Me, Adventurer! - Undoubled Skills Are Flat Magic

Episode 204: School Opens, School of Adventurers!

I want to compliment myself! No, good luck, me!

With more cloudy skies and humid air, in mid-December, the Dorton Adventurers School managed to climb to school at this time of year when it was time for a rainy season in the region.

Recruiting and interviewing lecturers, sharing basic educational policies and organizing curricula after recruitment. Acquisition of school building candidate land and notification to surrounding residents, tidiness and school building architecture. And guidance on opening schools and recruiting students.

In modern Japan, it would take time on a yearly basis to complete such an array in just two months or so. Even though there has been a push of power, financial power and magic, it is not something that would normally be possible in such a short period of time. Besides, there is no shortage of skinning with Woo and the others for normal officer-in-charge work, street work, and port expansion. Really good work, me! And everybody!

Nevertheless, the opening of full school starts again in January of next year. Because, for one thing, the school building is complete, but the dormitories for the students have not even laid the foundation yet, and there are not enough clerks to run the school. They are going to be enriched sequentially in the coming year. If we prioritize schools any further, we have no choice because other businesses are likely to be significantly delayed.

A one-shot course will be held in the form of a seminar for the time being. Provide courses useful for adventures such as demonology and camp fundamentals and recruit students each time. Tuition fees are collected in splits from the rewards of requests made in the Adventurer's Alliance. It's a nice system for picking up snails. In view of the current state of Dorton, which is overflowing with amateur adventurers, this was the form it took because it required swift action. It is also a sign of the instructors' educational training. Let's get this experience used after school opens.

Despite this close collaboration with Dorton Adventurer School, Adventurer Guild, what a private school it can be. I'm not even a school corporation because this country doesn't have a corporate system. I mean, it's my personal belongings. Dorton Adventurers School, LLC. I'm the president.

Why private school, when I took the story of the establishment of the School of Adventurers to the King, I said, 'That's a Dorton problem, so I don't know what to do in front of the deputy!' Cause they chased me back like that. Damn, what does that king expect from a child? Therefore, I had no choice but to establish it by throwing private property in a body called private cooperation. I've done something.

According to what Kikka and Cristella have looked into, I'm the first person in the history of the kingdom to have a school on my own.

"Master Beat has another name inscribed in the history of the kingdom!

That's what Cristella said. Is this in history, too? Are you like Mr. Bukichi or Mr. Shinsen? Should I leave you some kind of quote? Um, 'Heaven doesn't make people above or below people, but people want to make people beneath themselves'?... This isn't a quote, it's just a confirmation of the facts.

Anyway, although tentatively, the Adventurers School was opened.

And that first day is today. I won't do the opening ceremony or the opening ceremony until the formal opening next year. All of a sudden it's my first course.

"… er, so we will hold a course on demonology. The lecturer will be me, Beat-Face, the thirteen star adventurer. Young man, thank you very much."

I don't know why, I'm the instructor. Really, what do you mean? No, I had no choice.

With a desk and chair for thirty, and a classroom called "How to School Classroom" with a teaching table and blackboard, students with a fragmented age, gender and physique who took their seats get a uniformly puzzled look. I know exactly how that feels.

Instructors were recruited on the condition that they were active or retired intermediate adventurers or more. The pay was pretty exciting, but it didn't bring people together any more than I thought. Apparently, the recruitment period was too short.

Normally, if you are also an intermediate adventurer with five or more stars, you have considerable track record and credibility. Because I can't go up to intermediate unless I'm a solid and reliable worker.

Then the client will also nominate such intermediate adventurers to make the request. Merchants have asked to escort the merchants, pharmacists have asked to collect materials, etc. The better adventurers, the busier they get with more requests.

In other words, few active intermediate or higher adventurers were in the city. All I had applied to be a lecturer was a retired former adventurer due to injuries and family circumstances.

Many former adventurers in the city also seemed to have taken two steps to change jobs, either because they already had a main business, and did not apply so much. Only four. Hired them all. Recruitment is ongoing.

Still, it wasn't enough to run the school at all, so I had no choice but to join me and Cristella as instructors for the moment. All but four of the kids were at least five stars. To me, thirteen of the best Dorton-based active adventurers. Soon there were so many more. The breakdown is six crusades, five procurement and two escorts. I'm biased.

By the way, they say the best in the kingdom's active adventurer is Viscount Dantes-Weisman's sixteen stars. You were still active, Viscount.

That's why it came to me quickly on my first course. The instructors hired should also be holding their own lectures in a different classroom.

Of course, I don't mean it. Because I was going to join you as a student.

