Chapter 34 Waiting for the Rabbit

“Wow! A monkey that big will probably take several years to eat!” Upon hearing Yi Han’s words, Chu Yaoer’s eyes lit up, her eyes opened wide, and her little mouth unconsciously opened into an oval shape.

"Miss Yao'er, don't make any sound for now. Let's listen carefully to the noise outside the cave. If the gorilla leaves, we need to go out and kill one or two wild beasts to replenish our strength." Yi Han moved to the right before moving his body away from Chu Yao'er's delicate body.

"Yes, these beasts are very bold and dare to eat humans. This time, let them taste the consequences of being eaten by us." Chu Yaoer raised the corner of her mouth and came up with a bad idea with Yi Han.

Without saying anything else, Yi Han listened carefully to any movement outside the cave.

After a while, everything outside the cave became quiet, with only the sound of the breeze and the clear and cheerful chirping of birds.

"Yi Han, the monkey seems to be really angry to death." Chu Yaoer asked, blinking her big eyes.

Yi Han lowered his voice and said, "Monkeys are always cunning. It's possible that they haven't been angry to death yet and are waiting outside the cave. Let's wait patiently for a while."

"Hey, this monkey has been fooled by us, how could it be cunning?" Chu Yaoer pouted and didn't care, sneering at the gorilla's IQ.

She was about to walk out of the cave with a big knife in hand to investigate.

Yi Han quickly grabbed her little hand, pulled her back, and said seriously: "Miss Yao'er, wait a moment."

"Okay, I'll believe you this time." Chu Yaoer returned to her original position.

A quarter of an hour later.

"Yi Han, so much time has passed and there has been no sound. The monkey must have been mad at you." In the dim light, Chu Yaoer raised her eyes and glanced at Yi Han. Without waiting for his reply, she walked towards the cave entrance.

Yi Han did not stop him, but frowned.

"This monkey has a deep hatred for us two. It has not made any movement for such a long time. Could it be that it really gave up and left?" Yi Han wondered.

He was a little worried, so he followed Chu Yaoer and walked towards the cave entrance.

"Hehe." Chu Yaoer gently leaned the big knife against the wall of the cave, crouched down, and slowly poked out her little head.

Yi Han stood behind her.

Suddenly, Yi Han's pupils shrank sharply, and he immediately moved, dropped his sword, hugged Chu Yaoer's waist with both hands, and pulled her back.

"What's wrong?" Chu Yaoer realized that Yi Han was hugging her and pulling her back, and she turned pale with surprise.

Just at this moment, there was a loud "bang" at the entrance of the cave, a large stone fell, dust was raised, and small stones flew in.

Yi Han didn't waste any time. He exerted force with his feet and flew backwards while holding Chu Yaoer.

Before he landed on the ground, a giant hand grabbed him.

Yi Han quickly retreated and suddenly felt something grabbing the sole of his left foot.

The next moment, the valuable shoes were ruthlessly snatched away by a big hand.

In an instant, the two of them fell heavily to the ground. Yi Han fell to the ground, pursing his lips. He fell heavily.

Chu Yaoer lay in his arms, not hurt at all.

After Yi Han's shoes were grabbed out, a roar was heard from outside the cave.

"Yi Han, this monkey is really cunning. He hasn't been angered to death yet. He's hiding outside and waiting for us!" Chu Yaoer heard the noise coming from outside the cave and was so angry that she gritted her teeth.

It turned out that the gorilla outside the cave had not left, but was lying in wait outside the cave holding a stone, waiting for them to come out so that he could smash them to death with one stone.

Obviously, this gorilla is a sinister "Old Six" who knows the essence of waiting for the rabbit to come to him.

When Chu Yaoer just poked her little head out, Yi Han noticed that the shadow outside the cave suddenly moved.

He reacted immediately and yanked the girl back.

Yi Han didn't want such a powerful helper to die in the cave after escaping into it.

