Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

Jackson made sure that the doctors attended to the unconscious Jasmine immediately. While the doctors were attending to the sick Jasmine, others in the hotel got worried when they couldn't find the three of them on the hotel premises. They got even more anxious when none of them answered their calls. It was after about thirty minutes that Jane informed them that Jasmine was rushed to the hospital.

Everyone rushed downstairs when they heard what really happened. None of them cared to change their current clothes. They just left for the hospital hastily.

"Who dared to commit such wickedness towards my best friend. I hope she is ok," Catherine asked when their car stopped in front of the hospital.

"With JK around, she will be fine. I am certain of that," Jeff assured as they both got out of the car.

"Her allergy to strawberries is very serious so I hope she is ok like you said," Catherine said, walking into the hospital with Jeff following her closely.

After being directed to the room Jasmine was hospitalised in, they both tried to locate it.

When they entered the room, they saw Jackson sitting on a seat close to Jasmine's bed. Elizabeth on the other hand was sitting on the couch staring at him.

"How is she?" Catherine asked as they both approach her bed. Catherine sat on the bed and place Jasmine's left hand in her hands.

"It has been over thirty minutes since the doctors attended to her but she hasn't shown any signs of waking up," Jackson said in a sad tone while staring at Jasmine's pale face.

"The attack was very severe that is why she hasn't woken up. The doctor said she wouldn't have made it if we had come some minutes late," Elizabeth said unhappily.

"Jasmine has always been very careful with her diet so who dared to trick her into taking a drink that contains strawberry extract? Who hates her to the point that he wants her dead?" Catherine asked as she took turns in staring at their faces.

"We don't know what happen but I assure you, I am gonna kill the person who dared to put her in so much pain. I will make sure he or she dies painfully for what they did," Jackson said with gritted teeth.

"JK, Jasmine is a strong woman so I am sure she will be fine," Jeff said as he placed his right hand on Jackson's shoulders.

The others arrived a few minutes later but only to be asked by the doctor in charge to leave the room because it was too crowded.

The doctor said only two people were allowed to stay in the room. Jackson would not agree to leave Jasmine's side so one other person had to stay with him and Catherine insisted on staying in the room too. The others had no choice but to leave Jasmine in their care.

About three hours later, Jasmine's closed eyelid began to flutter but Jackson could not see it since he had rested his head on the bed. It was when her fingers began to move that he raised his head to see whether she had woken up. At this same moment, Jasmine slowly opened her eyes.

"Jasmine, you are awake," Jackson said with smiles on his face. His shout of excitement made Catherine hurry to his side. The first thing Jasmine's eyes landed on waking up was Jackson's smiling face.

Why is he so happy that I am awake and did he stay at my bedside all this while.

Jasmine thought her weak eyes centred on his face.

"For how long have I being asleep?" Jasmine asked weakly as she tried to sit up. Jackson quickly assisted her before Catherine could do it.

"You have been asleep for over three hours," Catherine remarked as she stare at Jackson who was acting like he was Jackson's husband.

What is he doing? I thought he planned on keeping his feelings a secret from her? Doesn't he know that Jasmine will find his behaviour suspicious if he continues acting this way?

Catherine thought as she shifted his gaze to Jasmine.

"Jasmine, let me inform the others that you are awake. They have been very worried about you," Catherine said before she exited the hospital room.

"Why are you acting so caring and gentle now, I thought you never wanted to see me? Are you staring at me with that expression because you feel guilty?" Jasmine asked with pouting lips.

"Not because I feel guilty but because I love you. And I did not avoid you out of anger but because I had planned a surprise to confess my feelings to you. I have wanted to do this for a long time, I kept hesitating because I was afraid of how you will react," Jackson said his gaze focused on her face. He had expected to see a surprised expression on her face but alas his guess was wrong.

"Why don't you look surprised....,"

"Because I had already guessed that you had feelings for me when I saw the picture of the two of us as your phone wallpaper. We had barely taken that picture a few hours ago and you used it as your wallpaper, I would be the stupidest person on earth if I couldn't guess what was going through your mind," Jasmine said in a calm tone.

"Despite being aware of your feelings I still can't believe that you fell in love with me so quickly. You are the almighty Ice Prince who doesn't get seduced. You even said that you were in love with someone else, so how fast your love transfers. I still find it hard to believe," Jasmine said as she continued staring at him.

"It has always been you that I was in love with all along, there had never been anyone else. I loved you longer than you think, I barely concealed my feelings. I am telling you this so there won't be any secrets between us," Jackson said meekly.

"Does that mean you loved me before we signed the contract?" Jasmine asked as she waited for his reply. Her expression showed that the way she would react relies on his reply.
