Chapter 35: The End of the First Vicious Tide

After the first Vicious Tide ended, all the novice Island Masters had a few hours of rest.

While the other novice Island Masters were resting, Sidel was calculating the losses on his island.

“Irene, how many of our defense mechanisms have suffered losses?”

Sidel spoke to the Fog Banshee Irene, who was beside him.

“Master, our Vine Willow Forest has been greatly damaged.”

“Perhaps it’s because of the attacks from the last Vicious Tide.”

“Well, how many bows and arrows do we have left, and how many Explosive Fruits do we have left?” Sidel asked after hearing Irene’s report.

After hearing Sidel’s question, Irene immediately went to count their supplies.

Very quickly, Irene returned to Sidel’s side.

Then, she said respectfully, “Master, we still have many bows and arrows, but we only have 100 Explosive Fruits left.”

Sidel wasn’t surprised after hearing Irene’s words.

He knew that the first Vicious Tide consumed the most resources, while the second and third Vicious Tides were individual battles. Thus, these resources would be of little use then.

Therefore, he was not very worried.

It was because he still had five Elemental Sprites. As a result, wanting to safely survive the remaining two Vicious Tides was simply an extremely simple matter.

After learning about this, Sidel returned to the treehouse.

However, before they got back to the treehouse, Sidel told Irene to go wake him up when the second Vicious Tide occurred.

Irene acknowledged Sidel’s order after hearing this.

Seeing that Irene had received his orders, Sidel returned to the treehouse.

Just as Sidel entered the treehouse, an extremely powerful aura quietly appeared several thousand nautical miles away from his island.

The moment this aura appeared, some of the Level 1 and 2 beasts beside it were crushed into pieces. They did not even know what happened.

Meanwhile, the other Level 3 and 4 beasts were trembling and curled up at the side.

They looked in awe at the place where the aura had appeared.

They didn’t even dare to look at it directly. They could only secretly observe it from the corner of their eyes.

Soon, it was afternoon.

As Sidel’s island was very far away from the second Vicious Tide, he was the only one who was not attacked for the time being.

The other Island Masters were all on high alert.

On Alwyn’s island…

There were only ten of the original hundred mercenary teams left.

However, a dozen people soon walked out from the center of the island.

They were the group of ability users that Alvin had been providing for.

However, the Level 5 beast they would encounter today was no ordinary beast.

It had the ability to conceal itself, which forced the team of ability users to search for it.

However, after searching for a long time, they still couldn’t find the exact location of this Level 5 beast.

They were helpless and could only request one of the ability users to execute an aura investigation.

Soon, this ability user sensed an unusual magical wave.

However, before he could sense it properly, the magical wave counterattacked.

“Pfft!”

With just this, the perceptive ability user suffered a backlash and spat out a large mouthful of blood.

As for the Level 5 beast…

The Level 5 beast had evolved from a ghoul. It had stayed in this place for nearly a hundred years, and it had taken him an entire century to evolve to its current level.

In the past, it had fed on corpses, but after evolving into a Level 5 beast, it was no longer satisfied with the small amount of vitality stored within the corpses.

Therefore, it found a method, which was to absorb the vitality of the living to strengthen his body.

However, last night, a character that made him tremble arrived at this sea.

That person only waved his sleeves slightly and did not even chant an incantation before trapping it in his lair.

Originally, the beast thought it was going to die. However, this morning, he felt that the shackles on him had disappeared, and his strength had increased a little.

Although it was a little angry, there was nothing it could do, because it couldn’t win.

Coincidentally, the members of the ability user team came to investigate this situation.

Therefore, the ghoul took out the person who dared to spy on him.

“Toby, are you alright?” When Roosevelt saw Toby cough up a mouthful of blood, he quickly helped Toby up.

“I’m fine, Captain!” Toby waved at Roosevelt and replied to him.

“I underestimated the Level 5 beast! As expected… to me, an existence like this is… currently hard to deal with.” Toby wiped the blood off his lips with his sleeve and spoke in a weak voice, “Captain, I think I can lock onto his location. The rest is up to you guys.”

With that, Toby pointed at a nearby forest and stuttered, “It’s… it’s there. There should only be an error of at most 20 meters.”

With that, Toby simply fainted.

Looking at Toby who had fallen into his arms, Jim waved at the mercenary team behind him and signaled them to take Toby away.

Soon, the mercenary team behind Jim arrived.

Jim carefully handed Toby over to the mercenary team that had come up to him.

Then, he watched them leave.

After Toby left, Jim walked towards everyone, raised his sword, and shouted, “Brothers, it’s time to fight! Follow me!”

With that, Jim led the way to the direction Toby had shown him before he passed out.

Very quickly…

Jim led all the members of the ability user team to the place Toby pointed to.

After arriving at this place, all the ability users began a blanket search without waiting for Jim’s command.

However, it was a pity that even after searching all the surrounding areas, they still did not find the Level 5 beast.

“Reporting to Captain, no findings here!”

“Reporting to Captain, no findings here!”

“Reporting to Captain, no findings here!”

“Reporting to Captain, I didn’t find anything either!”

“Captain, I don’t have any findings here either!”

Upon hearing the reports from the team members, Jim squatted on the ground and fell into deep thought.

“How is that possible?”

“There should be something here!”

Jim squatted on the ground and kept asking himself.

As he was thinking, Jim turned his head to the side, but after looking around, he didn’t find anything.

Suddenly, he turned back to look at the place he had just seen.

Then, he looked at the willow tree beside him without blinking.
