Chapter 28 - - Ep 27: Feelings Are Fatal

Crimson's POV

Once I got home to my apartment, I just sorta plopped down on my bed. I don't feel like doing anything anymore today. I just wanna lie down and not be alive for eight hours.

Just when I thought of that, I could feel my phone vibrate. I checked it and saw a text from Rogue.

"Can I come over?" She asked.

"I don't think so." I replied.

As soon as I put my phone down, it vibrated again.

"What's wrong? You suddenly went home earlier without me. I wanted to check if you were okay."

"I'm fine. I just don't feel well."

"Can I still come over? I really wanna see you..."

"I told you I don't feel well."

"Then let me take care of you."

I turned my phone off and placed it on the desk beside my bed, then I closed my eyes to rest. I didn't notice, but I guess I fell asleep, because the next thing I knew, I woke up and I could hear someone knocking on my door.

I got up to open it and saw Rogue with a bag of food and medicine. "How are you?" She asked.

"I told you not to come." I replied.

She tilted her head down and rested it on my ċhėst. "I was just worried about you. You left without saying a word, and now you won't even see me. Did I do something wrong?" She asked.

I placed my hand on her head and started to stroke her hair. It was soft, and I already felt calm from just touching it. "I'm sorry. You didn't do anything wrong. I just have a bit going on right now and I needed some time to think."

She tugged on my shirt from the back. "Can you tell me why?" She asked. My heart was beating fast from the situation. I hope it wasn't too obvious.

"I-Just... Let's talk inside. You must be tired." I replied as I gestured her to come inside.

We went to my room and she sat down on my bed. My room was honestly a big mess, But I don't think she minded. She hasn't said anything else after we went in.

I went to the kitchen to prepare some drinks and food for the both of us, then I returned to the room. I grabbed a chair by my desk and sat down in front of her. She wouldn't look me in the eyes, instead she just kept looking around.

"Do you feel better?" I asked as I tried to place my hand on her head.

She moved away and took one of the drinks. "Yeah." She replied, still refusing to look at me. "Are you gonna tell me what's wrong?" She asked as she took a sip.

"R-right..." I replied as I backed away.

I explained everything that happened. How every member of the band pulled me away and talked to me, and about what Ivory wanted to do. I explained how I felt, and how I thought our relationship would not only affect the band, but my friendship with Ivory as well. While I was explaining, she looked like she was about to cry. She must've thought I wanted to break up with her... But she wasn't wrong. I don't know what I should do. If I break up with her, then she'll get hurt, but if I don't, then Ivory will get hurt. I explained how confused I was on what to do. I started to break down in the middle of explaining because of the stress that I've felt trying to think. Normally, Ivory would be the one I'd talk to about anything that stressed me out, but because of the situation, it was impossible. When I finished, we both just sat in silence. She couldn't say anything, and I had nothing more to say, but she pulled on my arm and gestured me to sit beside her. I did, and she rested her head on my shoulder. I don't know what spell she casted in me, but my stress slowly started to fade away. We fell asleep a bit after. I guess I didn't really notice how tired I was.

When I opened my eyes, it was already the following day. Rogue was still in my arms, sleeping so peacefully. She's beautiful. I don't wanna lose her. I love her so much it hurts.

She slowly opened her eyes. "Good morning." She said as she gave me a light kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" I asked.

"Yeah." She replied as I stood up to stretch. "Hey, Crimson." She called me.

I looked at her and asked. "What is it?"

"I love you." She said suddenly. It honestly took me by surprise, but I knew what I needed to say. I knew what I wanted to say.

I moved closer to her and pressed my forehead down on hers. "I love you too." I replied.

Again, Black paused the game and looked at me. His eyes were tearing up, looking like he was about to cry. "The two of you sound like you really loved each other." He commented.

"Yeah... We did..." I replied.

"So, what went wrong?"

I looked at him and smiled." That day was also the day of our performance. The day that Ivory was gonna confess to Rogue."

I cooked up some bacon and eggs for us as she headed to the bathroom to take a shower. She must've already planned to stay the night since she had clothes in the bag she had last night. I'm really glad she came over. I have no idea what I would've done if she weren't here, but I do wish I could tell Ivory. It just doesn't feel right keeping secrets from him. Especially since we've been through so much together.

I heard the door to the bathroom close. "Crimson, I'm done!" She exclaimed.

"I'll take a bath in a few. Just finishing breakfast." I replied.

I could hear footsteps walking towards me, then I suddenly felt Rogue's body pressing against my back as she wrapped her arms around me. She slowly lifted up my shirt and put her hand inside, touching my ċhėst.

