Master Craftsman of the Pokemon World
#70 - Legendary dragon? It doesn't look right.
Unova Region, north of Striaton City, Pledge Grove.
This is a secluded grove with a pond and a massive rock, where three unique Pokémon gather: one resembling a sheep, one resembling a cow, and one resembling a deer. They are the legendary Swords of Justice: Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion!
Cobalion, resembling a sheep, is quadrupedal with teal fur, lightning-shaped yellow steel horns, and sky-blue around its muzzle. It has a tuft of white fur under its neck, giving it a dignified appearance. It is also the leader of the legendary Swords of Justice!
However, the Swords of Justice do not always stay together. Sometimes, they reside in the Guidance Chamber, the Trial Chamber, and the Thinking Field. They also roam around Unova, honing their move 'Sacred Sword' and rescuing weak Pokémon in distress.
Pledge Grove is where the three of them gather and pledge their allegiance to each other as the Swords of Justice. Today, they have reunited here to periodically share their experiences from their travels and to constantly monitor the relationship and movements between humans and Pokémon.
Cobalion is currently conversing with the other two swordsmen. Not long ago, it had a bizarre dream that greatly irritated it!
"You say a legendary dragon attacked you in the dream world?"
Virizion, a grass-type swordsman with a green body resembling a combination of an antelope and a deer, looked utterly incredulous.
The legendary dragons are Pokémon from ancient Unova tales, the Dragon of Truth and the Dragon of Ideals, who once built and then destroyed the Unova region, like deities.
The Swords of Justice have lived for many years and naturally know this legend.
"I'm not sure if it was the legendary dragon, although it certainly had the appearance of a dragon, could use dragon-type moves, and was definitely a Pokémon never seen in Unova. Next time, I'll make it regret its actions." Cobalion was furious at the encounter that night. The huge dragon directly invaded its dream. At the time, it was practicing swordsmanship in the dream world, releasing steel-type energy between its two steel horns to form sharp triangular swords, and the dragon immediately fixed its eyes on its steel horns, its eyes shining as if it had spotted a treasure!
"Undoubtedly, it used fire-type and dragon-type moves, very similar to the legend of the Dragon of Truth burning the Unova region with flames, but its body didn't have white parts."
Cobalion recalled that the dragon with a mane and a crystal crown on its head first attacked with Dragon Pulse and Dragon Tail, and then used Flamethrower, Sunny Day, and Fire Fang!
The opponent's Flamethrower was incredibly powerful, far beyond that of ordinary Pokémon. It took a fierce battle to drive it away, but its steel horn was bitten off. Fortunately, it was in a dream. Otherwise, if its steel horn broke, where would it put the face of a Sword of Justice!
"Hahaha, the dragon you described certainly has some differences from the legendary dragons of Unova... Or perhaps the legend itself has been distorted?"
Terrakion, resembling a bovine creature, laughed heartily, then asked, "So, although there are differences in color scheme and appearance, if that really is a legendary dragon, does it mean that a hero is about to appear?"
"The hero of truth and the hero of ideals? Those are just guys who will restart the flames of war on the Unova land." Cobalion's anger was not extinguished, and it was even more annoyed when it heard the so-called hero's name: "Humans are neither good nor evil, they just use different ideas to attack what is opposite to them, and so-called truth and ideal are such things."
Terrakion thought of something at this moment: "I recently discovered some humans who are searching for the Unova legend while I was training. They are wearing strange clothes and are secretly active near the Pokémon League built by humans. It seems they are building something underground... I vaguely heard about 'king' and 'hero', and saw a green-haired man who seems to be the 'king' of those humans. Could this be the reason why the legendary dragon awakened in the dream? If it has already appeared in the dream world, it won't be too far from appearing in the real world."
"If we're not sure, how about asking that guy?" Virizion, who had been listening to the news, opened its mouth at the right time: "That guy living in Giant Chasm, it's also a dragon, it should know about the legendary dragon, right?"
During the Swords of Justice's travels, they inevitably encountered many unique Pokémon. In the remote location of the Unova region, there is a Giant Chasm, said to be where a meteorite fell in ancient times, forming a huge cave. When the Swords of Justice were still young, they once entered the cave and met a Pokémon named Kyurem.
Later, they regarded challenging Kyurem as proof of becoming a Sword of Justice. Over time, they gradually got to know the ice dragon. However, Kyurem refused to talk about its past, and its attitude towards the Swords of Justice was still somewhat indifferent, although it acknowledged them.
"That's right! Kyurem should know something, it's also a Pokémon that has lived for a long time and knows a lot about various ancient legends!"
"To deal with the Unova crisis that may appear, we must borrow Kyurem's power!"
The Swords of Justice nodded to each other and quickly disappeared from Pledge Grove, ready to cross most of the Unova region and head to Giant Chasm!
The northernmost part of the Unova region, beneath the Pokémon League.
