My cliché Love Story

As we got out of the car as a collective, I locked eyes with Zack we stared at each other for a while knowing what will happen after we graduate. Our gaze was broken by the happy gather from our two families occurring right in front of us.

My mom and his mom immediately start of the conversation as usual; 'Hi Belinda, how have you been? Are you excited for today?'

'Hello, I am amazing and, how are you? Yes, I am so exciting for my son how about you?'

'Good, very exciting. Can't wait either for my daughter to become an adult. I did bring some back up tissues just in case.' My mom says this as she secretively points at my dad and they both suddenly burst out in laughter, I noticed this a giggled to myself. I looked to my side where Zach was also laughing, this is surprising I have not seen him smile in for ever. He looked up and noticed me looking at him, we both looked at each other and immediately looked elsewhere. Meanwhile the twins and Jake immediately hit it of and where talking and running around and mu dad and his dad also getting it on.

'John how is business going?'

Good, our sales raised by 1.5% and we gained over a hundred customers. How about your business I saw the news congratulations on the big sponsor you got?'

'Oh yeah, that is good we need to get together again and create some action plans' My dad and his dad are very involved in each other's companies. 'The sponsor saved us because our biggest sponsor checked out and dropped us so that was just in time, I still want to get another big sponsor so maybe later. I also recruited a new big foreign customer yesterday. He finally agreed with my requirements, so we signed the contract yesterday. Yeah so, the business is going well. Yes, I need another one of your actions plans.'

This is what usually happens at these meet ups, they will talk and talk until finally they realise the time. Unfortunately, I was unable to stay and observe this magical moment because we still had to our mentor class one last time. We also needed to do another rehearsal so that the graduation ceremony can be perfect.

Finally, after five minutes I got my mom's attention; 'Mom I have to go now… See everyone later.'

Behind me I hear Zack telling the exact same thing but was distracted because I saw my only friend in the entire school. She was my best friend since high school, she knows me so well and understands me a lot. Let me tell you some more about her she is almost twice my size always comes to my defence and supports me unconditionally. She had black hair hazel coloured eyes and some freckles on her nose, she is so cute. We met in the beginning of high school, I do not really know how it happened it just did, and we just clicked right from the start. I almost forget she is the same age as me and her name is Lilly.

She notices that I noticed her already and we start to walk towards each other as we start our conversation.

'Oh, wow you look amazing Lilly' while she registers what I am saying she starts to take a twirl to show me all her beauty.

'Thanks, you look so good as well' I decided out of sarcasm that I would do a twirl for her to see all my beauty as well.

We both start to laugh after I did my twirl and hugged it out.

She says; 'So are you ready for this ready to become an adult?'

'It is okay a bit exciting but super nervous how about you?'

'Oh yeah I can't wait for this to be over so we can go and celebrate the end of our twelve you of torture.'

I glance back at my family to see if they are doing good and to my surprise, they started walking towards us. I search around for Zack, but it seems like he already left to go to his class.

Lilly softly whispers in my ear; 'Are you looking for Zack?' Instantly I turn red and shove her away

'No!'

My mom pops up to check on me; 'Darling we just wanted to say good luck for the last time because we are going to take our seats now with the Michael family see you later.'

Behind my family I notice my older brother James approaching with his wife.

'Thank you, you guys. See you later.'

Once they saw James my mom instantly ordered everyone to get a move on and off, they went to take their seats.

'Hi, my all grown up sister, come here.'

He gives me a hug and I lovingly gave him a tight hug; this is just what I needed to calm me down, back he whispers in my ear; 'soon you will also be walking with someone to these things hand in hand.'

Seriously you just had to make a joke like this at a time like this. I shove him away and politely address his wife, Lizzy, and I give her a gentle hug.

She returns my hug, but as she can read the atmosphere, she asks Lilly; 'Would you mind showing me where the rest of the family is Lilly'

'Of course, Anna I will see you at mentor class.'

'Okay see you later.'

We watch them as they find their way I turn back to my brother and let out a big sigh of relief.

'Thank goodness you are hear I thought you were going to be late.'

'Now tell me why on earth would I miss my precious sisters' graduation, I would never.'

'Thank you for being here it means a lot.'

'It is a pleasure' He puts his hand on my shoulder and looks me dead straight in the eye.

'Did dad give you that speech again, did mom give you advise and lastly just tell me did the entire family try to give you advice?'

'You know it, the whole lot, but it is alright I am fine with it.'

He stares with amazement on his face and says mockingly; 'Wow look at you all grown up. Amazing I do not even think you need any more advice…'
