Hunter's P. O. V

I sighed rolling my eyes as Ryder came barging like he owned my home, and face-palmed at the sight of a bra over his white shirt.

"Honey, I m home!", He yelled happily as I gave him a blank glare.

"What the fuċk are you doing? And take that thing off right now", I growled lowly, feeling restless and bored out of my mind.

God, I miss Riley's non-stop blabber, and sėxily adorable antics, and beautiful face and laughter. Fuck, I feel so pathetic without her. Like I have no purpose. My wolf wanted to just leave everything and be with her.

'I m not going to talk to you until you let me meet mate'. Axel said to me suddenly and shut himself off making me sigh. He's such a drama king.

Why the fuċk am I acting like she's gone forever, calm yourself down Hunter, it's just for one day.

He smiled lazily. "Oh, you mean this?", He pointed at the... Thing... Before stuffing it with tissues and oranges.

"I found it at the side of the road, it looks cool, don't ya think? And also, I m trying to make a fashion statement like why can't guys wear bras? It is highly unfair and- and- Oh my Gosh, ok dude, fine, I m taking it off, jeeeeez dude it was just for fun! There I took it off! For fuċk's sake can you please stop looking at me like you are just about to eat me whole without blinking an eye"?

I stopped glaring at him, rolling my eyes before picking up my phone and ringing Riley. I was very anxious for some reason and I couldn't shake off the negative feeling which grew more and more as she didn't pick.

" Uh, dude, you should just calm down, my cupcake, honey drizzle, sugar munch, lifeline, sweet baby carrot, an- hey! Why do you have to glare at me all the time! Anyways, she told me your girlfriend has gone for ordering food so she can't pick up her phone, so chill your pȧntɨės down", He finished smugly, proud at the fact he could talk to his mate whenever he wants and I have to depend on this stupid electronic device.

"Where's Nico?", I asked changing the subject, not wanting to lose any more brain cells than they already are.

He turned serious, thank God!

"At the base with you know who, spying on her to see if she meets with someone or sneaks our new security map to anyone".

I smirked, " Perfect if she does ask him to let her, not interfere just observe".

He smirked back, "But why?".

"Cuz you made a very evil face like you have done some major plotting scheme so I didn't wanna feel left out, Ya know?".

I facepalmed myself.

'Nico?', I mind linked to him, better do it myself.

'Yes Alpha', his reply came immediately.

'Don't do anything, just observe, know about the rivals, and don't give yourself away'

'But she's handing our map to someone, I saw her stealing the map!'.

'The map's fake, that's all you need to know, for now, I will tell you later when I return '.

My phone started buzzing as soon as I cut off the mind link. It was Riley, so I quickly picked it up.

" Hey, peaches, I miss-", I paused myself as I heard some commotion going on in the background and the distant voice of Riley arguing with somebody.

Then I chuckled, my mate was a smart and wild firecracker, these humans are no match for her, so I don't need to worry much about her.

"Alpha? I think my mind links broken, I can't get through my honey bunch", Ryder complained as I rolled my eyes at the endearment.

"She's with Riley, obviously she shut it off, come on, let's go on a run".

I stood up and walked out, Ryder trailing behind me moodily. Time to let my wolf officially meet my Queen.

My huge black wolf ran freely and wildly in the deep forest, relishing in the warmth and scent of nature, narrowly escaping sharp twigs and branches. The sun was about to set so the weather was beautiful and warm.

I forgot how good it felt to just let go and run, the feeling of cold winding whipping in my face, the rush and adrenaline bursting in my veins. My wolf rolled on the ground relishing in the mud and sand, howling happily.

He perked up at the rough driving of a vehicle and started running towards it, sniffing hard. He stopped in front of a wild vehicle and I sensed Riley in it. Oh, so this was the vehicle she was being 'kidnapped' in.

My wolf panted excitedly as he finally got what he was nagging me for so long for. Ryder's brown wolf, Rodger, stood at a distance sensing his mate as well but unlike us, they have already seen and even gone on many runs together. Hopefully, Riley and I'll go on one soon.

Soon enough, she excitedly ran out of the car and started to play with my fur after a minute of observing. I saw Scar shifting and going with Ryder from the corner of my eye.

My wolf purred content with her pampering us, and howled in happiness, she looked so small compared to my huge wolf, and he nearly engulfed her whole when she sat on him, delighted with her non-stop chatter and presence.

My wolf pouted sadly as I asked him to shift back but the fuċker refused to do so. Riley wrapped him in a towel and a cat hairband, he looked like an adorable dog. He growled at me before sassily flipping his non-existent hair and making a sassy face.

'Shift back!'

'Uh uh, no can do'

'Axel, shift back right now, she must be getting out any moment now, do you want to stay like this forever?'

'Yes duh', he replied without skipping a beat.

'Shift back! It's easier this way and you know that too, it's just a small matter of time'

I quickly got dressed and went inside the kitchen to prepare for dinner and smiled when I heard her step out.

"Megi?", She shouted making my wolf pout in anger and sadness.

'she's calling for me you mf'

I ignored him, "Peaches? Who the hell is Megi?", I shout back and Axel scoffed in disbelief.

'Aw how cute, you don't know who Megi is? Ah you poor thing! BITCH YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO TELL YOU'

I focused on Riley's tight arm around my waist and smiled.

'Yea, smile and put me in misery you bastardo'

I switched our positions so she was pressed against my ċhėst, and kissed her forehead tickling her neck with my breathe. I smiled in contentment hearing the blissful sound of her laughter.

"I brought a wolf, named him Megi and the freaking dog ran away".

I just placed my arms around hers kissing her neck. "The wolfs are wild animals sweetheart, of course it ran away", I explained softly, and she rolled her eyes sadly.

'Oh really?' He mocked me.

"But i showered him, and gave him my towel, he was so selfish, fulfilled his purpose and left", she complained and my wolf punched the air.

'Those were the best moments of my life, my Queen'

I laughed kissing her face, "Its alright Riley, I will bring you many wolves".

She perked up at that looking at me with her bright eyes that I love and could stare at all day. "Promise?".

"Promise", and with that she placed her soft delicate lips on mine.
