Wan Jia felt all her strenght leave her body. Lu Aotian reached out to hug her. "You would have to face it some day."

Wan Jia closed her eyes. "Where is my mother? I want to kill her!" How dare she have her with such an evil man? Had her brain been fed to pigs? Couldn't she find a better man?

Lu Aotian calmed her down. "Baby, I'm actually not entirely sure. You can ask your mother when you meet her."

She felt better and slightly more hopeful. What she didn't know was, it would not make sense if her father was someone else. His investigation had never been wrong. He only told her that to make her feel better. When the time came for Xia Rou to tell her, she would be more prepared to face the news.

When she was calm enough, she asked more questions. "Does he know?"

"You resemble your mother so he probably does."

"Then why does he hate me?"

"I wouldn't know. Perhaps it's because you refused to play his game..." and because he and Xia Rou are in bad terms. He left the second half of his statement for Xia Rou to tell her herself.

"I don't want to believe it. Can we investigate a little more?"

"Mmh."

Lu Aotian kissed her and asked, "I have already answered all your questions. Can I ask mine now?"

"Mmh."

"What exactly did Tyler tell you?"

Wan Jia felt it was nothing that should be kept from Lu Aotian. "He wanted me to cooperate with him. I don't know what he wants to do to General Yun."

"You agreed?"

"No."

"Good. I don't want you to send yourself into dangerous situations like those. You don't know what kind of person he is exactly. He might not necessarily have the same aim as us."

That reminded her of something. "Speaking of which, I'm starting to suspect that Tyler is using Yun Xuan. Isn't it strange? All this while they are not yet married and...he suddenly came to me, saying that the fake doesn't benefit him and he wishes to switch to the original."

Lu Aotian answered her expressionlessly. "It's been long and we are not married either."

"That's different. We are not yet married because we are waiting for me to reunite with my parents. Now that it could be General Yun...urgh...only my mother matters now."

Lu Aotian was still expressionless. "Then we should just focus on our relationship. Yun Xuan's relationship is none of your business."

The prices being offered were terryfying. It made one wonder whether they were trying to buy a jewelry set or a family treasure. However, Lu Enterprises was not just moved by money and still held onto them.