"Miss Yao'er, if it's convenient, you can get up first." Yi Han was held down tightly by Chu Yao'er, with her little face pressed against his bare chest, feeling quite embarrassed.

Although he is a gentleman, he is also a normal man and cannot resist such repeated temptations.

"Okay..." Chu Yaoer responded clearly and quickly got up without any shyness on her face.

"Hey, Yi Han, where are your shoes?" Chu Yaoer had just stood up and seemed to see Yi Han's silk socks embroidered with exquisite flowing cloud patterns, so she couldn't help but ask in confusion.

"The monkey took it away." Yi Han stood up and smiled helplessly.

"Ah?" Chu Yaoer's eyes widened in shock, "Can that monkey's feet fit into your shoes?"

Yi Han was slightly stunned and was quite surprised by Chu Yaoer's words.

Before he could say anything, he saw the other person touching his mouth with his fingers: "Strange, you want to give it shoes, why only one?"

Yi Han wanted to say something but stopped, the corners of his mouth twitching slightly.

I really don't know whether this girl is really stupid or just pretending to be stupid.

After roaring for a while outside the cave, it returned to calm.

Chu Yaoer walked over vigilantly to take back the machete, and picked up Yi Han's sword.

After she walked back, she gently threw the sword to Yi Han, then turned around and yelled at the cave entrance: "Damn monkey, how dare you sneak attack me, if you have the guts, come in, I'll teach you a lesson!"

Yi Han took the sword, shook his head and smiled slightly, then turned to explore deeper into the cave:

"Miss Yao'er, it seems that we can't get out of here for a while. There is a faint light coming from this cave. Let's explore deeper and see if we can find another exit."

"Okay..." Chu Yaoer replied, turned around immediately and followed Yi Han.

The two men walked one in front and one behind, one tall and one short, crouching and groping slowly as they walked deeper into the cave.

After about twenty steps, we turned a corner and the light was much brighter.

After walking about ten steps forward, the scenery in front of Yi Han suddenly changed.

The cave suddenly opened up and revealed a completely different world.

It was quite spacious inside, more than ten feet wide.

There are several holes in the top of the cave, and sunlight pours down through the gaps, forming bright beams of light in the cave, making the entire cave appear quite bright.

There were withered yellow weeds on the ground, and some rotten broken wood, which seemed to have fallen from the top of the cave.

There are even a few traces of campfires, which show the age of the place. It is obvious that someone has discovered and entered here a long time ago.

In some places, Yi Han also saw some white bones, and he didn't know whether they were human or animal.

Looking further to the left, a clear pool occupied a corner of the cave. The water in the pool was deep and glowed faintly in the dim light.

By the pond, several thick vines, like trapped beasts in a cage, tried hard to climb out of the hole above, as if in an attempt to change their fate and see the light of day again.

Looking at the inner walls of the cave, some parts are stone walls and some are mud.

There was a large round hole in the soil, which was pitch black and the bottom could not be seen.

What made Yi Han helpless was that there was no other exit in the cave.

"Wow, Yi Han, I didn't expect it to be quite beautiful in here." Chu Yaoer inserted a knife vertically into the ground, put her hands on her waist, raised her head to take a clear look at the situation inside the cave, and exclaimed in admiration.

Yi Han did not reply immediately, but walked to the edge of the pond and pulled the vines.

The next moment, he frowned and his face became serious.

The vine was already extremely withered, and with just a slight pull it broke into several pieces and fell to the ground.

Yi Han did not give up. After he looked up at the top of the cave, his heart sank. He sighed and said, "It is beautiful, but it is a pity that there is no other exit."

I had thought I could use these vines to escape, but unfortunately this path was ruthlessly blocked.

"Hmph, I don't believe that cunning monkey would stay outside all the time." Chu Yaoer was not worried at all about this, but when she mentioned the monkey, a bit more resentment appeared on her round face.

After saying that, she swaggered around in the cave with the knife in her hand.

"ah!"

Suddenly, Chu Yaoer's tragic scream echoed in the cave.