No, I don't have anything more to study now, but study isn't the only thing in school life. Playing dumb with friends, talking nagging with friends, making memories with friends... yes, I was going to make friends. I have (...) fewer friends (...) to start with! From 'There's No'! Don't call me a botch!

Well, the truth is, what I really want is a network, not a friend, or a so-called network. When my face asks me about each aspect, things are carried smoothly to do, so I was hoping that I could get to school and develop that connection.

Anyway, this is Dorton, the frontline city on the border. It's no surprise whenever something unforeseen happens. When there was a handout available at that time, I thought it might be safe to hit more hands. I can't hesitate as a deputy.

Schools and seminars are quick to broaden your network. It's easy to get empathy and get along with each other because they have the same purpose. Well, bullying that emits an end to mounting often occurs, but that's the fate of a flock of creatures, so we can't help it. People are creatures who want to make people beneath themselves. I just have to work it out every time.

That's why I was wondering if it would be better to get mixed up as a student, but unfortunately my track record didn't allow me to do that.

Well, this isn't a bad idea. Instead of a narrow, thick network of friends, I get a broad, shallow network of teachers and students. Moreover, the individual's abilities are dignified in the name of assessing grades. Enclose competent talent as soon as possible. From the standpoint of deputies, maybe this was a good idea. The result is O'Rei.

I'd like to give that role to someone and make it easier. You're only a kid, but you work too hard, me.

"This demonology will lecture mainly on the types and ecology of demons that appear in demonic realms around and near Dorton, and how to deal with them. All three sessions are scheduled, but you may attend from any lecture as we will do so more than once. Today we will mainly take demons that will appear near the city. First of all, this is him."

When I said that, "Maddie Slime the Borderline Specialty" appeared on the church table. Students in the classroom sag together at the demons that suddenly appear.

Of course it's not real. It's something I created with planar magic. One of the particle features is the ability to express viscous particles called meta-particles. It's often used when expressing flowing liquids, but this is also how we can describe gel-shaped objects.

"This is not real, so it's safe. Even the real thing isn't dangerous, though. Maddie Slime is a cleaner on the border, mainly featuring animal carcasses, excrement, and fallen leaves. You see it all the time in town. It's harmless to humans and animals, and it doesn't strike people first. However, some of the subspecies that live in special environments are said to strike. Don't be alarmed."

Try to move the sea urchin and the slime on the table. Are the students listening or not watching the slime?

"You probably won't get a crusade request for this demon, but if you needed to defeat it, you can defeat this part, this round nucleus, right away with something like a spear. It's basically a benefit beast, so don't kill it for your interest."

When you stick your finger in and poke the nucleus part, the viscosity is lost from the meta-particle and the slime collapses. An exclamation rises from some of the students who saw it. I guess it looked real. Again, moving classes seem easy to attract interest. Well, then, the next one's the green one.

"Next up is the woman's natural enemy, the goblin, right? This guy is not so much of a stand-alone threat, but he is often poisoning his weapons, so be careful not to inadvertently eat the attack. The main attack is a spike by a poisoned spear, but because of its small stature..."

In that way, he proceeded with the course as he reproduced planar magic of the demons appearing around Dorton. As far as the students were concerned, they seemed generally well received. After the end, I was surrounded by young adventurers with sparkling eyes and enough to be question-attacked. It was mostly a question about magic, not about demons.

Other courses have generally been completed without problems. We all held debriefings and reflections before being dissolved. Since we haven't been able to interact with students enough to be identified yet, talent mining is a challenge for the future. Want to work out a plan for a bit?

Finish your full day and walk through the Dolton dusk of December. It's almost the end of the year, the winter solstice of this world. The sun is setting faster and faster every day.

I can't believe it's the end of the year or this year was early, but I'll go back and walk to the mansion where everyone who's supposed to be doing the housework for dinner is supposed to wait.

... the end of the year? I think something serious happened at the end of the year. What was that?

The taxes should be debited from the Adventurer Guild account, as well as handling reports and settlements from Bordersetz and John's villages. I also instructed everyone to prepare for the New Year's Eve, and Samantha is making me a costume for the New Year's Eve greeting. I also have a bonus to give to everyone. But it's like I'm forgetting something... huh?

I can't seem to remember, I head to the mansion with all those horrible thoughts. Eventually I saw the mansion, and when I saw a person in front of that front door who was arm-wrapped and Jen-royal, I remembered what I had forgotten.

"You're finally home! Welcome back, Beat! Nice to meet you today!

That was my sister Jasmine back from school. The cannon daughter came to us.
