My cliché Love Story

In this chapter I will basically be revealing the secret I share with Zack…

So, when I was in year 3, it was made clear to me and Zack that one day, we will be getting married. My parents and his parents both decided that they will take turns to visit each other, so that me and Zack can get to know each other more. Overall you know how it is, we were young and we did not fully understand the concept and it slowly started to fade from our memories. Until we were reminded of again; 'you two will be getting married once you turn 23 years old.' This is what was said to us back then by my dad, but this time we did not take it likely, when we were younger it was all good, but once we were able to understand the concept off marriage it all just collapsed.

I was the first to say something about it because by that time Zack started to act different. 'How can you do this to me dad, I want to choose my own husband one day and even before a husband I want to be able to have some boyfriends as well. Now I won't be able to.'

Zack's answer was so bleak yet very unexpected and strange; 'Well if it cannot be helped, I guess I can make some arrangements in my life plan and marry you at that age.'

He said this with the most generous yet fake smile on his face. I do not understand anything. Everything at the time was going so fast, it was all so confusing, and Zack was changing his personality completely, what was happening. I do remember though before everything was announced to us again there was this one night when his family came over and we were playing in my room, when some time passed, I fell asleep.

'Anna, I will always take care of you for the rest of your life and for as long as you need me, I will be by your side protecting you. This is why I decided that I will never talk to any girl because I want to be devoted to only you and beside other girls are annoying. They only see me for my looks and nothing else.' Zack whispered this to me in the most generous voice I have ever hear.

For you it might sound stalker like, but to me it is the nicest and cutest thing anyone has said to me. So, for me this is right up my ally. I think I might have forgotten but when my mom said that we will get married sooner I remembered. He probably now thinks I actual want nothing to do him, but now that I recall he did talk to me quite a few times when we were in school. I feel so bad now, why did I only think of myself all this time. Yes, and that is the big secret I share with Zack; we are having a marriage arranged by our parents. Anyway, let's get back to the current situation

The sound of my mom saying these words kept resonating in my ears. What do I do now, all my plans will go down the drain? Just before my brain switched to over drive my mom just had to include some more ideas in this agreement.

'That is not all, in order for you two to have a successful marriage like us proud parents we are sending you to an island overseas for a two week get to know each other spree. Isn't it exciting!'

My mom's sparkling eyes waiting in anticipation for our answer, but before I could give the rudest answer ever, and when I was about to enlighten the entire dinner in on my opinion, but was unable to because I felt a big masculine hand grabbing mine under the table. 'We will be honoured, thank you guys.'

I stare at Zack with furious anger why did he just do this, why?

Zack suddenly came up with yet another perfect line to say; 'Well everyone will you excuse us we need to go and talk about this amongst ourselves…' No believe me when I say this to you, this was definitely not the end of her plan or their 'amazing' ideas.

'Oh, just before you go there is more…' There was a long pause before she continued, and a grin appeared on her face. 'Well you see starting tomorrow you both will be living in your own home together, and a week from now you will be going on your trip. You see…' She takes out two plane tickets to and island called Bora Bora… 'In a weeks' time you will be flying to the amazing island of Bora Bora. Here you will stay for two weeks and when you come back you will continue to live together.'

Now I am fuming, seriously they have made this decision all by themselves and have not consulted us just even once, or even just asked for our opinion. I hear to my side Zack's voice; 'Yeah certainly if that is all. may we be excused?'

My mom instantly replies with a nod and of we went. To me it seemed so funny that he keeps taking the lead or caring for me when I am unable to do so for myself. It feels as though he completes my incomplete parts, or it is like he makes up for what I lack.

'Do what, I just replied properly, it is different from what you can say, it looked like you were about to explode.

'Don't you dare…'

As I am about to say my sentence I realised that it was a full moon and with him standing there it looked all too perfect, his eyes his body everything looked perfect I so badly want to take a photo or even better kiss him. No… Kiss him… No wait what? That is not what I meant why did I just say that…

'Hello are you still in this conversation?'

'Of course I am, I was saying do not dare to judge my personality or anything about me, okay. I know you always hang out with popular kids at school, but sorry to disappoint you, your bride to be is not perfect'

He stares at me in amazement; 'You just called yourself my to be bride did you hear… It seems like you are not rejecting the idea that we get married. Well How can I be so silly of course you would not look, at me who wouldn't want to be married to me?' He sneers down at me with a grin on his face.

'Come on seriously, you are going to play that card already' I simply just stare at him with disgust…

I am just joking, back to what you were saying…'

I immediately cut him off because I suddenly remembered what I was talking about… 'Seriously do not change the subject. Anyway, why did you do that, although it was nice and I appreciate it, but still we need to also have a say in this. Why are you stopping me, we need to give our opinion as well?'

Just before I could continue on with my ramble he kissed me…
