Chapter 2534: Spark Of Defiance

"Let's go," I said as I sat on the Ashlyn, and with a single flap of her wings, she took us into the sky. We have rested for six hours, and now, I am feeling good enough to take on any challenge.

While we took the risk, Nero was still hopping at one artifact after another without taking a rest. Seeing that, I once again opened my mouth to speak but did not say.

Hours passed as we flew through a couple of more cities; at each city, I stopped for a few seconds to collect the scan, and as I studied them, I noticed one interesting thing among human slave seals.

On the way, I begin to do a little tinkering with the seal; if we manage to get control of this ruin, we will have to deal with these seals. These seals are quite good and quite complex; I am sure they have been furnished hundreds of times through the thousands of years, and it is quite hard to find a flaw in them.

Soon, we had reduced our speed considerably; we had come quite close to our destination, and if we continued flying at such speed, there was a chance that we might get discovered.

With this much-reduced speed, it will take us half a day to reach our destination, which is quite long but safe. Grandmasters could forget discovering us at this speed; even High Grandmasters will have to put some effort into finding us.

Hun!

A few hours passed when suddenly, I saw something which couldn't help but put a smile on my face. I have finally spotted a party going on pilgrimage, and it seemed to have over a thousand people, and they belonged to the poison river legion.

'Go over them,' I asked Ashlyn, without care about the mid-level Grimm Grandmaster who was leading them.

I appeared over them and released my seeds, and a few seconds later, meta-scans began to appear in front of my eyes. Each and every one of these scans is lit with the color of the constitution; there is not a single human that doesn't have a constitution.

Such density of the constitution couldn't help but surprise me; I had been expecting it but still couldn't help but become surprised.

Of all the constitutions, 50% of constitutions are below average, 30% are average, 18% are above average, 1.7% are best, and the rest 0.3% are truly exceptional. Such numbers are extremly good, especially for the exceptional constitution.

While these people may have the constitution, their Inheritances are not capable of utilizing their power, not even the power of a below-average constitution.

The inheritances the Grimms have imprinted on them are even worse than what Leonard had; even Tyrants here could not project power more than an average Human emperor outside; it is truly a complete supression of their natural gift.

But what can we expect from the enemy; they would cut off any avenue of rebellion. The rebellions have arisen before, and it had cost Grimms a lot; they would be a truly an idiot if they did not learn anything from that.

In this ruin, they have given humans enough power and levels for them to be expert laborers but not enough to create trouble.

A single elite would be more than enough to deal with any kind of trouble the humans would cause.

'I will take it from here,' I said to Ashlyn and jumped off her while she flew away. I had decided to follow this party from behind while Ashlyn went for the fountain.

My plan is to observe and study the seal; I could do that on my own without help from my avatar, which is still working on the Inheritance, and do it till it is finished. I planned on making a breakthrough in the leader class after getting out of this ruin and seeing the progress I am making; I might be able to do that.

Four hours passed in slow travel, and we stopped by a city, the last city in the poison river region; as we did, a Master class powerhouse came out, and behind it were ninety-seven humans.

As I had expected, a few seconds later, I deposited my seeds inside them, and meta-scan began to appear one after another, and all of them had the constitution.

Hun!

Suddenly, two constitutions appeared one after another, and they were blinding like the sun.

I was instantly shocked by their radiance; these two constitutions are extremly powerful. The only constitution I have seen is stronger than that of the twins, but that was no constitution but elemental bodies.

These are the true constitutions and the most powerful I have ever seen; so powerful that they had begun to pressure the Inheritance.

These two people are quite young, around their late teens or early twenties. The young woman is older while the young man is a year younger.

The young woman had a poison constitution, while the young man had pure water elemental constitution, and their constitutions were powerful. So, powerful that within a year, they will break apart the Inheritances they have.

Their Inheritance had suppressed their constitution since the beginning, barely letting them use any of its power. In this constant suppression, the power of the constitution is increasing, and within a year, it will increase so much that it will crush the Inheritance in one single push.

Hun!

I was looking at their Inheritance when I noticed something in the young women's constitution. It is not stable.

I continued to dig deeper, and the more I looked, the more shocked I became. It did not take me long before I understood everything and it had truly shocked me; I had never thought someone would do something like that.

At first, seeing the instability, I thought it was natural or happened due to some accident; sometimes it happened; I was very wrong to think about that.

No, the cracks in the constitution causing the instability are not natural or accidental but intentional. Not just that, there is also deep poison energy that had been filled inside it; so much that it got out, it will trouble even Grandmasters.

If I am not wrong, the young woman is trying to blast away her constitution, and it is a very dangerous thing.

I don't think even this young woman fully understands what kind of destruction she would cause if she self-destructed her constitution and the poison energy that is stored in the cracks; even High Grandmasters wouldn't survive it.

What shocked me most was the willpower of this young woman; the pain she was feeling was off the charts. If I am seeing her pain scans right now and she is feeling more pain than that what I felt when I had consumed the diluted Nine Blood Burning Essence.

She is bearing this pain, not for minutes, hours, or even days but for years without breaking part. Even my mind will break within a day if I bear the pain she is bearing right now.

It seemed like the Grimms were not able to break the will of humans even after thousands of years of slavery; some are bearing the spark of defiance in their hearts.
