He then slowly sat up on the bed as he asked, "Why did you suddenly ask me that? Did someone tell you something?" He was really feeling suspicious about Nolan at this point.

Sui continued to stare at him as she said, "It doesn't matter."

Sui took a deep breath as she said, "Good. I am the only one you can trust. Whenever you have something troubling you, you have to tell me. I will take care of it for you."

Ethan felt moved that Sui was willing to do that much for him, though he wanted to know why. Was she doing it for him as a friend or…

"But if you lie to me, then I won't forgive you easily. Okay?" Sui said, her tone still sweet and low, though Ethan felt as if something seemed off about the way she said it but couldn't put his finger on it.

Still, this made him remember something and say, "Wait…That's not fair. If I am to tell you about my troubles, then you have to tell me yours too!"
