ROAR

The phantom of the poison dragon roared as it had materialized, while the phantom of the lady of the forest remained serene, but its power was no weaker than the poison dragon roaring beside it.

Seeing them materializing, a smile couldn't help but appear on my face. Marina had succeeded in breaking through. I have no doubt she would. She had worked hard to reach here, without taking much help from me.

The phantoms stayed there for a few seconds before they merged into Marina's body. As it did, her aura begin to rise rapidly.

We all watched from the distance, not because it will disturb her breakthrough, but because it was dangerous. She is making a breakthrough in a very dangerous place; it is extremely poisonous.

If that poison hit me, it will burn my vitality, while I could resist it. I like to stay far away as possible from it.

An hour passed, and the aura had stopped rising. Marina was sitting under the shade of an enormous tree and finally opened her eyes, and immediately, I noticed great joy in her eyes, but also sadness.

It stayed in her eyes for a couple of seconds, before her expression cleared and she got up, before appearing directly in front of us.

"Congratulations, love," I said to Marina as I look at her. The breakthrough had brought a change in her, making her more inhuman, and beautiful.

The scales on her body had become even more glittering and her eyes are radiating with even more power, and now making love with her is going to be even more dangerous. She is not a simple woman.

A single kiss from her could kill a Primary II.

"Congratulations, mom," said Elina, glaring at me. She still did not like me showing public affection to her mother, which is why I like to tease her more.

Others congratulated her, and a few minutes later, we returned to the academy where I threw a party, inviting my friends and family.

The party had lasted until late evening, before all the guests left, leaving us alone in our house.

"What happened?" I asked as the last guest left. I did not forget the expressions she had after she finished with the breakthrough.

The light smile on her face turned serious, and she sat couch. I sat beside her before taking her hand. I had never seen her this serious, and it couldn't help but make me feel worried.

Though I did not pressure her, it must be something to make her this serious. So, I waited.

"I am pregnant," she said after more than ten minutes of silence.

It would be a great understatement if I say this did not shock me. It is the last thing I had expected her to say, but I looked at beautiful twin-colored eyes, which were looking at me with a myriad of emotions.

From fear to joy to sadness and many more.

"Then we will be great parents," I said and kissed her cheek lightly. I did not question her words, despite not seeing any sign of pregnancy in her body. Even now, when my clones are looking at her meta-scan, they could not see it.

"The upgraded cloaking seed will give us three years. In that time, I have confidence that I could upgrade it further to give us more time in the world," I added, but instead of turning happy, she became sad.

"The pregnancy is different from human pregnancy. It will take decades and will be extremely risky in the environment of our world," she said and did something inside her. That immediately, hidden thing became visible.

It lasted for a second, but I have got everything I needed to see.

'She is truly pregnant.' I thought and joy I had never felt before erupted from my heart. We had talked about the children, but they are far in our future; not to mention the chances of it happening were extremely low because of Marina's biology.

She is not fully human anymore. The two bloodlines have made great changes to her very DNA. It is due to it, the chances of us having a baby were extremely low, and the reason we did not use protection.

Unconsciously, we were trying for a baby and unexpectedly succeeded.

"I am happy that you are pregnant with my child, more than I had thought I would be," I said, gently

"What are we going to do about the baby? We can't have the baby born here and the world through the gate is too dangerous," she asked with eyes filled with worry; she is not the only one who is worried, I am worried too.

The baby is mine too and in just a couple of seconds. The news made me feel the weakest I had ever been in my life.

"We will think of something," I said, and she smiled weakly. Even though we are gods in the world, we do not have a choice.

We will have to raise our child in a dangerous environment, whether or not we wanted. I have seen what Marina had shown me and just looking at a few things, I understood many things.

The baby couldn't be born in the world. It is not a human baby and thus the environment of the world is unsuitable for it to grow.

Seeing it floating in a dense magical energy and how it is not enough for it; I know we will have to leave, the sooner the better. So, there is no question about extending the deadline, which I was thinking of.

"I am worried, Michael," she said, with tears welling up in her eyes. "I know, love, but being worried will not do anything," I said and hugged her.

We stayed on the couch for more than an hour in silence, before we went back to our room where we slept hugging each other.

The next day, we begin working. We wanted to know everything about our child. While her bloodlines had hidden it very carefully, that even Marina hadn't gotten to know about it till she made the breakthrough.

Even I wasn't able to do it with my all-powerful seed.

Within a few days, we got enough data, that we made some changes. Marina's diet had changed, and so is her lifestyle. She would only eat high-energy food. All the food she ate would be in Primary-II.

She is also beginning to sleep more, at least six hours a day. These changes have made a difference, we have seen the changes.

I am doing everything I could, but I wish I could do more. I am restricted to the world we are in and that is making me look forward to the day when we passed through the gate, even knowing how terribly I am going to miss the world.

Day after day passed. Every few days, someone would make a breakthrough; most people did it on their own, including my sister, of which I am very proud, but some, like council members of the academy, needed help.

There are quite many few people are leaving, which I think is a wise step, despite it weakening the world.

The world had changed with the Grimms' gone and now it needs new leadership, without the shadows of the past. It will weaken the world temporarily, but in the long term, it will make it stronger.