Even the Elite Four and the Champion, as well as all the staff of the League, don't know that in this sacred and solemn giant mountain representing the highest glory of trainers, there is actually another unknown and even larger building, a castle more magnificent than the League building, with a golden and brilliant interior, extremely gorgeous.
While other regions were welcoming daylight, Unova was just entering the night. In the castle, a tall man was comforting a Zoroark. He was wearing a black-gray baseball cap, had emerald green hair, wore a beige long shirt, had a star-like pendant hanging on his chest, and a Menger sponge that looked like a Rubik's cube hanging on his waist.
He is N, the apparent king of Team Plasma, who is determined to change the world, give Pokémon friends freedom, and create a world that belongs only to Pokémon.
However, today he is providing psychological counseling for his Pokémon.
Yesterday, his Zoroark had a bizarre dream. It was attacked by a dragon Pokémon it had never seen before, which tore off its proud red mane and bit its head without letting go. The opponent's power was so great that it was impossible to resist. It was being completely ravaged. It was a complete nightmare, but fortunately it finally woke up, thus avoiding the fate of being plucked bald!
The strange dragon spewed blazing fire, and Zoroark used Illusion to replicate the appearance of 'Walking Wake', believing that this was the legendary dragon its master had been looking for.
However, N was somewhat silent.
One of the legendary dragons can indeed use flames to burn the earth, as recorded in Unova's legends, but would a legendary dragon rudely break into the dreams of ordinary Pokémon and tear off their hair?
Isn't that a little too lacking in divinity? Even a roadside Herdier wouldn't do such a thing; this isn't even a Pokémon battle.
Moreover, the appearance and color scheme are not quite right, too different from the legend, and do not meet his psychological expectations.
But N felt that the appearance of this dream must have its meaning. Strange dreams appear in the Unova region, and it has been like this since ancient times. No one can explain why. More people regard these dreams as a kind of predictive dream, although they are not very accurate. Therefore, it is better to treat them as ordinary nightmares and not think about those strange things.
However, this dream was extraordinary. N wanted Zoroark to try to dream of the dragon again, but Zoroark obviously had a psychological shadow—it didn't plan to sleep tonight.
For N, Pokémon are his friends, so if a friend is resistant to this matter, he will naturally not force the friend to do things they don't like. He can only provide some psychological counseling. At this time, a Team Plasma member shouted in the castle, saying, "Lord Ghetsis is back."
"Oh, N, I have good news for you."
"On this trip, I have once again found like-minded people. Now the idea of One King and Seven Sages has basically been realized. At the same time, I have also found props that can allow you to gain the recognition of the legendary dragon. Soon that item will be sent to Unova."
"Next, I have decided to conduct a tour of speeches throughout Unova to make more people aware of the cruelty of Pokémon battles and let them know that humans should not restrain Pokémon creatures because of their selfish desires...! Our ideal is getting closer and closer, the era of strife among the people will soon come to an end, and Unova will enter a new era."
The latest novels are first published on 69shu.
"But unfortunately, I still haven’t been able to collect much information about the legendary dragon, and I’ve traveled to many ruins, but I haven’t found any major discoveries."
"This Sage is Zinzolin."
Ghetsis, with light green hair and wearing a gorgeous cloak, paced from the end of the castle's corridor, while introducing another old man beside him, a like-minded Sage he had met during his travels around the world.
"Legendary Dragon..." N's eyes flickered. He thought briefly, then said, "Regarding the legendary dragon, my Pokémon had a bizarre dream."
N told Ghetsis about Zoroark's strange dream yesterday.
After listening, Ghetsis's expression changed slightly, but when he heard about the dragon's terrible behavior, even a Machiavellian like him couldn't help but look like an old man on the subway with a phone.
How could the legendary dragon behave like this? Even if it has been asleep for too long and lost itself in the dream, it shouldn't be so undignified!
If we use this to promote the hero, everyone will probably burst out laughing, right?
Moreover, the color scheme is not right. The dragons in Unova legends should be one black and one white. Or has it changed its appearance over the long years? Or are there some distorted parts in the legend's records?
".What a bizarre dream. So you think that thing is the legendary dragon? Although I think something is wrong, but thinking about it carefully, sometimes we can't completely follow the legendary records to search. So far, we have investigated many legends, but we still have no way to find where the legendary dragon is sleeping. Perhaps the next investigation route needs to be changed, and we need to pay special attention to some strangely shaped things."
"However, I did find some strange records in some documents before..." Ghetsis didn't continue, because he had investigated those contents and found them to be somewhat like nonsense.
There are actually three legendary dragons? However, there is very little information about the third dragon. There are only a few words recorded in the documents, which can basically be ignored. In addition, the Unova legends are basically centered around the black and white dragons. Maybe the third dragon is actually an ancient Hydreigon...
But now, Ghetsis had an idea.
Could that rude dragon in the dream be the third dragon in the documents?
It seems that we need to collect relevant information a little bit!
