I appear in my living room with an annoyed expression. I look out the massive window to see the evening sun begin to fall.
I roll my shoulders as I turn around walking into my bedroom where I left the goth Tamaranean. Walking into my room my brows raise in surprise. I see goth is on the bed beaten and bruised while Ruby is laying next to her perfectly fine, both are sleeping soundly.
Ruby's eyes flutter open as she wakes up. She calmly looks at the girl sleeping opposite her slowly turning to me. As her eyes meet mine she shoots up leaning forward.
I give a teasing smirk "How bold of you to do it in my bed."
A pillow flys my way which I easily dodge "WE DID NO SUCH THING!" she yells with a bright red face.
The goth sits up slowly staring at me with a blank face "You're finally back after leaving me with this psycho all day?" She turns to Ruby looking her up and down a small smirk grows "I will admit though without the temper she would be a good catch."
A pillow slaps her face sending her back into the bed "YOU AREN'T HELPING THE MATTER! AND WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!?"
I smile as she jumps out of bed revealing that she is still fully clothed. She stomps out of the room in an angry huff. Steam seems to puff from her head like a comic book character.
*SLAM*
The door slams as the goth sits back up rubbing her red nose "What's her problem?" she asks groggily.
I shrug "Hormonal teens I guess. So… back to your reform"
She hugs her body, c.a.r.e.s.sing it sensually and over dramatically "Are you going to keep me as your slave? Will I serve you nightly as a bed warmer?" She dramatically hides behind the bed covers.
"Slavery goes against everything I stand for… and do you even deserve to warm my bed? You've done incredibly questionable things throughout your whole life." I say as I step towards her standing at the end of the bed.
Her dramatic expression falls and she looks at me bored again "What, are you going to do then? Council me?"
I sit at the end of the bed as I think for a second "Perhaps… that does sound fun…"
Her eyes narrow obviously upset "Is that all this is to you? Fun?"
I smile a bit as I meet her dark violet eyes "Of course it is. So what happened between you and Ruby?"
She rolls her eyes "I woke up. Saw her on the couch so I tried to leave. Next thing I knew there was a giant black scythe whacking my face and I was back on the bed. So then I went back out and tried to beat her up."
"Before I even got to punch her, her eyes went black and I was put to sleep. I only just woke up when you came in. I have no idea why she was sleeping next to me… You think she likes me?" A small mischievous grin shows on her face.
I shrug "None of my business. Speak. What is it you truly d.e.s.i.r.e?" I speak with Greed echoing in my voice.
Her eyes narrow as rage consumes her face "I want my seat as the rightful heir to the throne! No one deserves it more than me! I am the strongest! I AM THE CHOSEN!" Her voice fades as greed ends.
She looks like she is about to yell at me so I grab her face squishing her cheeks. "Don't talk, your voice annoys me. So the throne issue is why you have hated and wanted to kill your sister?"
She glares at me as she shakes her head no. I release her face letting her talk again.
She sighs "It's because Father and Mother always favored her. I was better at fighting. I was better at studies. I was better at politics! SO WHY?!"
"As the foremost expert on parental issues let me give you some advice. Stop caring." My calm voice leaks a tinge of anger. "Besides, didn't they marry Starfire off anyway?"
Her eyes narrow "They married me off too. I killed that perverted bastard the second he tried to lay a hand on me. That's beside the point."
"So then who do they want to take the throne if they married both of you off?" I ask curiously.
She rolls her eyes "Starfire would take the Throne and her husband would only be seen as a consort. So I took the opportunity before the wedding and sold my sister off."
I just nod along to her words "That sure sucks for you huh… So what do you want for you to start befriending Starfire? Power? Wealth? A worthless kingdom that means nothing to anyone but you?"
She scoots to the edge of the bed crossing her legs. "Hmmm, what would it take for me to love my sister? For her to grovel and beg? Noooo. For her to die? Perhaps…"
I roll my eyes "Girl, do you have to be so annoying. Just ask for something selfish, why must you make it about her despite her never doing anything."
Her eyes narrow at me "Never done anything? She was born, that is more than enough. I was ostracized by the political parties and told I was not meant to be born. That my black flames were seen as a bad omen."
"If it weren't for her I wouldn't have been an outcast. Once she was born with green eyes she was treated as a jewel by that fool Galfore. When the will of my parents declared the heir to the throne my treatment only got worse." I can hear her knuckles crack as she scrunches her fists.
My eyebrows in surprise, I didn't expect such a story. "I suppose anger is hardly ever born from nothing but you are still wrong. Your sister is not at fault for your treatment, they are."
She scoffs "So you want me to hold the entire 380 man council at fault and not my sister? While I have blamed them I will admit my anger at them was only secondary..."
Her grin quickly falls as she meets my cold eyes. "Of course. Not a single time have I hated my brother for plunging his sword through my heart. Micheal was only doing what he felt was right. What Father had told him to do."
"While your situation is different, the lesson is the same. Just because your sister is the reason for your suffering does not mean she is the cause. Focus your anger at the heart, not the arms and your aim will never miss." She shivers a bit under my gaze.
She hardens herself "I may be the most powerful Tamaranean warrior but I can not fight the entire army by myself… not without being hurt at least."
My eyes remain cold but I give a small smirk "I did offer you power did I not? How would you like to help me while I help you?"
She looks at me a bit confused but I continue "How would you like to become an Envoy of The Morningstar?"
