Chapter 2380: Battlefield 138

Thirty-one hours have passed since I have come to the central command, and since then, I have been here.

Assistants changed their shifts; even council members changed every few hours.

Though there were always six councilmembers present in the central command to make the decision, the projection of Lord of Glass is unmoving as always, making me think his projection is fake and he is not present here.

"All of you, your shift is over; return after four hours," said Lord Chalice from his chair before turning to other councilmembers.

Nobody stayed after hearing him; all of us walked out of the central command at breakneck speed before stepping into the formation.

Even though we could continue for days without sleep, we slept whenever we could. We are trained for it; it is the way we could maximize our efficiency in this war where we could be called to fight at any moment.

So, the four-hour break we got is really small, considering there are many other things than just sleeping.

I have to shower, eat and sleep in these four hours. I wish the break would have been bigger, considering I am still recovering, and sleep helps a lot in recovering faster, but these people did not seem to care about my recovery.

Four hours passed, it felt like just a minute had passed. I had never showered and eaten at such speed in my life before taking full three-hour-long sleep.

I wish I could do all these things at my core, but unfortunately, I could not. I could sleep in my core, but it would make me sleep outside, too, defeating the whole purpose of sleep.

"Today will not be as relaxing as tomorrow; watch carefully and listen to everything, we will ask your opinion," said Lady May as we appeared in the central command; nobody seemed surprised hearing that, some like Simon seemed quite excited about it.

She was right about what she had said as the first question came in just a few minutes. "Asma, what would be our casualties on the battlefield 243?" Asked Lord Whitmore.

Battle 243 is an off-continent battlefield; it is near a minor continent, and currently, a human army of three million strong is going to clash against the army of ten million Grimm Monsters and the ones that are leading the battle are elites.

"It would be twenty thousand below the Tyrant stage, and we might lose two to four Tyrants," Asma replied a second later, and she is quite sure of her assessment.

She just did not throw away the number; each and everyone here had a great battle experience. They have been taught war since they were children and begin to fight against the Grimm Monsters by the time they reach fifteen.

Since the war began, they have already fought hundreds of battles, and many of them were led by them. So, every word they say has great reasoning to back it up.

"Your prediction is quite closer to the predictions made by the Pyramids AI," He said, and a data chart appeared beside that screen.

The Pyramids AI is the most powerful war AI we have in our control; it is not only the most sophisticated but also contains a huge amount of database through which it made its predictions.

Th Pyramid with us since the first epoch war, the war of retaking. It contains the data of nearly all the battles that had happened for more than thousands of years; its predictions help a lot in the war efforts.

Though it had been wrong many times, even with all the data, it is not omnipotent. If the thoughts of intelligent life had been predicted by a machine, we would have stopped using our brains long ago.

Its predictions were only used as guidance; the council made the decision on their reasoning.

A few minutes passed, and councilmembers asked another question about another battlefield; every few minutes, they would ask questions, sometimes twice or thrice, to the same a person, but they did not ask me.

Even Simon had not been spared, but no question had come at me.

They have been treating me equal to these people since I came here; all my accomplishments and contributions were forgotten that had little unwearied me seeing I got respect wherever I go. Sometimes it is because of my kills and talents; sometimes, it is because of my contribution.

So, them not asking me questions is a little strange.

I was just thinking that when suddenly a screen brightened and doubled in size, showing the battle of two Grandmasters above the red sandy dunes.

The thing is, I am familiar with the human Grandmaster; I was under his command nearly a year ago in the fort Ardon.

"Micheal, how fast do you think the Grandmaster Raven would be able to beat the Tasdf of Crimson Tooth Hogman tribe?" asked Lady May.

Her surprise caught me a little off guard before a mirthless smile appeared on my face, "If the latest information you have provided about the Hogman is right, then it would be a complete retreat on the Grandmaster Raven's part; you might even have to prepare a rescue," I said.

It had surprised the people around me and froze the smile on Lady May's face, but it did not surprise her or the council. If I am right, then they have made the same assessment about the battle.

The information about Hogman did not say it is truly strong or strong enough to dominate a Grandmaster Raven who is at the same level as it, but the thing is the Hogmans abilities could counter Grandmaster Raven's abilities well.

The last Grandmaster who fought against the Hogman had said in her report that Hogman is more powerful than it lets on.

So, Grandmaster Raven has to retreat and might even need a rescue if it was hiding its true powers in the previous battles.

Lady May nodded and was about to say something when she suddenly stopped, and my eyes too suddenly became serious when another screen became bigger. It is of the battlefield 138, a place where people important to me are fighting.

"Mom," said Elowyn softly.

Yes, her mother is on that battlefield, and not only her but Leonard too. I had sent them there just two days before I went to my latest mission, where I nearly got killed.
