Chapter 2308: Making Wine III

"It seemed like I won't be on the missions for quite a while," I said to myself as I walked out of the Lord Whitmores office.

The aura of abyssal source has made things very complicated; the Pyramid had called off all the most talented people of my generation. Anyone who is below thirty-five years old and is very closed to Grandmaster class or is at Grandmaster Class has been called back.

Their places have been replaced with the experienced fighters; the Pyramid is a little fearful that Grimms would launch an all-out assassination.

They would not keep us here forever, especially people like me. The Pyramid did not have enough people to function without for a long period of time; not to mention it would be detrimental to our growth.

I am sure they will give me a mission within ten days; till then, I was asked to focus on finding a method to heal the people in the hall of sleep and create as much as essence roses and other stuff I could.

Grandmistress Charline had contacted me not long ago; she sent me the data of two new people that had got admitted to the hall of roses in the past month.

One of them is quite easy to heal with my current power and skills, and right now, I am going to the hall of sleep to heal him. As for the other, I would need to work a little to devise a method of healing; I will be able to do that in a day or two.

I will be healing the patient, and after that, I have a meeting with the teacher for her session. I had to see what process she had made and make a few changes in her session, and for it, I couldn't help but feel strange excitement.

The naked figure of the teacher also could help but appear in my mind at that thought. I had thought the memory of her figure would fade in my mind when I left, but it did not happen. Instead, it became worse as I began to have dreams about it.

I again unsuccessfully attempted to make the image disappear from my mind as I entered the formation, and like all times, it remained.

….

Five days had passed since I came to Pyramid, and since then, I have been continuously working. Even during the few hours I spent with my family daily, I would have my avatar working in my core.

Just a few minutes ago, I had sent away all my mentees back, all of whom, by the way, made incredible progress. It won't take long before Ida finally breakthrough into the Master class, and I will begin my ambitious project with Leonard.

Now, I am standing in my precious little artifact, watching the huge steel tank that contains the red liquid.

There was barely any shade of red in this mixture when I had filled it, but now with the fermentation, it had turned completely red.

Clib!

I flew to the top of the huge steel tank and opened the latch, just as I did. The complex aroma of wine filled my nose, it was so wonderful that I wanted to take a gulp out of it, but I did not.

While it could be called wine and will provide me considerable benefits but it is not ready yet; there is still a process I have to finish before I can consume this wonderful wine.

I flew down to the base of the tank and took out a cloth plate that had a dense formation carved on it. The next step is clarification and, in simple terms, filtration. With this plate, I will filter solids out of the wine.

This process is delicate; the filter needs to be careful lest it filters away the soul of the wine. That would make the wine completely useless.

I placed the cloth filter and opened the huge tap, and connected the wooden barrel to it.

The clarification and storing process will be done together with these perfect barrels made of nantasi wood. My wine will age perfectly without any problem.

The nantassi wood is quite precious, but I had gotten them free from a Grandmaster in exchange for a small favor that I had done to him within a few minutes.

These barrels are perfect for aging this wine, and the formations I have carved over them, would enhance their abilities even further and help in maturing the wine without creating any defect.

The filtration process begins, and with it barreling; within a few minutes, the first barrel is filled, and I placed the second barrel in the tap before adding the third one a few minutes later and the fourth one after that.

Finally, the last drop of wine entered the fifth barrel, filling it half.

Four and a half barrels are filled with the wine, which is equal to twelve hundred to thirteen hundred bottles of wine which is an absolutely huge number. I would do more than enough for myself and my friends and family, still, be left with more if I want to sell them.

These wines will sell, and their price would not be cheap if I were to sell them, seeing the precious resources I used in crafting.

Crafting this wine is not difficult; what is difficult is getting the resources. Some of the resources I used in the crafting of the wine, like the main ingredient, the aralas grapes, are notoriously hard to get.

I will now have to store this wine for at least a year to age, where many magical and alchemical changes would occur in it.

The year is a quite long time, but in my core, it will be only four months. I have to bear it, and four months later, I will take out some wine in the barrels while letting the wine other barrels age.

This wine is best to age; the more I age it, the greater benefits I will get from it.
