Monster Integration

Chapter 2549: Out

The extractions had reached the last stage; 96% of Grimm's constitution had already been extracted, the extraction of the last 4% would be finished in a few minutes, and the gates of the artifact would open soon after that.

I looked at humans, especially a few unconscious ones, the spies. The Grimms have kept the spies among the enslaved humans.

The Grimms are extremly smart and learned through thousands of years, which is why they give barely any chance to the large rebellion.

If there is something happening, Grimms wants to know about it and be prepared to deal with it. Of these five thousand people, there are one hundred and twelve spies, and what makes them dangerous and hard to detect, not all of them have a free seal.

A minority, less than 1% of them, have restricted seal-like others, which makes it really hard to see them as spies as their seals are the same.

I was only able to catch them when they acted; I don't think there might be any more spies; I have deeply looked at the brain scans of all people, even walked among them hours ago, and was quite successful catching spies.

So, I think I had caught all of them, but still, I would not let my guard down. We have been attacked in the back too many times to be truly letting my guard down, even among our fellow humans.

Finally, the last drop of constitutional essence is extracted by the artifact, and the Grimm falls down unconscious. The artifact is quite cruel; it will not let those whose constitution getting extracted fall unconscious during the process; they will have to bear the pain.

I can imagine how much pain thousands of humans had suffered when they went through this process.

Buzz!

A moment after the last drop was extracted, the runic formations in the artifact buzzed before they began to mute down, and a few seconds later, all the runes died down.

I looked at the Black Sharkman, who till now is still standing in its place, its eyes now filled with the great anticipation and cruelty. It had been waiting for more than a day, barely moving from its spot, and now, in a minute or two, the doors will open.

"You, all because of you, we will die the most horrific death!" Shouted a man in his forties; he is one of the older people here, awakening the constitution very late in his life.

"Really? I think what the Grimms had just suffered was the most horrific thing; everything else is pale in front of it, even torture," I replied back with mock and scorn.

He is not a spy but a person who is very panicked, and he is not the only one; all of them are panicked, and you do not reason with such people. Especially when taking into consideration they have been slaves to the Grimms for the rest of the life

They were born into slavery and only known fear of the Grimm Monster, except for a select few who dare to have the spark of rebellion; everyone is like this.

My answer shut them off, and I could see they wanted to do something; some even opened their mouths to speak but closed them; seeing the look in my eyes, they closed their mouths.

I did not focus on them, instead looked at the Black Sharkman Fasra. It is not the only one waiting for the battle; I, too, want to fight and test my new strength against it.

Sup!

The silence lasted for a minute till it was broken by the door opening of the artifact.

As the door opened, the Black Sharkman gave me its most vicious laugh that shuddered the humans; some even fainted looking at it.

"You have made a grave mistake, human, and you are going to regret it." It said, "I will not kill you, but torture you for months, peeling layer by layer of your skin and dipping you dipping you in most painful solutions that tear apart your soul," It added with a vicious smile on its face.

"Glad to hear it, and we will who does that to whom, but before we do that, take them," I said and waved my hand; just as I did, the unconscious Grimms and humans flew toward the Black Sharkman.

It was a little surprised by my action but quickly formed the tunnel, sending the unconscious Grimm and humans, it looking at me with ice-cold hate.

I am not worried about doing something to humans; it will not. They are precious goods, who have become even more precious after taking the constitutional essence from the Grimms; killing them in revenge would be idiocy, and the Fasra is anything but an idiot.

A minute later, all the humans and Grimms were out. I also stood up from the sitting position; as I did, the huge runic phantom covering me became smaller and smaller until it had covered me before seeping inside me.

With a smile on my face, I walked toward the exit and soon appeared beside the door before taking a step out of it.

Hun!

I was assaulted the moment I took a step outside of the artifact, not by the Fasra but by the concentrated raw energy. It was above what I had experienced in the artifact; most importantly, it is very hard, not mellowed at all.

Not to mention, it is heavily water elemental energy, with a mix of 20% other elemental energy, which makes it quite dangerous, very unlike the neutral energy that the artifact had provided me during the breakthrough.

I had to create a layer of energy around myself to protect myself from it; the energy would be able to harm my body which is strengthened by art if I stayed in it long enough.

"Quite harsh energies, and it is the only boundary; I don't think I will be able to reach the center of the fountain, even with all my strength," I said to it, which looked at me in surprise; not everyone could stand in such pure energy, especially not Grandmasters.

"So, you have made a breakthrough into the High Grandmaster class," It stated.

"Yes, its all thanks to you. You have forced me," I said with a sigh as if it was not something I wanted, and it was true.

This time, I was lucky; the breakthroughs are not easy, especially at these levels, which provide one with god-like power. Not to mention, people spent decades, even centuries, in preparations for the breakthrough, and I have barely spent a year.

"A high Grandmaster, before twenty-five, even among us Grimms, it is an extremly exception feat," It said with appreciation, but a moment later, a big cruel smile appeared on its face.

"It is a good thing; killing you will definitely appease the anger of higher-ups, and they will even reward me for it," It said, and the power boiled across its body, and it was about to take a step when it stopped, I also looked before it.

"I am not so sure about that, Fasra; you have made a big mess, and higher-ups had sent me to clean it up, especially to deal with this troublemaker," said the voice from behind before appearing beside Fasra a moment later.

"Gosdr!" Fasra said with gritted teeth as it looked at the Grimm, who is a meter shorter than it. Fasra did not seem surprised by its appearance, but it was not like it even one bit; I could see burning hate appearing in its eyes for a fraction of a second before it disappeared.
