Marvel: Breezing Through History as an Eternal

Chapter 181: Building to Building. 2012 CE

It was a chaotic time, the people in the buildings were trapped and cannot go down because of the rubble, and people can only pray to whatever god they believe in that they will come out of this safely.

Suddenly, a group of Chitauri broke through the window glass, and started blasting the people, making them scream and take cover behind their desks. A man then slammed the emergency door open, and rushed to the Chitauri. His hands glowed bronze, and he slammed it towards the Chitauri, killing them all easily.

His hands were bloodied with the blue blood of the Chitauri, and looked at the civilians.

“Y’all alright?” he asked, his face cloaked.

“Y-Yes…” one stuttered.

“Okay, the stairs are clear now, you can go down,” he informed. “After you go down, do not go to the streets, you understand? Go to the basement or the subway.”

“R-Right…”

“Then go!”

The civilians quickly ran towards the stairs. The man, who was Isaiah, walked towards the broken window, looking at the sky. He saw that the sky was brightly lit, as if there was a second sun shining.

“You okay there?” Spoke Isaiah to the comms.

“I’m fine! Just deal with the portal!“

“Well I don’t know how to close it!” Kojirou spoke.

“It’s Loki!” Cleo answered. “His sceptre must be worth something! Kojirou, where are you?”

“I’m in front of the tower, bloody Stark shot the barrier and it knocked me down. Where are you?”

“I’m near you, come find me.”

“Roger that.”

As soon as Kojirou said that, Isaiah saw that a Leviathan was flying to his building, which made the civilians scared at the sight. Isaiah frowned, and took a step back from the window.

“Everybody, pick up the pace!” he shouted. “Come on!”

He knew that it was useless to yell at them, so he turned towards the approaching Leviathan, and made a run for it.

He dashed towards the office room, and jumped from the window, breaking it. As soon as he neared the Leviathan, his arms turned bronze once again, his eyes also turned bronze.

“Your sins… too heavy.” he said, and he slammed his right fist on the Leviathan’s head. His punch was so heavy that it punctured the armour, penetrating through the meat of the Leviathan.

His smash broke through the sound barrier, and it broke the surrounding windows. The Leviathan’s head then ducked down from the force, and the body slammed towards the ground so fast that it caused a quick earthquake.

The Avengers have now assembled, and the Hulk has slammed a Leviathan also. Captain America was giving commands to the others, and finally, he turned to the Hulk.

“And Hulk?” he said, making the green beast turn to him. “Smash.”

The Hulk grinned widely, and jumped towards a nearby building.

“Wait.” said Thor suddenly, as he hasn’t left yet. “I know someone, he might be able to help us in this.”

“Why say it now?” Romanoff asked.

“Because he might not want to agree with my request…” he said weakly. “Loki is his favourite…”

“What do you mean Loki is his favourite? He’s destroying New York right about now.” Steve argued.

“I know, but he’s—”

The earthquake from Isaiah’s slammed suddenly could be felt from the ground below them. “What was that?” Thor asked.

“Might be from our allies.” said Steve, frowning.

“Allies? Do we have allies in this?” Thor questioned.

“They wore rings and have lived for hundreds of years, kind of like you Thor.”

“Ha! So he helped us after all!” Thor grinned as he spun his hammer. “Do not worry, he’ll save us all.”

He then released his hammer, travelling to the tallest building in New York City.

Rogers was now breaking through a building where a lot of people had been trapped. He was killing Chitauri left and right, all the while trying to pull the energy blasts from the civilians.

He threw a dead Chitauri toward the civilians and shouted. “Everyone, clear out!”

But suddenly, a Chitauri grabbed Steve from the back, and he struggled to get out of the grip. A man then grabbed the Chitauri’s head, before crushing it just beside Steve’s head.

Steve looked at the man, gasping for air. “Are you one of them?”

“You can say that.” the man hummed, it was Isaiah. He had tons of emotions looking at Steve, but he ultimately buried it. “Nice to meet you, Captain Rogers.”

Rogers nodded. “And you are?”

Isaiah put off his hood, and smiled at Rogers. “A patriot once. Just like you.”

More Chitauri suddenly pour from the windows, and the two hold them off, Isaiah with his ring, and Steve with his shield. As they killed the last of them, Steve saw that Isaiah’s hood was already on again, and his hands bloodied. “My name is Isaiah Bradley, captain. You should remember that name, as I’m your junior.”

Steve was confused at first, but his eyes widened as he just realised what he just said. “Wait–”

Before Steve could stop him, Isaiah already jumped to another building, leaving the shocked Rogers alone.
