My Destined Werewolf Mate

It was around 9 pm. The more time was floating by, the more the dusky clouds were bulking up in the horizon. A growling sound of clouds had already begun indicating that it could start raining at any moment. The whole atmosphere had a sullen appearance compared to the other days when the ambiance is usually jovial since it's the springtime in Rione Monti.

Holding up tighter sleepy and snuggling Eva on his broad back shoulder, Zeus was walking down gallantly towards the way leading straight to her home. Soon enough, he reached near her apartment complex in a moment. He took a deep huff of breath out looking at the building and glanced back at her sleepy face. 

"Eva, wake up. We are already near your home." In a soothing voice, he tried to wake her up from her snooze.

"Umm, I don't...wanna...go home..." An unclear, tipsy reply came back from her in a frail tone.

"But why?"

"I am... sick of being...alone...all the time... I...don't want to be alone again... Stay...Stay with me, Zeus..." 

A wave of profound guilt and sadness rose inside his heart hearing her morose answer. The major reason behind her lonely and empty life was his lineage, this part had been always churning him inside down helplessly.

"You...You aren't alone, Eva. I...I am willing to give up my everything just to be with you..." His voice grew a bit thick while mumbling to her.

"Stay here with me... Don't...leave me alone...again..." She further clenched her arms around his neck, snuggling her head on his shoulder.

Unable to come up with an answer, he stood still for a few seconds wondering about what to do next. Taking a deep sigh out, without being able to come up with an alternative plan he gripped her tighter and started walking upstairs heading straight to her apartment. 

While climbing up, as soon as he reached the first floor and was about to ascend towards the second floor, a stern-looking lady comparatively in her early 50's, i.e her landlady Mrs. Lily, dashed out of her apartment on the floor and encountered Zeus sharply.

"Excuse me? Who are you? I have never seen you coming here even once to her house, so what are you doing today at such a late hour? And..." Stiffly she peeked at unconscious Eva snuggling on his shoulder and frowned her face. "What happened to Miss Ricci? Why is she clinging to you? I won't allow you to go ahead without hearing a convincible reply!" She sounded too nosy, glaring at him.

"Ahh, why do these humans always test my patience?" Wondering inside while sighing out a bit heavily, he boldly turned at her, confronting her head-on. "You won't allow me to go to her place?"

"Not! Your intentions are already skeptical for me, so it's better if you answer me properly or...I am going to inform the police!" She tried to threaten him in a rugged tone, constantly peeking glance at Eva.

"Alright. You left me with no choice." Holding a witty smirk, he fiercely rolled his dark eyeballs which immediately transformed into dominant bright red color while she was glaring at him already. As soon as her eyes were pinned intensely with his gaze, her whole body movement paused and in a fraction of a second, she turned out to be numb like a statue. 

Zeus continued glaring at her for meanwhile with his bright red pupils swirled on. After a matter of few seconds, his eyeballs returned to their usual black form, The old lady immediately got down on her knees on the ground before him, bowing her head downwards as soon as he stopped glaring at her. 

"Ma...Master! For...Forgive my impudent behavior... Please forgive me, master!" She was chattering out constantly, towing her head down in an anxious tone.

"So, do you still wish to report me to the police?" He seemed quite amused to watch the lady begging down on her knees for his mercy who was threatening him invincibly just a moment ago.

"I would never think of daring to commit something dreadful like that! Everything on this world belongs to you, master... including our lives. Please forgive my impudence... please be merciful." She sounded extremely palpitated, folding her arms were fidgeting in dread.

"Only on one condition. Always bent down on your knees and be polite, bowing your head down whenever you see me or Eva here from now on... When I am not here around, it will be your responsibility to look after her. You will have to serve as her slave from now on. Do you accept it?"

"Of course, Master! I will be her slave forever till the moment I die!" She towed her head down again, proclaiming in a bold voice.

"Good for you. As long as you obey me, you will keep living." Chuckling with a pleasant expression, gallantly he continued walking upstairs towards her room leaving her behind kneeling.

"Thank you, master...I will...I swear I will serve her with my life..." Her voice resonated too meekly as if she was grateful to revive back her life, bowing consistently to express her gratitude.

"It's just a piece of cake for me to hypnotize these weak humans! But I still do wonder, why my hypnotization didn't work on Eva? Why is she way too special?" Stealing a glance at her innocent small face, unknowingly a wide grin appeared on his face while he watched her snoozing peacefully. As he softly caressed those fine hair threads whirling on her face with one arm, on the other hand, he slightly clutched the doorknob to loosen it up and enter her place. 

Her apartment was quite tiny compared to the gigantic mansion of his own, but he found a strange kind of solace inside. The place was dark since all the lights were turned off but it was warm and neatly decorated. 

Taking a glance around in the dark with his sharp eyes, he steadily walked towards the bedroom taking giant footsteps ahead. Her bed seemed smaller compared to his own. Entering inside, carefully Zeus dropped her down on the bed placing the cushion on her head softly so that she can sleep amicably. 

But as soon as Zeus tried to move away from her after putting her down on the bed, in a fraction of a second Eva grasped his shirt, flinching her a bit.

"Eva, you are awake?" 

"You...are leaving? Don't go... Sleep here with me..." She tapped on the bed with one arm while clutching his shirt tighter. Her frail voice sounded much tipsy at that moment while she was peeking at him blinking her long yet beautiful eyelashes.

"Eva, I...I am not leaving. I will stay here and sleep on the couch outside. Don't worry about me," he seemed a bit nervous tenderly trying to unleash himself from her grip.

"Why...are you...pushing me away, Zeus? We love each other... I know...you want me too...just the way I do... Then what's the barrier between us? Why are you holding...yourself back?" Her voice sounded much acoustic while she stared straight into his eyes being boldly persuasive.

With every passing moment he was growing more nervous and all of a sudden, he clenched her arm intending to halt the temptation blooming in between them. She was drunk and not in her right mind so he chose to be a bit rigid, facing her.

"Eva, an inevitable barrier is indeed lying between us...I won't touch you till the day you accept me for who am I... I will be waiting for you till then." His  tone reverberated like a deep echo inside her dark silent room.

"Zeus...why are you--"

"Eva, please! For heaven's sake, please don't tempt me anymore. I am worried, I won't be able to hold myself any longer apart from you. I...I am a man after all!" Gripping her arm tightly in his grasp, Zeus muttered in an intense tone, ogling at her dazed eyes. She was breathing very heavily and slowly after his command, she closed her eyes going back to her slumber following him obediently.

As soon as she closed her eyes, Zeus took a deep sigh out and lowered his gaze down near his crotch. Indeed, he felt an uncomfortable sensation of a bulge formed around his crotch, and hastily, he loosened up his necktie. Taking off his suit and unbuttoning his shirt collar, he stared at her sleepy face, fanning hard.

"Damn, it's too dangerous to resist her charms especially when she is drunk... I...I won't behold myself back anymore if this continues... I am feeling darn hot, I must calm myself down. I need water..." Glancing around the room, his gaze was seeking some water which was nowhere found. 

Stepping up from her bed, steadily he headed straight towards the kitchen coming out of her room. As he stepped into the living room, he turned the lights on and found a round vessel of water placed on the table near the couch.

He was about to take a step towards the jar but all of a sudden his gaze locked on the giant family portrait hung in the center of the living room, consisting of four innocent smiling faces gazing at him.

Immediately his feet halted, his eyeballs were swirled wider in shock and dread! His head started to feel dizzy and his motion staggered as if he was about to collapse down on the ground! Panting heavily, he murmured on his own, " No... It... It can't be... No... No!!"
