk being violently torn apart and revealing holes.
"I knew it wasn't that simple!"
Martin didn't move his feet to leave. He watched the torn darkness heal rapidly, filling the entire corridor again and killing him.
This time, it pulled out the blood and darkness that had soaked into the wall and mixed them together, roughly forming a human form, and then pressed the incomplete souls into these twisted human forms, turning into a monster with red eyes, roaring and rushing towards Martin.
"Wow, the zombies are out of the cage!"
Martin whistled at these guys who were no different from the skeleton soldiers, and slashed the long sword in his hand, and the pure white flames surged, turning into a huge sword blade and slashing down.
Boom!
The pure white blade fell, instantly burning the twisted humanoids made of blood and darkness into ashes. The flames burst out, burning the air, causing air pressure fluctuations, and then a big explosion.
The darkness was dispelled by the dazzling white light, the corridor collapsed, large pieces of rubble fell with a crackling sound, and the entire underground palace was shaking.
Martin was in the center of the collapse, and the silver moon danced around him, freezing all the rubble approaching him into ice cubes and shattering them.
The pure white flame that surged when the long sword sensed the evil darkness did not weaken because of the sword just now, but became more vigorous.
Martin waved the long sword that was almost turning into white light, walked in the shaking palace, and waved the sword casually, releasing waves of light.
The humanoids made of blood and darkness fell down in pieces like straws, and were burned to ashes by the flames. The darkness dissipated in the dazzling light, and the palace built of a large stone was as fragile as tofu just out of the pot in the flames, breaking at the touch.
Large streams of dark red blood flowed out of the collapsed rubble, and the light points flying out of the prison were as complex as the starry sky, falling into the silver moon or the cane, and resting.
"These damn bastards, what did Barbatos promise to make them betray humans like this."
Martin's eyes and heart were stung by the blood flowing from the wall, and his hatred for the Court of Owls and the Bat Tribe almost rushed to the sky.
The long sword in his hand felt the hatred of the sword holder for evil behavior, and the flames surged, and the power became stronger.
He walked and destroyed all the way. He didn't remember how much he destroyed, nor how many suffering and incomplete souls he saved. He let hatred dominate his actions and destroyed the building full of sin under his feet regardless.
Martin stopped swinging his sword only after the entire palace had become a ruin. His yew cane seemed to be coated with silver. The full moon that had brought rest to countless souls had become extremely large, suspended in the underground space, illuminating the ruins full of sin.
"Hu, hu, hu"
Martin panted, sweat wet his hair and fell down his cheeks.
Although the flame on the sword was fueled by sin and did not require Martin to provide magic power, it was also a very difficult physical job to swing the sword continuously.
After destroying this underground building, his whole body was sore, but there was no ease in solving the problem.
Although all the people in the Court of Owls were dead, the monsters of the Bat Tribe had not yet appeared, and the claws had not appeared, not to mention that the darkness that was most likely from Barbatos was still wandering in the ruins.
Martin walked through the ruins, and the moon above his head always shone on him, dispelling the darkness that wanted to approach him.
Following the darkness wandering in the ruins, he came to a pile of bricks and rubble. Thick darkness poured out from the cracks of the bricks and tiles, like the tentacles of a sea monster.
He waved his cane, and the moon above his head cast a huge beam of light, instantly wiping out the pile of rubble, and punching a hole with a diameter of five meters in the ground.
Thick darkness erupted from the big hole, swallowing up the sound and light around the hole, forming an absolutely silent and insensitive space.
Martin raised the cane that contained countless souls in front of him, and it burst into warm and soft light, forming a shield to block the darkness that was pressing towards him.
He leaned forward slightly, and his heart was instantly in turmoil.
He saw nothing, but every ray of darkness that passed by his ears was filled with the wailing of countless men and women, as if he could see countless people being tortured by torture instruments.
No mistakes in one poem, one post, one content, one 6, one 9, one book, one bar!
Martin used the moonlight to isolate the despair and pain of the souls overflowing in the darkness.
He closed his eyes and felt for the first time the deep malice that was everywhere in this world.
The Court of Owls spent hundreds of years building such an underground palace with countless corpses underground, enjoying their self-proclaimed emperor's life.
How many innocent people have been trampled under the feet of the Bat Tribe that has served Barbatos since the Wasteland Era and has been transformed into monsters?
Martin didn't know the answer. Even if he had stood in front of the abyss of sin created by the other party, he couldn't get an answer.
Countless souls endured endless torture, giving birth to despair and pain that would never end.
Facing such an abyss, Martin had the idea of retreating.
When the pain hit him, he couldn't help thinking that the headquarters of the Court of Owls was finished, and Barbatos couldn't attack him or Gotham in a short time.
Now he can completely withdraw. It won't be too late to deal with Barbatos after collecting the cards of the Justice League.
"Save, save us..."
But listening to the weak cry for help squeezed out of the pain, Martin threw the idea of leaving behind.
"Fuck Barbatos, a guard dog that can't enter the door, what's there to be afraid of."
If it was his personal grudge, Martin would not be so firm.
He is a big-hearted person. If he can't completely kill Barbatos, even if the opponent's minions are right across, he won't rush to kill them.
If it wasn't for saving those suffering souls, he wouldn't want to wait for a second.
He raised his cane, the moon shone, and the long sword ignited white flames again, colliding with the darkness.
