Monster no Goshujin-sama

31. Even if the story

31

With Kudo's company, monsters on the road are no longer an issue.

If we meet, Dora will assault us, and whoever comes to the rear guard will be defeated by Kudo, and I will still deal with whatever pops up.

In some cases, the use of "left arm" was also taken into account, but there were no such occasions.

"Hehe. We still seem to be compatible."

It was Kudo's word after the fight.

"... set aside whether it's compatible or not, you've got a good division of roles"

"Yeah, it feels good to be able to fight together."

"I think it's a good thing you're not stressed out."

It's a conversation I don't know if it's meshing or not, but Kudo seemed to enjoy it.

Nevertheless, dozens of minutes had passed since we joined and Kudo had seen a bit of fatigue while walking across the battle.

Unlike me, I can't use Kudo to strengthen my physical abilities by magic.

Yet the body itself doesn't look very sturdy either.

Instead, there was even a thinner feeling of fleshliness than when we met.

Kudo also kept traveling all the time until he met me, even though his health was less drained from the beginning.

I can't let you do much about it.

"Time to take a break"

"You're still okay."

But when I made the suggestion, Kudo said no with ease.

"I guess it's time to rendezvous with my family. If that's the case, then Hugh's going to be fine."

The Roses seem pretty close, but the rendezvous wasn't there yet.

This place is like a maze, and it's not weird if this happens.

That's only a matter of time, though.

"Okay. Just tell me when you get tough."

"Yeah. Whatever."

"Kato, too. If anything happens, don't hesitate to tell me."

Keep your voice on Kudo, go on, and drop your eyes on Kato, who held him in both arms.

So I leaned my neck.

"Mr. Kato?

She looked down and seemed kind of depressed.

No. Is it right that I seem sorry rather than sorry?

The contrast with Kudo looks fun.

But I don't see what's making her look like this.

"What's wrong?"

"No. The..."

When I asked, Kato threw a glimpse at Kudo and Dora.

A thin, small shoulder blurred.

"... sorry, seniors. I can't help you."

The words showed what she was sorry about.

Apparently, my conversation with Kudo about the fight has depressed me compared to my current situation.

Indeed, unlike Kudo, Mr. Kato is not directly involved in the fight.

Nevertheless, that was not equation with not being involved in the fight.

"What are you talking about? Earlier, healing magic would have cured my injury."

"That's..."

"It's important. I can't use healing magic. It's a big difference when you have to have the means to treat it."

As I gained as much power as I could in melee combat, she came into this world and then worked hard to master the magic of recovery.

For its value, it makes no difference.

If not, it's just a different role.

"I do what I can. That's how we've always made up for each other."

I care about the fact that I have done so, so I am not lost in the words I utter.

"Same thing this time."

"... Yes. Senior. Thank you."

Her eyes lowered, and Kato smiled.

He still seemed a little powerless, but he seemed to be able to regain his mind.

I stroked my chest down.

This bunch will get back on track, as long as we rendezvous with everyone.

That we just happen to need direct combat power right now.

Because we don't have enough power.

If I were stronger, I could also say that Mr. Kato would not have been depressed.

I was just renewing my wish to hold on, and I noticed the gaze I see here.

Kudo was watching the interaction.

"What?

I realized that the tone of asking so had only slightly hardened.

That's because I was seen interacting like this outside of my body - what a pleasant reason.

I have a sense of emotion for Kudo, but I didn't forget what he was like.

Kudo has been in a good mood ever since we met, but that's only because he's obsessed with the existence of me.

The essence of it is even more horrible and sad.

- Hate doesn't go away. I can't wipe my grudges. I can't forgive you.... can't be forgiven.

- Oh, yeah. There's no way you can stop. That is unacceptable.

That's what Kudo said before.

Those were words from the bottom of my heart.

The hatred that scorches its self continues to burn.

And right now, besides me, Kato is the only one here.

The family wouldn't have raised any problems, but she's human.

It was around there that I was worried about in acting together, and there was something I didn't know how to get out of Kudo.

You may turn to malice, hostility, expose discomfort, or go into forceful action.

It's natural for me to get better than I was so afraid - that's why I clapped myself out.

"No. Nothing"

Because Kudo said so lightly.

"I was just looking at you because I thought you were close."

It does not appear to include anything in particular.

