3351 Leaving The Mist Valley
Puch!
My sword pierced through the chest of Snakeman and a moment later, it disappeared into my core, while I moved to the hiding spot.
My injuries are heavy, that I chose this powerful enemy. I had wanted to challenge myself and nearly died due to that.
Though, I did get what I wanted. The battle had filled the thirst of my heart and also showed me, the hint of power the real Peak Sovereigns have.
Peak on every level, there are many powerful bastards who could harness some of the power of the next level. This bastard was not that, but seeing its abilities, it would have gained that power and even broke through to the next level.
I may have the power of the Peak Sovereign, but I am far from being strong enough to deal with the strongest.
Though, I am confident enough to hide from most of them, which is good enough for me currently.
Soon, I reached the hiding spot, and at the same time; the Grimm had collapsed into the dust.
Buzz!
A moment later, thick, powerful, strengthening energy released from my core into my body and soul. Strengthening them rapidly and also healing my injuries, mixing with the healing energy I had released.
I sat down and dealt with my injuries; there are nearly a hundred pockets of powerful energies around my body.
I need to deal with them quickly. If they exploded at once, they will be the end of me.
It had been ten days since I had walked out of the tunnel, and I was still in the mist valley. I would have gone out a few days ago, but I had stayed to hunt the Grimms.
I had planned to hunt them outside of the valley where they have gathered, but Nero said doing would be risky, seeing there are also the Earth Sovereigns there.
So, I am hunting near places, which Grimms prefer.
Though, I am being an idiot to hunt in the same place. I have been changing the place after killing the few Grimms.
It is much safer and also helps, that lots of natives have poured into the ruin. Since they have found an exit and information on the ruin; the organization has sent a lot of people inside.
It made killing Grimms a lot easier, without arousing any suspicion.
Soon, the last drop of the strengthening energy merged into me, and I looked at the limit and smiled.
'It seemed like I could now leave this place,' I thought. The Grimm had taken me a lot closer to my limit than I had thought it would. My limit had filled to 98.9%; one more Grimms and I am done.
I am sure I would be able to find one powerful bloodline Grimm on my way to the exit.
Even if I didn't find one; I would be reaching it there myself with the strengthening methods and the treatments.
A smile couldn't help but appear on my face at the thought of leaving. This ruin had given me so much, but I have been here for months and now, I just want to get out of it into the real world.
Finally, I finished dealing with all the poisonous energy of the Grimm and got up.
I got out of the hiding place and moved toward the exit of the mist valley, and since I have gotten everything, I am leaving through the safe route.
Which is also closer to my destination, which I should be able to reach in around a week.
Two hours passed, and I could see the exit of the mist valley. I should be able to reach there in an hour. I wanted to go out many times, but reaching the limit was important, but now I could do it.
I am moving fast, but cautious. This side may not have much traffic, but sometimes Grimm Peak Sovereigns and Earth Sovereigns came through it.
Those bastards entered the route to hunt. I have seen many times through Nero how they kill the natives. One Grimm Earth Sovereign had swallowed the small native alive.
Just remembering the scene makes me shudder.
'Father, hide,' warned Nero, and immediately I hid. A couple of seconds later, I saw a winged Grimm flying not far away from me.
It is an Earth Sovereign, and, from the looks of its aura; it has average strength but is more than powerful enough to crush me to a bloody paste, with a single attack.
Hun!
A second passed, and it flew through but stopped suddenly. My heart couldn't help but skip a beat seeing that.
I am in range of the Earth Sovereign, but fast enough from its concentrated power and my stealth method is working great. It wouldn't have sensed me, but I had readied myself for it.
I wouldn't be going down without a fight.
For a few seconds it didn't do anything, just looked around, with no direction in particular, before suddenly powering its soul sense.
I felt its thick, powerful soul sense, which, from thinking as air, had become as thick as water.
I am scared shit. The only thing that gave me confidence is the changes I have made in my armor in several seconds. To get more aligned with its soul sense, so the chances of it discovering me would lessen if something like this happened.
Seconds felt like hours, when suddenly it waved its arm and a moment later; a native came out of its hiding spot, covered in its energy.
'He is dead,' I thought. There is no way it would survive that.
I felt sad for the Beastman, even if he was from the organization. He is a Peak Sovereign, with a bright future ahead of him, but now it is all destroyed.
The Beastman tried to struggle, but the energy of the Grimms was too powerful and it seemed to squeeze it.
A couple of seconds passed, and I closed my eyes and muttered a prayer. The Beastman died and died horribly, and I wish I could say, it is my first time seeing the Grimms killing the natives in such horrible ways.
The broken body of the native disappeared and Grimm flew ahead, disappearing a few seconds later.
I didn't move from my spot for more than a minute. Even after Nero gave go ahead, I didn't move for a couple of seconds.
I sighed and got out of my hiding spot.
Hiding will not help me, I have things to do and the first of them all is getting out of this place.
Nearly an hour passed, and I stopped in front of a wall of mist. There is a thick wall of mist ahead of me. It is so thick, I wouldn't see anything on the other side, even using all my abilities.
I took out a deep breath and stepped inside and found myself covered in thick mist, which is even thicker than grey mist.
The only difference they have is that there is no strong suppression of the soul and senses.
I didn't stay in the mist and a second later, stepped into the other side, feeling a lot lighter and less suppression than before.
