Mastering Lightning from Hogwarts
#822 - Ice and Fire Giant Wolf
Faced with the sudden outburst from Hog, the young wizards present were somewhat at a loss. They never expected him to be so petty, resorting to revenge after the fact.
"Everyone, be ready!" Fortunately, there were still some clear-headed people in the crowd. Percy shouted sternly, then pulled Harry and Ron behind a stone pillar.
The others reacted quickly as well. After all, they had been tempered by long periods in the dungeon, so they were ready for battle after Hog landed.
However, contrary to the expected panic, everyone became incredibly excited upon realizing their opponent was Hog.
"I've wanted to take Hog down a peg for a long time. I didn't expect he'd actually dare to attack us."
"Let's beat this mutt to the ground and show him what we're made of!"
"That's right! He always bullies us. Today, we'll get our revenge!"
The young wizards had long suffered under Hog's oppression. Now, seeing an opportunity to beat him up, their eyes turned red, as if they had been injected with hormones.
"Revenge?" Hog shook his tail after landing, then disdainfully scanned the crowd. "With you lot? If I don't beat you little devils until you can't get out of bed, I'll eat my hat!"
"Body Tempering Art: Steel Bones! Agile Swiftness! Limb Enhancement! Elemental Shell!"
With each Body Tempering Art Hog activated, a surge of magic erupted from him.
And when the Elemental Shell was fully activated, Hog's body surface steamed with bone-chilling cold. In the next instant, he had transformed into a Frost Giant Wolf.
"Merlin's beard, what kind of magic is that?" Ron, in the distance, watched Hog's sudden transformation, so shocked that his mouth hung open.
"This isn't ordinary magic!" Percy stared at him blankly. "Using magic directly with the body, could this be the Body Tempering Art recorded in the Silver Gleam Charm?"
"Never mind what it is!" Harry's expression was extremely anxious. "What do we do now? If Hog defeats us, we'll never be able to hold our heads up in front of him again!"
"At this rate, ordinary spells definitely won't work." Percy shook his head, then shouted, "Everyone, listen up! Forget Professor Wilson's ban. Use advanced Silver Gleam spells. Suppress Hog first!"
"Hmph, suppress me?"
At this moment, Hog's entire body was icy and exuded a pale white chill. His eyes glowed with an eerie blue light, coupled with his mocking expression, making him even more terrifying than the Basilisk before.
After the taunt, Hog, in his Ice Wolf state, charged at the young wizards. Enhanced by the Body Tempering Art, he displayed astonishing speed.
With a flash of white light, Hog appeared behind several Gryffindor wizards. Then, using his hands, feet, and tail, he sent five wizards flying with a large spin, knocking them out on the spot and covering them with a thin layer of frost.
Fortunately, the others reacted quickly. Under Percy's command, they immediately launched a counterattack.
"Incendio!"
"Lava Burst!"
"Fire Sprite!"
"Solar Lasso!"
Intimidated by Hog's Ice Wolf state, everyone wisely chose targeted spells. For a time, various fire-attribute magics were generated from their wands. Streams of fire, lava balls, fireballs, and ropes seemingly made of flames flew towards Hog.
"Very clever, but not enough..." Hog smiled coldly, then stomped his foot on the ground. "Elemental Conversion!"
As the voice fell, the layer of fur on Hog's body, as if dyed by frost, suddenly vaporized. These pale white furs seemed to be doused in gasoline, instantly transforming from ice to flame.
Before long, Hog transformed from a Frost Giant Wolf into a Flame Giant Wolf. In this form, he not only looked murderous, but the fire spells that landed on him dissipated into nothing.
"Holy crap, are you kidding me!" Even Percy, who was usually calm, couldn't help but curse.
Hog didn't even have a wand. Being able to cast spells directly with his body was already outrageous enough, but even more ridiculous was that he could freely switch elemental forms.
"He doesn't have any weaknesses at all. How the hell are we supposed to fight this?" Harry was also speechless, standing rooted to the spot.
"Use combined attacks!" Percy quickly regained his composure. "Forget about Hog's attribute form. Use whatever you have. There must be some spells that can restrain him."
After Percy's reminder, everyone immediately launched a counterattack, but this time they didn't focus on using a single attribute of elemental magic. Instead, they used a mixed bag of everything.
But facing such a rain of attacks, Hog ignored them completely, charging towards the crowd while enduring the spells.
When these speeding spells hit Hog, they were either directly evaporated and melted by the high temperature of his body, or they made a muffled thud when they hit him.
After being enchanted by the Body Tempering Art, the body had great resistance to both direct attack magic and transformation or control magic.
So at this time, Hog was dealing with these little wizards like an adult beating up kindergarten children, simply crushing them.
Almost every charge allowed Hog to take away several students. He was just too fast. Even if many people reacted, they couldn't dodge.
Fortunately, Hog knew his limits. He basically just knocked people unconscious, and even restrained the flames on his body during the attack, preventing them from burning the students.
However, although the battle was one-sided, everyone's fighting will was quite tenacious. It was unknown whether it was because they had been tempered in the dungeon, or because they hated Hog so much.
Faced with the continuous magic attacks, Hog also felt a headache after being hit for a long time. After all, he only had high resistance to magic, not complete immunity.
Not to mention that there were many older wizards among them, whose spell power had exceeded many adult wizards. It didn't matter if Hog was hit a dozen times, but it was still troublesome to be hit too many times.
"Individual charges are too inefficient. Watch Hog give you all a harsh wave!" Hog glanced at the young wizards hiding behind the stone pillars, then smiled coldly.
Then, Hog suddenly stopped in place, while transforming his body back into the Frost Giant Wolf form, and then took a deep breath.
"Body Tempering Art, Magic Release, Frost Breath!"