The Demon King, like just a boy, remained in a good mood and smiled.

There is no reason to lie here.

It felt like I was saying it from the bottom of my heart.

The demon king who tried to destroy the world had no intention of killing Mr. Kato.

This one too.

That attitude, which seemed contradictory at first sight, made me open my mouth.

"... hey Kudo. You said you came to the capital because this is the center of the world as it is."

"Yes, it is."

"What do you want?

I've questioned it before, but there are many doubts about Kudo's behavior.

He seems to be accumulating power, but he doesn't look like he's attacking people indiscriminately.

I have also heard that, at least, no hatred was directed against the people of the villages in crisis as a result of the actions of the exit groups.

Because I don't seem to have any bad feelings for Kato right now.

Kudo's intention to kill is not indiscriminate.

I used to interpret such attitudes as a result of hesitation.

That was different.

But what does Kudo want after all?

I can't see that place.

"Seniors..."

Kudo pulled in a grin.

I'm going to stare at this one.

I am not out of my sight.

Only the footsteps sounded in the aisle for about ten seconds, and Kudo leaked his exhale.

"... what do I want to do?"

On Kudo's face, he smiled again.

Most importantly, it looked a little different than the alkaic smile I don't know what I usually think.

"Let's talk about it."

"Kudo? What..."

"It's a common story. Listen to me."

When he prefaced with it, Kudo even said.

"Here, suppose you had the worst dictator. You went back in time and met him face to face with the baby. By killing him, you can save many people who will be killed in the future and eliminate their misfortunes. Now. Is it right to kill a future dictator who is only an innocent baby yet?

It was the kind of question I'd heard somewhere.

But there was something really looming there.

"I think I have a lot of opinions. I'm not going to have an argument. Just..."

With a smile that wasn't even laughing at this, Kudo said.

"In my own opinion, I don't think evil should be tolerated"

I even felt something a little barometric, maybe because it seemed like all of Kudo was there.

Nevertheless, the intention could not be read.

"... you mean it's justice to kill?

"No. No."

When I was lost, I asked, and Kudo waved.

"No, seniors. Right and justice are different things. And what you need to exchange isn't always the right thing to do. Even seniors aren't trying to protect their people because it's right."

"That's... yes"

"The act of killing a future dictator is an indisputable evil. Whatever the reason. I think so."

It was a narrative that grabbed the clouds.

I can't touch the core of Kudo Lu.

Or is that what everyone is?

Perhaps the only person who can do that is Kudo's roots as the current Demon King - those who have been there for the occasion.

But is there someone like that?

Without it, no one will know what the Demon King intends to do until the end.

"Ha. Don't overthink it."

Kudo said with a laugh.

That graspless look was back to the usual.

"It's just a chat."

……

Sure, it must be a chat.

From the beginning, this discussion doesn't change anything.

That's why Kudo talked.

I know.

But......

"I don't care what I think. I am a demon king who resents the world. It's just that."

"That's not true"

I pinched my mouth.

I thought I had to.

Because there was something else I knew, even if I didn't understand Kudo's intentions.

"Even if that's all for you, some of you don't think so."

I had an exchange of words with Dora today, and once again I figured it out.

It's about that healthy wolf, Berta.

She is not like any other subordinate.

I hope it will at least be saved at the end of the Lord, who will continue to run until that time of ruin and will end in disillusionment and despair.

I don't know what makes her do that, but at least, that would be an unlikely devotion to just recognizing Kudo as the Demon King.

Even if I couldn't change the way I was talking to Kudo, I felt I had to at least tell him around.

"Some of them want you to save them."

"... you mean Berta"

Kudo soon realized who he was talking about.

It was unexpected, but I might have figured it out thinly.

"Was that what you were thinking..."

That said, Kudo smiled bitterly.

"Totally. That's really, really hard to do."

Say terrible things.

As before, the Demon King was cruel to a healthy subordination.

But when I saw the look on his face, I was being poked into the void.

Because Kudo was rare and he looked like he was in real trouble.

Perhaps he hasn't noticed.

If I had noticed, I wouldn't have given you such a defenseless look.

I might have thought a little more time to figure out what this was about.

But before that, things moved.

"O king. Be careful."

Dora raised her alarm.

His eyes were sharply gazing in the direction of progress.

"Someone is down."