"Woah, what are you doing??" I asked very nervously.

Her hand suddenly moved lower. "Can't I do this?" She replied.

"You know it's still too early, right?" I asked as I grabbed her wrist.

"Fine." She replied, pulling her hand away and sitting down.

"Here you go. Be sure to eat all of it." I said as I placed the bacon and eggs on a plate. "I'm gonna take a bath now." I added as I took my shirt off and grabbed my towel from the chair.

"This is okay too." She commented.

I walked towards her, placing my hands on the table and positioning my face right in front of hers. "Take a pic then. It'll last longer." I replied.

"Your confidence is cute." She said as she stuffed a fork full of eggs in my mouth. "You're a great cook too. Now go on, take a bath or we're gonna be late for practice."

"Alright, alright." I replied.

We finished getting ready and headed to practice. Tonight's the night of our performance, so we have to work extra hard, but something's been bugging me all morning. Ivory's confession... I have no idea what he's got planned in his head, nor do I know when he plans to do it. Before the performance? After? Maybe even while it's still going on?

"Crimson!" Rogue exclaimed as she clapped in front of me. "We're here. Are you okay? You seem out of it."

"Y-yeah. It's nothing to worry about." I replied as we stepped out of the train and walked to the music studio we practice in.

"Are you worried about Ivory?" She asked, locking our arms together. "Come on. You can tell me. I'm your girlfriend, aren't I?"

"I guess I'm a little worried. I don't know what's gonna happen. How would you even respond?"

"I have a plan. Don't worry about it, but it might involve someone getting hurt..."

"Someone getting hurt, huh? I don't really care anymore. At least you know what to do, so I'm trusting you on this."

"Of course!"

"Rogue! Crimson!" A voice from behind us called our names. We looked behind and saw Teal running towards us. "Glad I caught up to you." He said while catching his breath. "And woah, you two are looking romantic this morning."

"Oh, right." I said as I pulled on my arm, making Rogue let go. "Ivory might see us."

She pouted. "Anyway, what is it, Teal?" Rogue asked.

"Oh yeah. Can you go on? I wanna talk to Crimson for a bit. It's about the songs we're gonna perform tonight." He asked.

"Oh, it's alright. See you guys inside." She replied as she walked away.

"So what about the songs?" I asked.

"Crimson, I lied. I needed to talk to you about Rogue." Teal replied.

"She already has a plan for Ivory's confession, so I don't think there's anything to worry about."

"That's exactly what I'm worried about..." He looked at me rather seriously. "Crimson, Rogue and I aren't friends, but I've heard about her in our school..."

"W-what??"

"Look, Rogue is not who she's making out to be. She's..."

"She's what??"

"She's... Notorious in our school for..."

"For what?"

"This might sound a bit weird, especially since she seems sweet to you guys, but she's notorious for messing up relationships."

"Huh? What do you mean?"

He sat down on a bench, then gestured me to sit down too. "It's exactly what it's supposed to mean. She breaks up relationships, but not only that... Even friendships."

I scratched the back of my head. "Then why'd you invite her to our band??"

"We were desperate. We needed a second vocalist, and she just so happened to see me asking people. It was a mistake, and I should've realized it sooner." He said as he covered his face with his hands. "She told me not to worry because she changed, but I can't help it. I still feel like something's off..."

I put my hand on his back. "Teal, why are you telling me this?" I asked.

He took his hands off his face and looked at me, looking very pained. "I'm worried about you and Ivory. I'm scared she might do something, especially since she knows about Ivory's confession later..."

"But she said she changed, right? What's there to worry about? She might be different now."

"But she also might still be the same." He took a deep breath. "Just, please... If anything happens tonight, don't tell me I didn't warn you. Now let's go to practice. Everyone's waiting for us." He said as he stood up and then gestured me to follow him.

Though I don't really believe what Teal said, I don't think he can lie about it. His face when he was telling me looked... Really conflicted. He didn't look like he was lying, but if he was telling the truth, then is Rogue planning something? It can't be, right? Rogue's a sweet girl. She wouldn't do anything to hurt the band, right?

"I was naive back then. I trusted too easily, and now look where it got me. I'm still an outcast, and I still have anger in my heart."

"But, you aren't an outcast." Black replied. "I'm your friend, aren't I? Why else would you be in my house telling me this? Lilac is also your friend now, so I don't think you're an outcast. People just haven't gotten the chance to get to know you better. If they did, then I'm sure you'd have lots of friends."

I inched closer to him and leaned on his shoulder. "Thanks." I told him. "Are you sure you can still listen?"

"Of course. You can let all your emotions out here. I don't judge."

"Alright then..."
