Upon discovering a stranger in his vault, Lucius immediately assumed Death Eaters had come to make trouble for him!
But after seeing who it was, Lucius's face twisted in anger.

"Anduin! Why are you in my house, and how dare you trespass in the Malfoy family vault?"
In response to Lucius's questioning, Anduin simply closed the book he was reading, turned around, and smiled faintly, "I've certainly been waiting a while. I've practically ransacked your broken-down manor, and this is the only place that's been remotely interesting."
With that, Anduin pointed to the bookshelf behind him, looking regretful as he said, "But the Malfoy family's inventory doesn't seem to be up to par. It's far inferior to the Travers family's. Yulia should have sent her little brother some good stuff besides just Dark Arts objects."
"You!"
To have someone break into his home silently was already embarrassing enough, but Anduin was acting as if he were picking through scraps, which enraged Lucius.
At the same time, a chill ran down Lucius's spine. How did he know about his sister Yulia, and the Travers family?
He even knew that Yulia had given him Dark Arts objects. Had this guy visited the Travers's home as well? What was his relationship with Yulia?
"What exactly do you want? Where's Narcissa? How could she allow you to act so presumptuously?" Lucius asked, suppressing his doubts and fear, still maintaining his aristocratic facade.
"Don't worry," Anduin chuckled. "Your wife is sound asleep in the bedroom. I have no interest in harming the old, weak, or women."
"Harm? What do you mean?"
Lucius immediately became alert upon hearing this, and he reached into his robes, but instead of a wand, he pulled out a communicator.
Clearly, Lucius knew he was no match for Anduin.
"You… Don't come any closer! I advise you to leave immediately, or I'll call the Ministry of Magic!" Lucius shouted, trying to maintain his composure.
"Heh, I didn't realize you were such a good customer. This communicator is a high-end model worth 40 Galleons," Anduin said with his arms crossed, sneering mercilessly. "Since you want to call the police, I'll give you a chance. Go ahead and call!"
As he spoke, Anduin slowly approached Lucius, the mocking expression on his face becoming clearer.
"Anduin! Don't be arrogant, someone will be able to stop you!"
Lucius's expression finally cracked. In front of Anduin, he frantically activated the communicator's screen and dialed the Ministry of Magic's emergency number.
But just as the call was connecting, an inappropriate ringing sound echoed through the room.
Then Lucius saw Anduin also take out a communicator, and press the answer button. At the same time, Anduin's chilling face appeared on the screen in front of Lucius.
"Hello? Is someone reporting an emergency?"
Anduin asked in a deliberately exaggerated tone, before looking up with a surprised expression.
"Ah! It's Mr. Malfoy. How can I help you? Could it be that a bad guy has illegally broken into your home? No way? No way? That's just too bad."
"You…!"
Lucius was so angry that he couldn't even speak. His face was purple, and he pointed a trembling finger at Anduin, seeming to want to say something, but the words were stuck in his throat.
"What's wrong?" Anduin asked mockingly, approaching Lucius step by step. "Didn't you want to call the police? Show me all your tricks!"
"You! Don't come any closer!" Lucius muttered for a long time, only managing to utter those weak words.
"Screw you!"
Anduin had been holding back his anger for a long time, and he wasn't about to be polite with Lucius. As he got close, he kicked out, sending the other man flying four or five meters.
Before Lucius could land, Anduin's figure flashed like a gust of wind, appearing in front of him and grabbing a fistful of his meticulously styled, pale blond hair.
"You dare to play dirty tricks on my goddaughter? You've got some nerve!" Anduin snarled, his face contorted with rage.
Then he raised his hand and punched Lucius in the face, one punch after another, until the other man was screaming and clutching his head.
"Ah!"
Lucius felt as if his head was being crushed by a dragon. The pain was so intense that he didn't even have time to react before the next blow came.
After hitting his face, Anduin swung a hook punch, hammering Lucius's chest and abdomen relentlessly, without any of his usual elegant fighting style. It looked like he was beating up an old man, showing no mercy.
Then Anduin grabbed his hair and beat him mercilessly, until he didn't even have the strength to scream, before throwing him to the ground in a fit of pique.
Lucius's face was a bloody mess. If you didn't know him well, you probably wouldn't recognize him.
But Anduin wasn't finished yet.
"What do you have to say now?" Anduin stomped on Lucius's chest, his eyes flashing with cold killing intent. "I'll give you one sentence, don't even think about trying to weasel out of this. Remember… your life and death depend on what you say."
Lucius's consciousness was blurred from the beating, and all he could feel was pain, but Anduin's words seemed to have a magical power, reaching deep into his mind.
Lucius naturally understood what Anduin meant. Clearly, his little trick of slipping that diary to the Weasley's little girl had been exposed.
But wasn't that just an ordinary Dark Arts book? And how was he supposed to know that little girl was your goddaughter!
Lucius's heart was filled with grievances and resentment, but Anduin's threat was imminent. He could clearly sense that if he said something that displeased the other man, his life would truly be in danger!
And for Anduin, the cost of killing him… was probably no greater than crushing an ant. You could tell from the earlier emergency call that no one in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, or even the entire Ministry of Magic, would stand up for him.
"I… I'm sorry! I was wrong, I really know I was wrong! Please, spare me…"
Lucius's face was covered in blood and tears, and he struggled to get up, facing the demon who had just beaten him into a pig, and could only beg pathetically and without dignity.
