In fact, Xue Lingqiao was not the only one reminiscing about their past. 

In the back garden of a luxury manor somewhere on the outskirts of the city, there was a man sitting on a chair, his face hidden in the shadows. 

He had not lived for over five hundred years, however he and Xue Lingqiao’s feud had been going on for more than a hundred years. 

When he had learned about the missing mummy, his subordinate, Detective Zhang, found that someone had made a false certificate in the black market, using the name "Xue Lingqiao". He couldn't imagine how the mummified corpse could be resurrected. Draining Xue Lingqiao's blood a hundred years ago failed to kill him completely. This was unexpected, but at the same time it made him inexplicably excited. 

There was a stack of documents on the small square table beside him, which Detective Zhang sent over last week. On it showed a list of all the books Xue Lingqiao has recently read in the library, as well as his search history. 

The two-page book list covered everything from social sciences, biological sciences, modern technology, newspapers, etc. What surprised him was Xue Lingqiao's online search history - Tian Jingzhi, Stem Cell Regeneration Research Center, Li Kunqing, Ye Chen, Li Yanzhi, amnesia, selective amnesia, partial amnesia, lost more than ten years of memory... 

Xue Lingqiao has forgotten him. 

What's more beautiful than when a prey would deliver themselves to the hunter… He had already laid out a trap, just waiting for Xue Lingqiao to throw himself into it. 

The phone rang, it was Detective Zhang. 

“Boss, everything is ready.”
