Hyojun paused before prompting Myunghee to continue, “And?”

“According to my uncle, those two trainees Kiwook Noh and Hyojun Ahn ruined his company. They apparently broke their contracts and left his agency. My uncle told me that they did horrible things to his business. He lost his biggest investor because of them and the rest of the trainees left as well soon after. Even those who already debuted through his company terminated their contracts…”

“So what?”

“So, my uncle and the rest of my family were ruined because of it. It happened so fast. The debt collectors came after my uncle, my mother, and myself; we had to run away and hide. I obviously couldn’t go abroad to study; I couldn’t even graduate high school. My uncle became an alcoholic, but thankfully, he got better and started a small guesthouse business in Bali. My mother and I somehow tried to survive in Korea, so we worked whatever jobs we could find…”

“And?”

“Luckily for us, one of uncle’s old friends ran an entertainment agency. President Kim. Your boss. He helped us; he helped my mom with her business and got me a job.”

“That’s how you started working as our stylist.”

“Yes… then recently, I got a phone call from my uncle. It had been years since I talked to him. He told me that one of The M’s members looked familiar. He said that even the member’s voice and the way he danced looked familiar…”

“Who?”

“He said… either Black M or Purple M. He said the member looked like Kiwook Noh.”

“And?’

“My uncle… he asked me to find out and let him know so he could leak the information to the media…”

“So he wants to sell the information to the highest bidder.”

“But when I saw the photo of that trainee…”

“Kiwook Noh?”

“Yeah. My uncle sent me the photos and videos of Kiwook Noh when he was a trainee… I studied them to figure out the truth, and eventually, I fell in love with him.”

“At this point, I don’t even care about my uncle. I’m not doing this for him. All I want is this person… Kiwook Noh… to like me. So…”

“That’s called stalking, which is illegal. You can’t force your love on someone. You are a criminal.”

“That’s not true!”

“Every stalker thinks that what he or she is doing is love, but it’s not. It’s not real love.”

“T-that’s not true!”

“Where are they?”

“What?”

“Where are the videos and photos of that trainee?”

It was clear that Hyojun was furious, so Myunghee hesitantly took out a USB from her pocket. Hyojun snatched it away from her hand and asked, “Do you have a copy of this? A backup?”

Myunghee cried and shook her head.

Hyojun continued his warning, “If any of the pictures or videos in this USB get released, I will make sure you get sued… And I am telling you now that none of us is that trainee named Kiwook Noh.”

Myunghee looked up with teary eyes and asked, “Do you swear?”

Hyojun nodded, “Yes. So tell your uncle that you checked all our faces and that trainee wasn’t one of us. That is the only way you will survive this mess. If you don’t do this… we will get the police involved.”

Myunghee, still crying, nodded.

Hyojun slowly opened the door and gestured for her to leave. He added, “Don’t ever come near us again or mention us online. Just disappear.”

Myunghee looked resigned as she left without a fight. When she turned around one last time to look at the members with tearful eyes, none of the guys looked happy. They glared at her coldly and silently.

After Myunghee left, Hyojun slammed the door shut. After a short silence, he threw the USB on the floor angrily and screamed, “Dammit!”

It was rare for Hyojun to show this much anger. He looked down at the USB on the floor and started stomping on it.

Hyunsuk watched calmly and commented, “It won’t break like that.”

Hyojun seemed to be getting angrier. He continued to scream, “That b*tch! She tried to hurt Hyoyoung! Did you see what she tried to do?”

When no one answered him, Hyojun ranted loudly, “F*ck! Jaehoon Shim? That bastard! I should’ve destroyed him completely when I had the chance! I should’ve ruined him along with the Rodent! I should’ve…!”

Kiwook, who was comforting Hyoyoung, came to Hyojun.

“Hyojun, getting angry isn’t going to solve anything at this point. You need to calm down.”

Hyojun looked up at Kiwook. He glared for a few minutes, then suddenly, he grabbed Kiwook. Hyojun shouted, “You are the cause of all this. Since the very beginning!”

Hyojun shook Kiwook angrily, and the other members came to them hurriedly and tried to stop the fight.

Hyojun continued to rant, “Everything started to go wrong the moment you stepped into my house. You!”

“Hyojun Ahn! You know that’s not true.”

“But I told you! When we were leaving that agency, I told you that bastard would try to do something against us!”

“But there was nothing we could do at the time.”

“You always have an excuse for everything! That’s how you are.”

Hyojun finally let Kiwook go but continued to rage.

“You are always like this. You start the problems, and even though you are the one responsible, you always insist on remaining clean and innocent. You want everyone to see you as a nice guy. You don’t do ANYTHING to fix the problem YOU caused, no matter how many people get hurt around you.”

To everyone’s surprise, it wasn’t Kiwook who fought back. It was Jiwoo who grabbed Hyojun and argued, “You bastard! You are the one who is the worst. You are horrible. YOU are the bad guy! You have no idea about anything. You claim that you are Kiwook’s best friend, but you don’t know anything about him. You know nothing!”

Hyojun asked angrily, “What is there for me to know?!”

Jiwoo let Hyojun go and replied, “What is there for you to know? You already know the answer, so why are you asking me?!”

Jiwoo shrugged his shoulders and added, “I’m going to go sleep in a hotel tonight. I think it’s best we spend some time apart. Bye, everybody.”

Jiwoo threw his mask down on the floor, put on his hat, and left the room. The door slammed shut loudly behind him, making Hyoyoung flinch. After Jiwoo left, Hyunsuk also threw his mask away and walked out too.

Only Hyojun, Kiwook, and Hyoyoung remained in the room.
