"Yuvi, do you remember the bet you made last year," Manya asked him in a low voice staring at the carpet under the table.

Yuvraj was sitting in front of her, staring at her he slightly furrows his brows he unravels his long legs, spacing a few inches in between his knees he leaned forward placing his elbows on the knees while intertwining the fingers of both the hands, he held his chin between his fingers.

"Yes." his voice was clear and calm but there was a hint of annoyance.

Manya knew, how furious he was on that day he doesn't like to talk about what happened at that time.

Even if he was the one who made the bet. It was questioning their friendship, she doesn't like it when some random people question him.

Manya heard his voice she lifted her head to look at him he was staring at her without any expressions on his face" That day when you said, no one is worthy enough to be your friend other than me." Manya paused for two seconds before saying," And if anyone doubts that, they can compete with me."

"So, What!?" replied Yuvraj without blinking.

Manya lowered her eyes unable to keep up with his intense gaze, she glued her eyes on the table between them.

She gulped to suppress her emotions, she said in low voice " And if I anyone defeats me in the exam you will break our friendship...for ever and...leave me...because you said 'only best deserves the best'." finishing her sentence her vision became blurred tears started to form in her eyes. She doesn't want to cry again so she blinked a few time, trying not to cry.

Yuvraj heard her clearly he even remembered every single word he said that day though he said that in his rage.

Manya summarized the whole matter.

There was a pin drop silence in the room before Yuvraj broke the silence after few seconds. "Did you failed?" his voice was deep and scary.

Manya felt a chill ran down her spine she lowered her head trying to hide her emotions. when he finished his sentence, a water drop from her left eye fell on her dress she answered him in horse voice "Yes, I ranked sixth."

Manya and Yuvraj attempted the different examination conducted by the top experts of their domains. Yuvraj attempted the examination for the technology institutions.

Meanwhile, Manya attempted for the design institutions. The exam date and the results declaration for both exam were on a different date and time.

The results of the exam for design institutions were declared at mid-night before yesterday. The reason for declaring the result at midnight is to minimize the rush on the website to avoid the buffering and in the worst case, it can lead website crashing which can further delay the processes.

Manya's result displayed at midnight but she saw her result in the morning. Totally shocked to see her result on the laptop screen she panicked thinking how to tell Yuvraj. Everything rushed in her mind.

After a while, she heardYuvraj knocking on her door inviting her for breakfast. She thought this is the last time, she'll be able to talk Or see him.

She felt a sharp pain in her heart like someone has ripped out the heart out of her chest. Her mind blanked out.

She didn't reply to him so he thought maybe she's still sleeping.

Yuvraj waited two hours for her over the breakfast but she didn't come.

He walked towards her room trying to open the door but it was locked he knocked the door and called her name a several time but there was no response.

He continued to call her, knowing that she is listening.

At around 11o'clock, his mother returned home he called her for help.

Yuvraj understood everything that happened, why she was scared not willing to talk or face him.

She didn't know, how to react to her unexpected result, she feared to lose him forever.

Yuvraj blinked his eyes, letting the breathe he was holding when he questioned her.

"Chinni!" he said gently.

Manya tightly gripped her dress with both the hands, out of nervousness tears burst out of her eyes.
