Tang Tang Tang!

'It is much harder than I had thought,' as I hit the hammer against the tiny rune.

It is no common rune, but an ancient rune, which I am using in my breakthrough formation. I have finished reforging all the common runes, but now the ancient ones have remained, and they are going to take time.

This is only the first rune, and there are thousands of them.

It had been one month and twenty-three days since I had come to the Tor, and I have been here ever since.

My days had been spent working in my core, working in the hospital. Also, visiting the alchemy and artifice department every other day and I have been learning a lot about it.

I have also been attending weekly discussions and attended a monthly one and I have learned a lot from them.

I feel like, if I had access to them, my inheritance would have been slightly better than it is. The confluence of ideas is amazing, while books also provide them. They are nothing like people-to-people interaction.

I have started working on reforging the breakthrough formation. To merge the fusion energy, it absorbed into it and added ancient runes into it.

Ancient runes are much harder to deal with. Their connection with the world is far stronger than the common runes, making the process even harder.

As for my abode that I had been working on. Well, I had nearly finished with it, nineteen days ago.

The reason I had said nearly was because. It had nearly finished. It only needs one step, and it will be done.

The spatial seed.

I have a spatial seed in my core, but it is not enough. I need a stronger one; the one at least on Earth-Sovereign level. If I use the Sovereign level; I would limit my abode.

Limiting it is the last thing I want to do.

The marketplace has it, but it is far too expensive, not to mention I am restricted from buying it. Either I will have to buy it from outside or grow the spatial seed tree to the Earth Sovereign grade.

Both things are not easy to accomplish.

The spatial seed is an extremely rare resource. The moment it entered the market, it got sold; I could forget about getting it from there.

It is just as difficult to grow it.

I have three peak Sovereign spatial trees inside my core, but it will take them decades, even with time dilation and a perfect environment, before they can reach the Earth Sovereign level.

The only way I would be able to get it quickly is to find it in the storage of some enemy or find the Earth Sovereign Grimm with the bloodline.

Both of those things on which I have no control. Especially when I am cooped up here in Tor.

It is really frustrating that after working on it for months. Solving thousands of problems, that have reached the end, only to be stopped at it.

Sometimes, I just want to use the Sovereign spatial seed, but that would be an obvious mistake. I have really created an incredible thing and I wouldn't limit it using a lower-level spatial seed.

As for using an artificial spatial seed, I didn't even think about it.

I pushed away the thoughts and focused on the runes and I stuck it, with the perfect method. Every few minutes, I would use a different type of tool and take the rune through a different process.

Each process would shrink the rune and remove impurities in it.

Hours passed, and I was finally finished with the runes. A few minutes later than my clone did.

It had already started working on its second rune, while I stopped and watched it.

Each ruin is different, and we need to use a slightly different approach. It is challenging to work on them, but I could tell how beneficial, it will be.

Just like how I advanced fast in artificing while forging the abode. I will advance just as fast in reforging this breakthrough formation.

It made me feel like, I should always have the clone work on the big project, but that is obviously not going to happen.

These projects need a massive number of resources and while I have a lot of resources. I do not have them in unlimited amounts; I need to be careful in using them or I will find my repository empty before I know it.

I didn't join my clone back. No, I have other things to do.

I disappeared and appeared in the library, before walking into it. There, I saw four of my clones working on inheritance and studying, but I didn't walk toward them.

Instead, I walked toward the clone, sitting alone, working on things.

It is studying the data in front of it and checking if anything is wrong. There is nothing wrong, it had already checked it twice and didn't find any fault in the data.

This is a clone working on the slime, to devise a method to use them.

It had, but I didn't use slimes yet. Why? Because I don't want to get caught, especially in the experimental phase.

I will have to test it and I couldn't test it here. I don't know if I am being watched by the Prime and I can't take the risk of them finding out about it.

They have yet to finish my background check and even they finished that. I will have to earn their trust enough, that they wouldn't suspect anything, even if they found out.

It will take years and I could do nothing other than wait for the mission.

Once we are out, I will have enough opportunities to test the slime. Once I become sure, that I wouldn't be detected by even Prime through enough experiments; I might even use it in the organization.

It is why, I have been desperately waiting for the mission, despite enjoying the calm life in the organization.

I worked with my clone for an hour and a half, before I went to my clones and directed them, before sitting at the table alone and working on the ancient rune formation.

By the time I finished, I was tired.

I opened my eyes, got up, and deactivated the formation in my core, which made it look like I was practicing some method.

I walked out of the practice room, went to my bedroom, and lay down, before closing my eyes to sleep.

I have to leave for early morning tomorrow; there are many patients that need the healing.

I fell asleep within a second and woke up five hours later.

Hun!

I had just woken up, when suddenly my eyes widened, and I looked at my batch and a big smile appeared on my face.

"Finally," I said.

There is a mission, and I have to leave the day after tomorrow for it. I read the mission details; there is not much.

Most of the things are obscured. Still, there is enough information to give me an idea about it.

I had till afternoon to accept the mission, but I didn't wait even a minute and accepted. I have been waiting for it; there is no way I would reject the mission.
