Chapter 2823: Another Month

"One week more," I said as I looked at the runic humanoid projection in front of me; it was finished; I only need make some minute changes and check it for mistakes, which would take about a week.

I had thought it would take me two to three months to be finished with the changes, but I will be done in less than that. Only thirty-five days had passed since I had walked out of the palace of wonders, and in a week more, I would be ready to make a breakthrough.

It wouldn't have been possible without the help of my clone; it worked constantly on the armor, and like now, I begin to use every bit of the free time I have to work on my inheritance.

It was quite difficult to acing the challenges without the help from my clone, which I have become so dependent on.

I had to use the abilities which I had not since I had created the clone; thankfully, I had the foresight not to remove those abilities, which are now helping me a lot.

I stayed in my clone for three and a half hours before I opened my eyes and looked around.

There are quite a lot of people around me, even Masters, who have become a minority after more than three months of the opening of this place.

Of the five Masters, two had just leveled to a Grandmaster a while ago; three Grimm Masters had also leveled up after they received the boost.

More than half of the people have already left, while the others are leaving one by one; there is only half an hour remaining before the gate closes.

Buzz!

Seeing that, I got from my spot and walked toward the stand, and placed the nine rings on white marble. Immediately counter buzzed, and I found myself covered in the golden glow.

It entered inside me, but not a speck of it was able to merge with me, and a few seconds later, the whirlpool had been created from my core and sucked all the boost inside. As the last speck got sucked by my core, I walked out without any change on my face.

It had happened to me so many times that it had become a routine. Though, every time it happened, it made me curious about where this boost goes.

It is not always that I keep the boost; I sometimes give to others as I did with Lord Hunt, but this time, I did not see anyone like Lord Hunt who would make good use of the boost.

There were people who would have reached High-Grandmaster class or were at the limit with my boost, but they did not matter much in the grand scheme of things; it would be better to let them earn the boost than simply giving them.

"You were lucky this time, Zaar, next time, you won't be," said the Bearman as bore down its aura at me. The aura of the Grand Lord, the first Grand lord, I have come across in this place.

I had fought against it a few minutes earlier; I truly wished I had come across it an hour ago; I would have tried my all to slay this bastard, and there was a chance I could with the restrictions on our power, but I only got two and half minutes against.

Even I could not perform a miracle in two and a half minutes.

"You wouldn't have been standing here if we didn't have only two and a half minutes basr," I said to which it glared before laughing.

"I was going to say the same, Zaar; it is quite a regret that we only got to fight for two and half a minutes," It said before stepping into the blue door. It is not leaving; the greedy bastard likely wanted to take all the boost this place had to offer before leaving.

Even for a Grand Lord, the boosts here are substantial.

I did not stay further in the safe zone either and followed Grimm into the blue door like always, darkness enveloped me for a second, and I had got star imprinted on my wrist before everything began to become clear, and I once again found myself into the forest.

"The Rainforest," I said; there are many times forests have come before, but not a rainforest, especially one which has torrential rain and even the lighting crackling from above.

I moved my gaze toward the mission board, and my expression couldn't help but change for the worse. There is only one word written there, and below it is time.

The word written is 'Survive' with three days as a time limit.

I loved these kinds of tests, but I was hoping to get some relaxed ones so that I could focus on my inheritance, but that is not going to happen now. It is a good thing I slept earlier because now, for the next three days, I am not going to get any.

Patter Patter Patter

The board disappeared a minute later, and the furious rain began to strike me; thankfully, I had changed into waterproof clothes because without the energy, it would have been quite troublesome to deal with the wetness.

My energy is completely sealed, though some physical enhancement to the level of peak Knight has remained. Which I hoped would be enough, but nothing could be said, who knows, the rain might turn freezing cold, or lightning might begin to strike me, where these physical enhancements begin to get tested.

I did not remain on my spot long and walked toward the big tree that I saw; while I could bear the rain, that does not mean I wanted.

I like to be dry like everybody else, but it is going to be a challenge, considering this is a survival mission and these missions are notoriously frustrating.

Chi Chi Chi

I was just thinking that when suddenly, all the hair on my body stood up, as I heard the irritating sound from the familiar monsters.
