As I neared the martial hall the woman I asked wasn't kidding when she said it makes the other buildings seem unappealing.

It stood at 4 times the size of any other building on the street and was inlaid with shimmering golden lines swirling in mysterious patterns that seemed to mesmerize whoever saw them.

There were pillars at the entrance that made it seem as if you were entering a king's palace and should treat it with the greatest respect, which gave it a grand majestic aura as I walked towards the unblemished steps that led up to the huge open arch that led inside.

As I stood mesmerized a tall man in red plated armor came up to me and said "First time here? I can't blame you for looking like an idiot; I did too when I first got assigned here. Here take this pass, it records the number of times you visit the hall."

He handed me a small golden slip with the characters "Martial Hall" on them.

After he said it he walked back to his post and stood like he was before

This world must be pretty advanced I wonder why they need the information?

I walked up and entered and it successfully captivated me as much as the outside did; it wasn't so shimmering bright as it was outside, however, it was incredibly majestic. The floor seemed to be made by some type of green mineral that had some reflection qualities.

Meanwhile, the rest of the "hall" was wide open in a square-shaped area with a reception desk to my right. The entire space was filled with one bookshelf after another, and they all reached the ceiling.

"May I help you?" chimed in an older looking woman as she presented a service-quality smile.

"Sorry I was just admiring the space, I wanted to look for some work here. Do you need an extra hand?" I handed her the letter as I said this.

Her eyes transformed from an auto-pilot serviceman look into a serious one.

"Why, of course! Anyone with a recommendation from the Radiant family is extremely welcomed in the hall."

While she said this she turned slightly and pressed down on a tile on the reception desk.

When she turned back around there was already a man standing beside her with a serious and almost fierce look in his eyes, staring straight at me.

"Bernard we have a Radiant quality applicant worker here, how should his work station be situated?" she beamed with enthusiasm.

"Before I give you a post may I ask your name, sir?" his demeanor changed when he heard the word Radiant.

Damn if I would have known that old man was someone famous I might've asked for more! Although I actually didn't dare to, I still value my own life.

"My name is Keleman, I will be under your care, Bernard," I said with a light smile.

I need to seem as professional as possible...

"Wonderful! I wonder if Sir‌ Keleman would be happy to be the First Floors Martial Quality Elder?" he said respectfully.

Martial Quality… Elder? I don't even have 2 strength how could I be an elder!? I don't even know what that position is! Looks like I need to play it cool.

"This would be, of course, more than adequate Mr. Bernard. I am very thankful to be offered such a good position. The Martial Hall indeed lives up to its majestic name!" Flatteringly said.

I hope the pay is good for this acting if he doesn't find out I'm a total nobody it'll be all okay…

"Great! Morelia please take Quality Elder to his office" said Bernard

Damn, I even have an office, not bad! Thanks old man!

Morelia talked a bit after with‌ Bernard about something then brought me to the back of the hall into a transparent door. As we were about to step inside the slip in my pocket forced me away from the door.

"Oh, I am sorry Sir Keleman! Please hand me your Martial Slip for a second," she said while looking embarrassed.