A gust of wind, wrapped in icy cold, was blown out by Hog. Soon, this chill spread to every corner of the chamber, covering large areas of the ground and walls with frost.
The young wizards hiding behind the cover were shivering from the cold. Their faces, eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair were covered with ice crystals.
Blown by this cold wind, everyone's actions became extremely difficult, let alone counterattacks. At the same time, their expressions towards Hog became more and more ugly. Was this still the husky they knew? Did he have to be so terrifying?
"Cough cough... Damn, it seems like I used a little too much force." Hog, who had used a large-scale breath, coughed non-stop in place as if he had been choked, obviously the move was a bit difficult for him.
But after he recovered, Hog put on a cheap expression, slowly strolling to the remaining young wizards.
"What's wrong? Not crazy anymore? Didn't you just want to get revenge on your Hog?" Hog wagged his tail smugly. "Now I'll give you a chance to admit your mistakes to me, otherwise you'll have a hard time."
"Pah, kill if you want, why so much nonsense?" Ron, who took the lead to speak, was very tough.
However, Percy, Harry, Neville, and the others next to him rolled their eyes at him speechlessly. It sounded nice, as if you were going to die.
To put it bluntly, they were actually just fighting with the school assistant instructor, not really trying to risk their lives.
Even Hog was speechless by Ron's righteous attitude, but the malicious Hog sneered, "It seems you're very tough, in that case, starting tomorrow, your morning training volume will be doubled, no, doubled twice, if you don't complete it, I won't let you into the dungeon, how about that?"
"Hog, from now on you are my brother, even closer than Percy."
Hearing Hog's words, Ron, who was still so righteous just now, immediately softened, not at all like he was about to die.
"Can't you have a little ambition?" Seeing Ron's position so unyielding, Percy glared at him angrily, then glared at Hog seriously.
"Hog, I admit we lost this time, but don't be complacent, you can beat us because you rely on that Body Tempering Art? Wait until we learn the Body Tempering Art and then fight again if you have the ability."
In Percy's eyes, Hog was so brave because he had the special magic of the Body Tempering Art, otherwise how could he be their opponent.
"Ha... I didn't take advantage of you in this battle. Although you don't know the Body Tempering Art I used, you can use wands." Hog grinned. "If I could also cast spells, you would only lose even worse."
"You have to know, Body Tempering Art and Body Tempering Art are also different..." Hog smiled meaningfully, then raised his giant palm, preparing to give them the final blow, knocking them unconscious one by one.
"Damn it, I shouldn't have let the first-year stay outside to keep watch. If Ginny was here, how could Hog be so arrogant!" Facing the wolf claws getting closer and closer to him, Percy's heart was filled with regret.
"Crack! Rumble!"
Just as Hog was about to make a move, a sound suddenly came from the distance. The door to the chamber was opened from the outside!
"Crap!" Hearing the sound, Hog shuddered. "The only people in the school who can open the chamber door are Harry and adults. I can't let him see this scene now, otherwise I definitely won't have a good time!"
After quickly calculating in his mind, Hog immediately stopped moving, while quickly shrinking his body into a pug form that was not much bigger than a palm.
But before he could run away, the stone door of the chamber slowly opened, and then a group of people walked out from behind the door.
The leader was naturally Dumbledore, and next to him stood Hogwarts Headmaster McGonagall, as well as Amelia Bones, the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
"Huh?" The people who entered the chamber were stunned after seeing the scene inside.
Because at this time, in their eyes, the chamber was filled with cold air like a refrigerator, and under the stone statue in the distance lay a Basilisk that was neither dead nor alive, with a pile of wizards lying scattered around, and in front of them were a dozen or so frozen Percy and others, and at their feet, Hog staring with round eyes.
"What... is going on." Amelia looked at Dumbledore in confusion. "Was there a big battle here? Why is the magic concentration so high?"
Before Dumbledore could speak, McGonagall interjected, "Never mind what happened, didn't you refuse to believe in the existence of the Basilisk before? Now you're willing to believe it, right?"
"Believe is believe..." Amelia looked at the huge figure that was knocked to the ground in the distance. "But it's too dangerous for you to let the students deal with the Basilisk themselves."
Then Amelia walked to the little pug, looking down in confusion, "You are... Hog? What happened here, why is it in this state? Was anyone injured?"
"Uh..." Hog heard the words, his eyes rolled around, and then he replied with a smile, "Bones, it's like this, these Gryffindor students decided to go deep into the chamber to subdue the Basilisk after learning that there was a Basilisk in the chamber."
"But the Basilisk's strength is too strong. Although everyone can successfully defeat the Basilisk, they are still greatly disturbed, but don't worry, the students lying there are just unconscious, not even seriously injured."
After saying that, Hog stretched out his short legs and kicked Percy next to him, while desperately winking at him.
If the Ministry of Magic and the school knew they were fighting, no one could escape unscathed. At this time, they had to take care of each other.
"That's right." Percy obviously understood Hog's meaning, took over the conversation and continued, "Just like Hog said, we were worried that the Basilisk would endanger the safety of the school's wizards, so we decided to subdue it as soon as possible!"
"You mean... all of this was done by the Basilisk?" Amelia frowned suspiciously. "Could it be that the Basilisk also has ice-attribute magic? I've never heard of it."
Dumbledore quickly stepped forward to smooth things over, "Bones, now is not the time to dwell on these things. Let Hogwarts handle the matter in the chamber itself. Anyway, there were no casualties."
"The two headmasters called you here for the murder case 50 years ago. You have already heard Myrtle's testimony and seen the Basilisk. You must already have an answer in your heart, right?"
"Yes!" Amelia didn't dwell on the strange scene after hearing the words. "It seems that it was a misjudgment to pin the crime on Hagrid back then. I will personally overturn the case for him next."