"Heh, I thought you would refute me with the resounding voice of a so-called aristocrat, have you even given up on trying to weasel out of this?" Anduin sneered without any pity at Lucius's miserable state.
"I was blinded by hatred, I really didn't know she was your goddaughter, and I never wanted to be your enemy, please spare me, I'll do whatever you want!"
Lucius was completely terrified at this point, and he also recognized Anduin's true colors. This young man was clearly not the kind of person who would reason with you.
In his mind, only the former Voldemort could compare to such an unscrupulous person, so he very cleverly gave up the opportunity for equal dialogue.
"People say that you Lucius are smooth and sophisticated, speaking to people like people and speaking to ghosts like ghosts. Now it seems that's true. You were just clamoring to call the police, and now you're changing your tune so quickly."
Anduin was disgusted by Lucius's lack of backbone, so his words were full of sarcasm and disdain.
Then Anduin slowly squatted down, grabbed Lucius's collar and lifted his upper body. "In the past decade or so, those who have opposed me are either dead, like Yaxley, or have become my servants, like Karkaroff. Have you figured out your position? I won't give you a chance to live like I did with Yulia."
"Yaxley? Karkaroff? Could it be… was my sister forced out by you?"
Hearing Anduin mention those names, Lucius was suddenly shocked. Could it be that those Death Eaters who died, fled, or were imprisoned back then were all Anduin's doing?
But he was only a teenager back then!
At this moment, Lucius couldn't help but recall the time when he lost to Anduin in front of everyone, along with 10 other people.
And…
Torkil died inexplicably in the interrogation room, Rowle suddenly went crazy, Karkaroff betrayed the Death Eaters but lived to this day, and Yulia fled England in disgrace.
In an instant, those strange things that happened back then were all connected by Lucius. The answer was Anduin.
In other words, he already had the strength and cunning to manipulate Death Eaters at will back in those days?
Suddenly, Anduin's delicate face became more terrifying than a monster in Lucius's eyes.
This guy wasn't the hero people thought he was! Or an entrepreneur! But another living demon! A devil in disguise!
Thinking of this, Lucius couldn't help but shiver, then looked at Anduin tremblingly, mumbling timidly and humbly, "I understand, I am willing to offer you my loyalty, Lord Wilson!"
"Your loyalty? I can't trust the loyalty of someone like you." Anduin smiled coldly. "I prefer something more practical than verbal allegiance."
With that, Anduin held out a finger in front of Lucius.
Then Lucius saw a tiny, toothpick-sized silver snake slowly crawl out, then follow his finger and land on his face, plunging headfirst into his eye.
"Ah!! No!!"
Lucius felt an unbearable pain erupt in his head, making him scream.
At the same time, he could clearly feel the little snake following his eyelid and burrowing into his brain.
But the pain came quickly and went quickly. After a while, he relaxed, but that sense of fear lingered in Lucius's heart.
"It's nothing, just adding some insurance," Anduin said, dropping his collar, standing up, and looking at him coldly, while pointing to his head.
"From now on, you're mine, and you'll never betray me, because I know exactly what you're thinking!"
"You… I… you!"
Lucius stared blankly into space, muttering incoherently.
It wasn't until a moment later that he recognized the reality and smiled bitterly, bowing respectfully to Anduin. "Yes, sir."
"Yes, sir."
"I won't tell you what benefits you'll get after following me, or what kind of future I'll give you."
Anduin's expression was still extremely cold. "Because this isn't so-called loyalty, I'm just controlling you, controlling your behavior, your thoughts, everything about you, understand?"
"Yes, sir, thank you for your honesty," Lucius nodded, his eyes gradually losing their self.
But soon, he struggled to lift his head. "Sir, you can do whatever you want to me, but please spare my child, spare Draco, he's innocent, and he has nothing to do with those Death Eaters."
"Heh, I didn't realize you cared so much about your child," Anduin sneered. "Don't worry, as long as you serve me honestly, Draco will not only be fine, but will also receive the best education and care."
"And…" Anduin met Lucius's eyes again. "If it weren't for Draco, do you think I'd be wasting my time talking nonsense with you? I'd rather turn you into a corpse than waste resources on you."
Lucius was shocked and frightened, but also felt a trace of luck and relief. Clearly, Draco weighed more heavily in his heart than he did.
Confirming that Lucius had completely surrendered, Anduin healed his injuries and seriously instructed him on a few things.
Among them was not to reveal his relationship with him to others, not even his family.
As for normal times, Lucius would continue to live as usual, and his position and attitude would not need to change, still maintaining that pure-blood supremacist persona.
In his eyes, Lucius was really a dispensable existence. His only role was to infiltrate those pure-blood families and collect intelligence for him.
But thinking of the resistance he might encounter when promoting the Horcrux project and the magical car in the future, having Lucius assisting him would probably make things easier.
After resolving the matter at Malfoy Manor, Anduin quietly left, as if he had never been there.
But Lucius, who had returned to normal, was still lying stiffly on the floor, not only because of the lingering pain in his body, but also because of the bitterness that lingered in his heart.
But even so, he didn't say a single bad word about Anduin, not even in his mind.
It wasn't that he didn't want to, but that he didn't dare. Lucius had been completely terrified by Anduin.
Remembering everything that had just happened, Lucius stared blankly at the ceiling, and two lines of tears flowed uncontrollably from the corners of his eyes.
What the hell was I thinking, provoking such an evil… no, a strong person?
