"Human, any last wish?" asked the Hawk Beastman as he appeared in front of me.

He is one of the most beautiful persons; I had ever seen, that is even such a condition. I couldn't help but admire him. The purple wings, sharp facial features, and silvery hair make him look quite beautiful.

"Can you let me go?" I asked sheepishly, after a moment of silence. "No," he answered, and a white curved blade appeared in his hand.

He looked at me before swinging that sword. There is no energy in it, aside from the blade's natural abilities and pure physical force behind it.

It is more than enough to finish someone like me, effortlessly.

His blade moved, and I could see it. It was extremely fast, but his movements were so smooth that I could see it. I could also see the frown on his face, seeing no fear of mine, only a smile.

Of course, I am scared, but I am not going to show him or the others; I need to make it look like I have everything under my control.

Ting!

Its sword had reached me and was only a hand distance away from cutting my head apart when it had stopped.

It made a melodic sound when a crystalline blade stopped it. The clash was powerful, but there was no shockwave and a melodic sound instead of the deafening blast.

A human woman appeared beside me, and her blade had stopped the attack. I looked at her, but my focus was occupied by a young man beside her.

'How is he even alive?' I asked myself, before pushing those thoughts away and focusing on my condition.

"It is my prey. You shouldn't interfere," said the Hawk Beastman. "I am doing it. So, what are you gonna do?" asked the raven-haired woman.

The Hawk Beastman looked at her angrily, before flapping his wings and simply disappearing. His speed was so fast. I couldn't see anything, except for a faint blur, and that was for a moment.

"Willow, thank you for saving me," I said, a raven-haired beautiful woman.

She is a Kara, and she is not human, but impersonating as one with the help of the artifact.

It is even working here, where no cloaking method or artifacts work, aside from offensive weapons. It is no doubt a powerful artifact.

As for why I am calling her Willow, she had asked me, a moment ago.

"Landan, I did not think we would meet here," she said. She is not the only one who has changed her name, I did too. Along with my face and other things.

I had asked her to use my new name, instead of the old, she knew me by.

"Yes, it is quite a surprise," I said. Of course, I am not going to tell her, I have known she would be her for months.

Since I had seen her in cells.

"Willow, would you mind telling me why you saved him? He is a primary and would be baggage if we keep him with us," said the man beside her.

'Look who's talking,' I said in my heart. If anyone is baggage here, it would be him.

He is a Sovereign and, from the looks of it, a powerful one. More powerful than even Kara, but there is a problem with him, his race.

He is from the Tais race, who are hunted for their power crystal on his head. There are hundreds of races who have a power crystal, including Kara's, who's spread across her body in those beautiful lines.

Unlike the power crystals of most races, which are useless to others; the same is not for the power crystal of the Tais race.

They could be used by others and the benefits they provide are tremendous when merged with one's core.

It is why they are hunted, despite being forbidden.

Being forbidden does not mean people will not do the thing. They will not just do it openly; the place we are currently in is a prime example of that.

"Because he knows a way to get out of this place," said Kara, and the man's eyes widened. "Really?" he asked, and I nodded.

"Ask him what it is then," he said to Kara, and she turned to me. "We have to reach the source of the beam," I answered.

"We?" He asked. "Of course, we; do you think I will just tell you the way?" I asked back, and anger appeared in his eyes and his expression became a little nasty.

"It won't take more than a few minutes to bring those secrets out of your mouth," he said threateningly, taking a step closer to me.

"Try me," I challenged.

A moment later, a wisp of aura released from him; it is powerful, and it pressed me down like the mountain.

"Enough!" said Kara sharply, and the man took back his aura while she turned to me. "Do you really know the way out of here?" she asked as she started at me intensely.

"Help me reach the center and I will shut this bloody thing off and get us out of here," I replied.

To which she nodded.

"It will not be easy to reach there. We might die," said the man. "What other choice do we have? We are not powerful enough to come to the top," she said and intentionally stared at his yellow power crystal.

A thing he did not like.

"Fine," he said and turned toward me. "I really hope you have a way, human. If you lied, I would kill you with my own hands." He said, before turning toward the bloody beam.

A moment later, Kara's energy covered me, and we moved.

We are not flying, but still moving extremely fast. The power of the Sovereign is nothing to scoff at.

"Here, use this; it will help you hide your race," I said and threw a crystal. He looked surprised before mirth appeared in his eyes.

"The formation and artifacts do not work here," he said, looking at the crystal in his hand. "This one does," I said, and he did not believe me.

Though a moment later, a shock appeared on his face, as the crystal activated. That shock is nothing, compared to what appeared a couple of seconds later.

The crystal worked, and it was better than they had imagined. It had completely hidden his race, turning him into a different race.

The changes seemed, but they are not; the crystal only made small changes to his prominent features, which shows his race, and changed them a little, instead of hiding them.

This way, it is more difficult to discover his race.

"Thank you," he said after a few seconds of silence, and he sounded quite emotional.

From what I heard, the tais race has powerful methods to hide their identity, but this place makes most of them obsolete. So, unless you have a powerful artifact like Kara or forbidden power like me, you are in for a time.

Ten minutes passed, and we have come across one Sovereign.

He moved toward us, but stopped after taking a few steps when Kara and Clem released their aura.

They might not be the strongest Sovereign here, but they are pretty strong. I am aware of Kara's power.

I have her meta-scan, and in the few months since we parted; she seemed to have become even stronger.
