Lin Ye was incredibly happy when he realized what his boss was doing. So she was trying to make Yun Xuan notice him. Although he had decided on giving up for the final time, he knew that he would never fall in love with another woman.  Yun Xuan was the first woman he had ever had eyes for and in his heart, the only one he would ever want to be with.

However, the same could not be said about Mrs. Blanc. "This is the problem with marrying an actress. You cannot even experience everything you want of your own life. I hope my Katy changes her mind when she is older and does become a pretentious actress like some people who stuck into the entertainment industry despite retiring."

It did not require genius brains to know who Mrs. Blanc was talking about. Lin Lihua was still shocked to hear such words from her.

Didn't Mrs. Blanc like her the moment they met? Actually, did she not idolize her for years and feel lucky to have her as a daughter-in-law?

People's speed of changing their minds was rather fast.

Either that, or Mrs. Blanc had always been a mean and bitter woman and was merely showing her true colors.

How strange. While Amy Blanc's view towards life was changed for the better, her mother turned from an angel to a devil.

When Amy Blanc's first hearing was held, the young woman had followed her brother's advice and pleaded guilty for illegally creating explosives. At the same time, she denied being Yun Jifeng's accomplice. She also said that they had only met coincidentally.

If one were to twist logic, what she said was not a lie. Yun Jifeng had used her indirectly. She had not willingly become an accomplice to him. Since Henry Blanc erased all the evidence of their meetings.

If not, why in the world wouldn't she see that Amy Blanc was at fault here? Must she push the blame to people who were only outsiders in this?

Alas, no one could possibly explain logic to an angry woman. It would only waste one's time and effort. Henry Blanc had tried to make her see things from the law's perspective and almost got beaten up by her, much less her, who was only a future daughter-in-law in the Blanc family.

"Will you leave me because my mother started hating and making things difficult for you?" Henry Blanc asked as he hugged Lin Lihua.

"Are you kidding me? How old do you think I am? Don't I know better than anyone who I will be marrying and who will be an outsider in our marriage?"

She was being incredibly blunt, but it was true.
