Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#629 - Station (seeking monthly ticket recommendation)
"Mom! They're yelling at me!"
Seeing her three older brothers, who had been arguing amongst themselves, suddenly unite against her, Ginny immediately ran to her mother Molly, complaining.
"George, Fred, Ron, how many times have I told you not to bully your sister?" Molly said, lovingly embracing Ginny, before turning to the three boys with a displeased look. "You don't know how to be good brothers at all."
"Mom, it's not our fault!" George couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Exactly, it's Ginny who's always showing off in front of us. You saw how smug she looked just now," Fred chimed in.
"That's right, we're working so hard to try and pull a Legendary item, but in her mouth, it's like a common toy. Tell me, is that infuriating or not?" Ron added, also turning his guns on Ginny.
The three of them practically wore their discontent on their faces, mainly because Ginny was just too hateful. Relying on having Anduin, the alchemy master godfather, she never lacked good things, while they could only stare enviously, and if they wanted something, they could only try their luck with the blind boxes at Silver Shimmer Commerce with great effort. It would be a lie to say they weren't jealous.
And what was even more infuriating was that after Ginny got a treasure from Anduin, she not only didn't let them play with it, but she showed it off in front of them every day, constantly showing off!
This made Ron and the others feel even more unbalanced, so these brothers got extremely annoyed whenever they saw Ginny flaunting in front of them.
"That's no excuse for you to yell at your sister!" Molly scolded, glaring at the three brothers. "Isn't it natural to let your sister have the good things?
"Besides, all you guys know how to do every day is run off to draw those stupid blind boxes. What's so fun about those things? Every time you go to Diagon Alley, you bring back a pile of useless junk, wasting money. Although the family's financial situation is a bit better than before, but…"
"But we need to remember the hard times, right, Mom?" George interjected with a smile. "If you ask me, you should confiscate all the treasures Ginny has, and let her remember the hard times too!"
"You brat, you dare to talk back?" Molly angrily reached out and pinched his ear. "I think I should deduct all your pocket money, so you won't throw your money away in those shops. It was you and Fred who were messing around before, and now you've corrupted Ron too. That kid has even learned to brag now. I bet you two taught him!"
"Ouch! Ouch!" George grimaced and begged for mercy. "It's not our fault. It's Ron who likes to exaggerate. What does that have to do with us?"
"I wasn't bragging! I really saw someone pull a Legendary item!" Ron said, feeling wronged when he saw that even his mother was doubting him.
"I think you should just admit you were bragging, otherwise Mom will definitely deduct your pocket money!" Ginny poked her head out, making a face at Ron with a teasing expression.
"You…" Seeing his sister provoking him again, Ron was instantly infuriated, but in his haste, he suddenly caught sight of Harry, who was watching from the side, and immediately shouted, "It's him! That boy who pulled the Legendary item is him!"
With that, Ron pushed his trolley towards Harry as if he had found a lifeline. "Tell them, I wasn't bragging. You were the one who pulled the Legendary item that day, right!"
Seeing Ron's actions, the twins, Molly, Ginny, Percy, and others all curiously turned their gazes to Harry.
At the same time, Fred mocked, "Ron, that's enough. You can't just point at anyone and say it's him, can you?"
"Exactly!" George seamlessly chimed in, addressing Harry. "Young man, I see you're also a Hogwarts freshman. Although I don't know what your relationship with Ron is, it's best not to brag with him."
But Ron was now looking at Harry earnestly, as if he was his savior.
"Uh… are you talking about the Legendary item pulled from the Silver Shimmer Commerce blind box? I did pull it," Harry said, stunned for a moment, but quickly telling the truth.
"Oh?"
Hearing Harry's reply, George and Fred exchanged surprised glances, then rushed forward and said in unison, "Really? Can we see it?"
"Ah? Oh…" To be honest, Harry didn't know how attractive the Legendary item was to these guys who were addicted to drawing blind boxes, but he honestly pulled the pendant from his chest. "Vivian from the store told me it's called [Spectre]."
"Spectre! Cool…" George and Fred stared wide-eyed at the dazzling lightning pendant on Harry's chest, and exclaimed in admiration.
"See! I told you I wasn't lying. You always slander me!" Ron shouted triumphantly at the two, as if he had finally vented his anger.
