3543 Short Route

Hun!

I was about to get up when I paused and sat down. There is a Grimm outside, a Peak Earth-Sovereign, and it has the bloodline.

I am no match for it.

It was cursing in its isolation bubble as it looked at the destroyed doors. I can't blame it for it, since I had been doing the same, not long ago.

It is hard to control the emotions when all you see is the disappointment.

I had to hide for a few minutes before I got up and walked out of the room and appeared in front of the door.

A moment later, the formation appeared and stuck on the door.

Buzz!

The buzz rang out, and the formation broke.

Click!

I pushed open the door and entered inside. Immediately, I came across the library, which had been untouched by anyone but time.

There was some formation broken, but mostly everything was intact, and it couldn't help but put a smile on my face. The last time's books didn't impress the master, but this time, the chances are greater with the large number of them.

I didn't waste any time and moved toward the shelf.

Twenty-seven hours later, I finished emptying all the shelves and even took the shelves from the hall.

The hall was completely empty, I had not even left the furniture.

Click!

With everything collected, I opened the door and was relieved that there wasn't anyone waiting for me.

I stepped out, and the door was closed behind me.

I walked out and soon reached the other door and seeing it was locked; I moved for another door on my list and saw it was locked, too.

I sighed.

There were over ten doors on my list, but I was only able to get one door and I could be said to be lucky because I got the one of things I had wanted here.

Others who had come had left cursing, there is nothing remained for them.

Still, I wished there would have been something more. Some material things, like the alchemy lab; I really wanted the things inside it.

It would have helped me a lot.

I shook my head and began to descend from the building. I wanted to fly out of the cracks, but that is risky, many unfortunate souls are coming here for the treasures, and I might get discovered by them.

Five Grimms and two natives later, I got out of the building and looked at the map.

It was disappointing, and I wanted to look for other places. There are many here, but tossing that idea away.

I have stayed enough and could be said; that I have got things that I wanted, and it is time to leave the pale city.

I could use the way I had come to leave or choose a different way. The way, I came would be safer, since I knew it and knew all the hiding spots and dangers, but it also would take quite along.

There was not much thinking about seeing. I had enough time here and would like to get out as soon as possible.

I am taking a short way, which would take me out of this place in two to three days. If I take the long route, it will take a double of that.

With my mind made up, I began to walk and didn't stop, even when I saw a Peak-Earth Sovereign Grimm walking in the same direction as me; it was the same Grimm; I had seen a day ago.

I don't know why he stayed a day here. Maybe he might have found something.

That couldn't help but make my eyes shine before the disappointment clouded them. I am no match for the bastard; all the Grimms and natives came here, I was not a match for them, not even a single one.

Which is another disappointing part; especially when I am so close to the limit.

Two and a half hours passed, and I had only stopped once to pick the rare plant. I had not stopped when the Sky Sovereign Grimm flew a few miles away from me.

It was moving toward the circle; that had made me smile. I wonder what it will do when it comes to a huge disappointment.

Hun!

Another few minutes passed when suddenly, a smile appeared on my face. I turned to the sharp right and avoided the few dangers and soon I saw the Grimms.

There are two of them; both High-Earth Sovereigns, without bloodline.

Well, I didn't care; it had been a while since I had a Grimms in my core and I wanted some.

I wanted to attack them immediately, but instead; I decided to follow behind very closely since we were still in the sensory suppression corruption zone.

They weren't able to sense me, even when I had come really close to them.

I followed behind them for over five minutes, before coming out of my stealth.

"I have to say, for such powerful Grimms. The soul senses of both of you are pretty weak," I said to the Grimm, the moment I removed the stealth.

They stopped immediately and turned before looking at each other.

A moment later, both of them ran in different directions at an incredible speed. I didn't stop them and just walked to the left, at a casual speed.

Thud!

A second and a half later, both of them stopped at the same time and fell to the ground. With shock and horror in their eyes.

Since I had bound two people with my strings; I have been experimenting with it. The strings are extremely powerful, and it would be a waste if I didn't use them at their full potential.

Puch!

Soon I reached the Ratman and burst out with my full power. A moment later, I pierced my sword into its chest.

I did the same to the werewolf a couple of seconds later, before sending it to my core.

"Well, it was not all disappointing," I said with a small smile and resumed my journey.
