Shen Ruyi stopped when she heard her scream. When she turned she saw Ru Shi whining in pain as she holds her ankle while sitting on the ground.

"Ru Shi, are you okay?"

She worriedly asked as she approached her.

"It hurts."

Ru Shi looked up at her as she complained.

"Why are you so stupid? Who let you run in heels like a madwoman!'

Shen Ruyi scolded her but one can hear the self-blame and worry in her voice.

Ru Shi pouted as she looked at her.

"Isn't it, your fault?"

Shen Ruyi sighed

"Do you want me to go and call my cousin?"

"No...no. just help me. Don't you remember the first time we met?"

Ru Shi smiled softly.

Shen Ruyi looked away.

"No, I don't. Why will I remember it?"

Ru Shi chuckled when she heard her.

"Of course you don't. You don't remember how stupid you were chasing a butterfly"

Shen Ruyi turned to look at her.

"I wasn't chasing any butterfly!"

"Oh, so you remember. I thought you've forgotten."

"It seems you're not hurting. Then I'm leaving."

The moment she did. Ru Shi snorted.

"I wonder what your cousin will do when he gets to know you left me here alone."

Shen Ruyi turned to look at her.

Shen Ruyi was speechless.

Shen Ruyi folded her arms as she looked at her.

"Won't you help me from the ground? It's cold."

Shen Ruyi walked back to help her get up from the ground.

Ru Shi turned to look at her.

"Are you still angry?"

Shen Ruyi ignored her as she held her towards the bench in the garden.

After they sat down.

Shen Ruyi looked at the stars in the sky.

"Do you remember the promise we made when we were kids?"

She asked Ru Shi.

"Then why did you lie? Why didn't you tell me?"

Ru Shi sighed.

"I'm sorry."

She said as she turned to look at her.

"So if I'm not here today, did you ever think about telling me?"

Shen Ruyi looked at her.

"Hmmm. But I was afraid. Our relationship wasn't stable and I didn't want to give you hope.

If I tell you and the next day we break up. What will I do?

So I wanted to wait for the right time."

"Right time? Ru Shi, why do you always want to keep everything to yourself? Do you even consider me as a friend?"

They looked at each other.

Ru Shi sighed.

"First, you didn't tell me when your parents died. If I hadn't come back to China I'd have never known about it. You suffered alone. Now when you're with my cousin who was hurting you, you didn't tell me! Every time I asked you what's wrong you either lie or ignore the question."

Ru Shi bowed her head.

"I'm sorry. It just....."

Shen Ruyi interrupted her

"What?!"

"I don't want to be a burden on anyone"

Shen Ruyi snorted

"Burden? Are you stupid? I'm your friend Ru Shi. Friends are each other's burden. We promised each other to be there for each other no matter what. We'll never lie and we'll tell each other everything!"

Ru Shi looked up

"But you left. Everyone left me. They promised me to be there for me but they all left me alone."

She whispered softly.

Shen Ruyi sighed.

She shifted and wrapped her hands on Ru Shi's shoulder.

"You silly girl. I didn't leave you. You could have called me and I would have come."

Ru Shi blinked away the tears that were threatening to come.

"You don't have to act strong anytime. If you want to cry just cry."

"Who wants to cry. Big girls..."

"Don't cry"

Shen Ruyi interrupted her.

"They looked at each other and laughed."

Shen Ruyi patted her head.

"So have you forgiven me?"

Ru Shi asked with anticipation.

"No!"

Shen Ruyi looked away.

"I'll cook your favourite food for you and do a painting for you"

Shen Ruyi arched her brows

"What will you paint?"

"Errmmm..... that celebrity crush of yours"

"Yang yang?!"

Shen Ruyi asked excitedly

"Hmmm. But if you haven't forgiven me it's okay."

Shen Ruyi wrinkled her brows.

Ru Shi interrupted her

"What?"

Shen Ruyi glared at her.

"Fine! If you dare lie to me again. I'll not forgive you."

Ru Shi raised her hand in surrender

"Yes madam"

They looked at each other and laughed.

"So is my cousin that jerk who hurt you in Paris?"

A cold voice sounded behind them.

Shen Ruyi stiffened.

"Mu Chang. You... what are you doing here?"

Mu Chang looks at Ru Shi and scratches his head.

"Well, the lover boy was worried about you so he was searching for you."

Zhang Wei interrupted him

Mu Chang glared at Zhang Wei

"What? I'm telling her the truth."

Zhang Wei turned to look at Ru Shi.

"You know if he hurts you again. I'm always here."

He said as he winked at her.

Mu Chang frowned.

"I won't give you the chance."

He coldly said.

"Well, I hope so. See you around Sister Ru."

Zhang Wei waves as he left.

Mu Chang wrinkled his brows when he heard him

"Sister?"

He asked Ru Shi.

"Well fatty Wei is a kid"

Mu Chang frowned deeper.

"How old is he?"

He aske.

"Twenty"

Mu Chang opened his mouth.

He can't believe he had been jealous of a kid!

If Zhang Wei knew what he was thinking he'd have shouted at him

"I'm not a kid!"

Ru Shi had a bad feeling in her heart.

Ru Shi stood up.

Shen Ruyi raised her finger at her.

"You.. didn't you get hurt?"

Ru Shi smiled

She said as she ran to Mu Chang's arms.

Mu Chang playfully knocked her forehead.

She pouted

"What is that for?!"

Of course, Mu Chang wasn't going to tell her because he was jealous of a kid.

He changed the subject.

"Did Xiao Shen bully you?"

Ru Shi nodded

"You..."

Shen Ruyi looked at her speechlessly

"Well, then I guess I don't have to buy her the car anymore. How dare she bully you!."
