"I thought you said you were a lucky cat!" I whispered to Jade, all the while trailing behind the lady. She was humming to herself, any zombies that happened to wander near us she slew. We'd yet to see anyone else along our travels.

However, the atmosphere was getting heavier it felt like we were heading deep into the creepy hospital. I'd seen more and more hospital door that had bloodied handprints and beeping machines.

The smell of chemicals had also gotten stronger, it was starting to smell like a real hospital.

"I am lucky, that woman is just dangerous. But she might lead to some good rewards." Jade huffed, he still hides in my hair. I didn't know if the lady knew he was there and was just playing it off or it didn't matter to her in the least. "However, I can't sense any trails to fortune, so you better be careful."

"That doesn't make me feel better!" I snapped quietly at him. In response, he tucked himself further into my neck and hair covering his tiny jade body.

We'd been walking for about ten minutes. My body was screaming at me to turn around and run from this lady. Something was off, but I didn't think I'd manage to escape. Steadying myself, I just keep observing her.

A loud scream broke my concentration. Turning to the left, I raise my spear. However, there isn't a zombie. There is actually a woman in the corner of a room. The door to the room had been long torn off. Blood and other residue covered the room that she was in.

Her hair was long and wild, she was dressed in your standard hospital gown. It was torn slightly, exposing her breast and back. There were jagged cuts all along her back. She was looking dead at the lady, her hands were covered in blood as she pointed.

"Monster, run run run run!" She muttered and waved her arms wildly at the lady. Her one eye was bloodshot, while the other eye socket was empty. Dried blood was crushed around the opening.

"Run run run run run!" She bellowed again, this time she scrambled to her feet and started to move towards me. I held my spear out trying to block her off. But she didn't seem to notice, she ran right into the spear.

The spear easily slides into her flesh, I quickly try to pull it out of her body. But she keeps pushing forward. Her arms were reaching out towards me.

"Run run run run!" She wailed at me, her one eye was locked onto mine. She keeps running forward, she opens her mouth to speak again. But a blade comes flying at her, cutting off her head.

Blood splashes me in the face, as her head topples from her body. The pressure of embedding her body onto the spear disappears and she easily slides backward off of my spear. My stomach protest at the sight, but I keep myself from puking.

The last expression on her face was one of desperation. Casting a glance towards the lady, I stumble backward at her expression. The calm face was replaced with a bloodthirsty expression etched into it.

She walked forward, reaching down to retrieve the knife that she'd just thrown and used to kill the woman. It was coated in her blood, but the lady didn't seem to notice, seemingly enraged she kicks the woman's head. It hit the wall and rolled away a bit.

Although that didn't seem to satisfy the lady, she reached down and stabbed the body of the woman. Dragging the blade through the dead woman's flesh, ecstasy was etched into her face and blood began to splatter onto her body and face.

What the hell was wrong with her?

Shuffling backward, I start to retreat. This was my chance! We had just passed a cross-section, if I could make it back that way then I might be able to escape. There was something very wrong with the lady, my heart was beating out of my chest at this point.

I started to turn, ready to run when a voice made me stop dead in my tracks.

"Where do you think you're going?" The lady's voice sounded behind me.

I turn my head to look behind me, her eyes are void of emotion. An unsettling feeling had settled into the air. The knife in her hand had stilled, it was hanging over the dead woman's chest. Her body had become mangled under the cruel hands of the lady.

"You can't leave! We're almost there you wanted to go to the town right?!" The women spoke with an insane growl.

"Not yet! We're almost there, it's just right down the hall!" She continued to speak, she stood up from the mutilated body of the woman the whole stomach and chest area had been carved out. Blood dripped off the knife and the face of the lady, her eyes were wide and looked deranged.

I refused to let her get near me, spinning on my heels I swing the spear in my hand forwards. She was slightly shocked by my movement. Thrusting the spear forward towards her, I wasn't fast enough to hit her dead in the chest. She managed to dodge and I only caught her in the arm, with the spear.

However, there wasn't much resistance in the least when I hit her in the arm. The arm actually came away. Sucking in a sharp breath, I move the spear back and look at the lady. Her arm was on the edge of my spear. In the blink of an eye, she was next to me, her hand surged forward plunging the knife towards my arm.

I tried to evade her reach, but the knife was true and slide into my arm.

A scream rippled out from my mouth as she pressed forward driving the knife deep into my arm. Pain laced up through my arm, tears ran down my face. Bitting my lip, I turn and glare at her. She's got a deranged smile on her face, her tongue flicking out.

"Get off me, you bitch!" I scream dropping the spear in my right arm, I throw a punch towards her face. My arm connects with her nose, I hear a crack as she flung off my arm and towards the floor.

Thud.

Her body slides into the body of the woman, she's still missing the arm that I took off but she doesn't seem fazed at all.

Gritting my teeth, I grab the knife and rip it out of my arm.

"Ugh." Throwing the knife down I turn to scope the spear up and turning running back towards the way that we'd just come. This time I dodge the debris that left scattered on the floor. Blood running down my left arm.

It hurts damn it really hurt. Turning my head I look back towards the lady, she's just picking herself off the ground. Her nose was broken, but she just grabs it with her hand that still there and breaks it back into place. A dark smile on her face.

"Shit!" I growl, jumping over a broken hospital cart.

I could see the four-way split coming up, urging my body forward, I jump towards the left entrance. That area is dimly lite, but I don't let it bother me. Taking off down the stretch of hallway, I move quickly, even climbing under a collapsed section of the hallway.

I ran for the only god knows how long, my lungs were burning from exhaustion.

"I think you lost her!" Jade spoke slowly, as I tripped over a large piece of rubble.

Pulling myself up from the ground, I keep going forward. I felt fear, I hadn't felt this much fear since the moment I'd arrived in this strange place. It was too strange, her arm had come off. But she hadn't even flinched at that. It was like she hadn't even felt it.

After running for a couple more minutes, I found a room that was empty. I slide into the room and take a couple deep breath, sweating was pouring down off of my face.

Sliding down a wall, I try to collect my thoughts. She wasn't human, that meant she wasn't a Player in the game. How had she known about the fact that I was looking for a town?

No. I shake my head, I didn't have time to dwell on the what if's of the situation. All I knew was that she was probably still looking for me. I don't know why she tries to take me to wherever. But I did know that she would take me by force if she had to or even kill me.

Twisting around I look at my arm, torrents of blood still pouring out of my wound. Grunting I pull myself up off the ground. This was a hospital there had to be something to clean this up with around me.
