Chapter 46: Chapter 46 – The Little Girl in the Trunk

‘Swish… swish…’

In the dark, all quiet sounds were almost magnified.

It sounded like footsteps, as though someone was shuffling their way over.

Due to different body weights, it made sense that their footsteps sounded slightly messy.

In the dark, there were five men creeping towards the stopped car.

All of them were armed, and their target was none other than Li Tian.

They were all shocked to the core upon seeing Li Tian handle eleven men on his own, without any weapon.

Thus, their only choice was to use a sniper rifle against Li Tian.

Based on the sound of the bullet, they assumed that Li Tian was shot, but they didn’t know if he was dead or not.

Although these five men worked together with the other eleven people, they didn’t belong to the same group. Needless to say, they were definitely more skilful than the previous group.

Then, one of the men signalled into the distance before two others began to run towards them. Most importantly, they were carrying a huge box, which seemed like it was more than a meter long.

“Quick, hop on!”

They opened Li Tian’s car door and quickly put the box in the trunk. After that, they prepared to leave.

However, because the car key was still with Li Tian, leaving wouldn’t be so easy. If they wanted to leave, there was only one option, which was to reconnect the car ignition. This process would take at least 50 seconds.

What can be done in under 50 seconds?

50 seconds was more than enough to kill seven people.

Li Tian slowly moved his hand, but nobody noticed him moving at all.

Before they did anything, Li Tian jumped up and immediately strangled two of the men from the back.

How could Li Tian have possibly been shot by a sniper rifle? Needless to say, upon seeing the red laser, he immediately reacted and dodged the bullet.

He was only pretending to be dead, and applied some of the dead men’s blood on himself in order to lower their guard.

It was evident that this group was on a different level to the previous one. In short, this group was much more vigilant and alert, as they had a sniper rifle ready to shoot in the dark. As Li Tian didn’t want to be abruptly shot by the sniper, he knew that he had to attract all of them to one spot, and then attack.

Naturally, he succeeded. As soon as he made sure that no one else was on the lookout, he began to showcase his skills.

Even though these seven men were much stronger than the previous eleven men, they were no match for Li Tian at all.

Obviously, they were just like paper dolls in front of Li Tian.

Though Li Tian wasn’t sure about his limits, he knew that people with better techniques than him existed in this world. However, one thing he knew for sure was that these seven men didn’t stand a chance against him.

‘Clap clap’

Li Tian dusted the blood of the now-dead bodies off his hands, and immediately drove away in his car.

Although he killed today, Li Tian still had self-control as he didn’t see as much blood due to the darkness.

After driving on the road for a while, Li Tian began to hum, as if everything that happened was just hallucinations.

Li Tian didn’t seem to care much about this matter at all. After all, meeting those people was just a pure coincidence, and he wasn’t actually the target of those men. As usual, Li Tian chose not to overthink it as this matter had nothing to do with him, to begin with.

So, he didn’t care and continued to keep his chin up. If not, how could he survive all the years in Africa?

Sure, he could dodge bullets, but what about missiles? Anyway, all humans had their limits.

‘Whimper…’

Suddenly, Li Tian heard a weak voice, coming from somewhere nearby.

He pricked up his ears, and very quickly, he realized where the sound was coming from.

It was coming from the box inside the car trunk. That box would’ve never fit if it weren’t for Lin Yi’s huge trunk.

There was someone inside the box.

Li Tian pulled over by the roadside and opened the car trunk. He then took the box out of the car.

It wasn’t too heavy, perhaps around 50 to 60 pounds.

As soon as he opened the box, Li Tian was shocked by what he was seeing.

There was a little girl, whose mouth was covered by thick tape, and had both her hands and feet tied tightly.

The little girl’s tear-streaked face was as red as a tomato. Not to mention, her shoulder-length hair was also very messy.

Li Tian didn’t even hesitate and immediately began to untie the little girl from the tapes.

It must’ve hurt a lot when he tore the tape off her skin, so the little girl kept her eyes tightly shut. Her quivering body showed how much pain she was in.

Fortunately, Li Tian was quite good at this, but as soon as the little girl could speak, she burst into tears and exclaimed, “Please don’t kill me, okay? I’ll give you money, a lot of money. Just don’t kill me, please… Sob sob…”

Li Tian knew that he was really late, so he decided to head to the airport first. As for the little girl, he thought that he would figure a way to send her home after that, if not, he’ll go to the police for help.