But when he came back to his senses, he realized that George and Fred were ignoring him completely, and instead, were crowding around Harry, chatting and laughing.
"It really is a Legendary item. You can tell just by looking at it that this necklace is magical," Fred said, his eyes fixed on [Spectre].
"How did you pull it? Is there some exclusive luck-changing ritual? Can you teach us?" George put his arm around Harry's shoulder, asking with a grin.
"Ah? No, I just pulled it randomly," Harry said, scratching his head a little shyly at the twins' sudden enthusiasm.
"How is that possible!" Fred exclaimed in surprise. "That's not what Hogge said. He said there are definitely skills to pulling good things. We used 20 racks of ribs to get that out of his mouth."
"Yeah, yeah, don't you remember doing anything special back then?" George also asked indirectly.
"Well, if there was anything, it would be…" Seeing how eager the twins were, Harry truthfully said, "When I bought the blind boxes, I specifically chose the ugly ones. I don't know if that counts?"
"Ah? It's that simple?" George and Fred were stunned. "Doesn't that mean there's no such thing as luck when drawing blind boxes?"
"I heard it from someone else. Those luck-changing rituals are mostly spread by that dog to trick people," Harry uncharitably revealed what Vivian had told him.
Hearing this, George's eyes widened, and he exchanged an angry glance with Fred, then they cursed in unison, "Damn it! That bastard Hogge!"
"George, Fred! Stop bothering people!" Molly suddenly appeared from behind at some point, pinching both of their ears with one hand each.
After tossing the two yelping boys aside, Molly looked at Harry with a slightly apologetic expression. "I'm sorry, they're too addicted to playing those blind boxes. Didn't scare you, did they?"
"Oh no, you don't have to be polite," Harry said, shaking his head nervously, then suddenly remembered something and held up his ticket. "By the way, can you tell me how to get to Platform 9 and 3/4?"
"How to get to the platform? Don't worry, dear. My son Ron is also going to Hogwarts for the first time this year. You can just follow behind him later," Molly briefly explained how to enter the platform to Harry, then directed Percy, Fred, and George to walk through the barrier between Platforms 9 and 10.
When it was Ron's turn, he took the opportunity to wink at Harry. "Hey, I'll wait for you on the other side. Thanks for helping me!"
With that, Ron pushed his luggage straight ahead. Seeing them disappear one by one, Harry swallowed hard under Molly's encouragement and walked straight towards the stone wall.
"So why are these boys always so fascinated by alchemy items? I see Godfather has many alchemy items that can be called 'Legendary items'. I don't even bother picking them up," Ginny muttered helplessly after seeing her brothers leave.
"I don't know, but don't always tease your brothers like that. I think Anduin has spoiled you. I'm going to write him a letter when we get back," Molly glared at Ginny.
"Hehe, Godfather can't control me this year," Ginny said with a sly smile. "I heard he's going to Hogwarts to be a professor, he definitely won't have time to run outside."
"Really?" Molly said, slightly surprised. "Why didn't you say so earlier? Doesn't that mean your brothers are going to become Anduin's students?"
"I deliberately kept it from them!" Ginny raised her head triumphantly. "I'm going to make Godfather give those guys a hard time, so they won't always give me the stink eye."
"You…" Molly playfully poked Ginny's head, then looked worriedly in the direction the others had left. "I don't know how Anduin will teach them. I remember he almost worked people to death when he was an Auror instructor. Those Aurors complained to Arthur."
"Right!" Molly suddenly remembered. "Who was that little boy who appeared just now? Why doesn't he have any family to see him off?"
"Don't ask me, but I think that kid looks silly, like he's easy to bully," Ginny said with a sly smile, then took her mother's hand and skipped out of the station.
On the other side, Harry had already joined up with Ron, and was now admiring the old-fashioned train and the bustling young wizards around him with wide eyes.
"Don't just stand there, let's get on the train!"
Although Ron was also riding the train for the first time, he took the lead in front of Harry very proactively. Soon, the two boarded the century-old steam train.
"So, what's your name? I'm Ron, Ron Weasley!" After finally finding an empty compartment to sit in, Ron looked at Harry with great interest. The other boy had helped him a lot earlier.
"I'm Harry Potter, you can just call me Harry," Harry said with a smile.
