Chapter 2259: Might Of Lightning Lion Legion II

Thunderous sounds begin to ring out as the heavy steps of ten thousand emperors fall on the ground as they move across the snow.

The light snowfall had turned heavy within a few minutes that normal people would find difficult to see what was in front of them, but to these Emperors, this was not a problem at all; they could see just fine.

The army is tearing through the snowfall and moving toward the Grimm fortress with great discipline; we will reach the fortress within an hour.

If we wanted to, we could have covered the distance within a few minutes, but we do not want that. I want to create the effect on the psyche of the Grimms; it is due to this reason I made the emperors walk their ceremonial walk instead of flying.

"I have been here for more than a month and saw them fight tens of battles, but I have never seen them in such high spirits," Rhine commented.

"It is not the fortune of every legion to be commanded by the one of a most talented person in the world," said Wynona camphor said before I could even utter the words.

"They have the confidence that I am not feeling myself," I said after some time. While I am confident in my strength, there are many Grandmasters that could beat me.

I am taking this risk based on the data I have. If there is a powerful Grandmaster, I would have to retreat, leaving all of them to die; even I might die if I did not retreat on time or the enemy is too powerful.

When I think these thoughts, then attacking seemed a foolish choice, but I still think this foolish choice is much better than waiting and watching.

All the past intelligence indicates there has been no movement from the Grimms in the past six days. It may be a strategy to rattle us, or they may be cooking something; in both of these scenarios, waiting seemed foolish.

I shook my head of those thoughts and focused ahead. Through the eyes of Nero, I could see the army of Grimms are gathering, and the legion of there is same a lightning lion legion, a special legion made of Emperors but they have a three times more number than us.

Our enemy is devil thorn legion of the Grimms, who has the strength of thirty thousand Emperor. The sheer number of Emperor stage powerhouses they have are immense; those who have fought them before would faint at the thought of fighting them.

An hour passed by, and heavy snowfall had turned into the blizzard, and we had finally reached the three-mile distance from the Grimms.

The army of Grimms and blizzard behind them is clear in front of our eyes, and even a raging blizzard is not enough to douse our intentions to smite them into the ashes.

CHARGE!

A loud, deep voice range out from the Grimms side, clearly belonging to the Grimm Grandmaster.

With its command, the huge Grimms moved, and as they moved, faint black-thorns began to appear on the bodies of every Grimm Monster. These thorns are extremely dangerous; without protection, they would kill an Emperor with the slightest touch.

CHARGE!

I ordered, bringing deepness with a heavy dose of rule-bending power covered with a powerful burst of soul energy to burn the fighting fire in their heart brighter.

The masters looked surprised, even tyrants, as what I did was very hard even for a Grandmasters. With a simple voice, I have manipulated the emotions of ten thousand Emperors, which is a feat that even I couldn't help but feel proud of.

With my command, the army moved, the violet lightning covered the ten thousand emperors, and they charged forward with blazing battle spirit in their hearts.

The sound of lightning could be heard with every step they took as the lightning covering them burned the air itself.

Crackle Crackle Crackle

Soon there were only a hundred meters between the two armies, and the energies of the legion clashed.

The black-thorns of devil-thorn legion clashed against the violet lightning of lightning lion legion, and a surprising thing had happened.

For the first time, the lightning did not get pushed back as it always did. The huge clouds of violet lightning clashed against the jungle of thorns, matching in equal intensity despite having the third of numbers of Grimm Monsters.

As I had said, both are the special legions, and they are special not only because of all of them being Emperors but also because of the special artifacts they are wearing.

These artifacts are known as army artifacts; they came in all forms, like thorn lockets that Grimms are wearing or the violet rings that humans have in their fingers.

These army artifacts harness the power of their battle spirit. The greater the battle spirit is, the more power these artifacts would be able to harness, and technically, they could produce the to rival even a Grandmaster.

They are far from reaching that stage.

The power their collective battle spirit is able to harness is equal to an Elite Tyrant, which is a lot; most of the special legions made of Emperors were only able to harness the power of common Tyrant.

Both of the legions stopped for a few seconds as the energies clashed, and when they saw no result, the Tyrants moved with Emperors following behind them.

CLANG!

Ida tore through the clashing energies and clashed with Golden Rock Bearman leading Grimm army, and just as her tiny sword clashed against its giant gold ax, shock appeared on their faces and all those watching.

As their weapons clashed, Ida sent huge Golden Rock Bearman back uncontrollably. It had shocked the Bearman immensely that it had not recovered for a moment, but the shock had also appeared in the eyes of Ida as she could not believe what she had just done.

Unlike Danielle and Leonard, Ida had been in Pyramid for the past two weeks, and I had been experimenting on her continuously, strengthening her bloodline with numerous boosts while also training her myself and seeing her wielding this power; a proud smile couldn't help but appear on my face.
