My Destined Werewolf Mate

An absurd, deep silence persisted between Zeus and Eva as their eyes locked into each other, gasping heavily. She seemed shocked, petrified with the unexpected revelation of his real self. Somehow, the gaze she had directed towards him was filled with horror and disgust as she kept gawking at him forgetting to blink her eyelashes for a moment.

The situation was turning more and more intense between both of them while they stood facing each other a few meters apart. Never in his mind, he had dreamed once to be exposed in such a manner right before her eyes which led to the throbbing of his heart in fear. Twitching his canines, he swirled his illuminant red eyeballs before breaking their bitter silence.

"Wh...Why did you come back? Why are you here again, Eva?" Looking extremely perplexed, Zeus growled at her in a displeased voice. His gaze seemed sullen with a glance of fear immersed within them. From his gesture, he looked restless fidgeting his claws.

But it seemed as if a prodigy of silence had possessed Eva completely. She was absolutely numb, gawking at him opening her eyes wider. Her gaze was perturbed as if she was still striving hard to process the harsh reality standing before her own eyes. Her throat was suffocating with a surge of despair but for a moment, she even forgot to shed her tears!

"Ahhh, so this bitch is back again!" Exclaiming in a jovial voice, Beck clenched his paws and whirled his monstrous black eyes at her. In the flash of a second, he gnashed his jowls and tried to dash fiercely targeting her.

Quickly enough Zeus discovered his heinous intention and before he could approach her, he rushed towards him attacking him prior. Pinning him forcefully down on the ground he choked his throat with his firm grasp while he continued struggling vigorously to free himself from his confinement.

"EVA! DON'T JUST STAND THERE! RUN AWAY! RUN!" Looking madly concerned for her safety, he peered back at her once more, panting heavily. His loud desperate echo reverberated the whole dark woods amidst that murky night.

"LEAVE ME...GAWKK!" Beck shrieked out in a gibberish tone, forcibly trying to thrust him away from him, ogling maliciously at her.

But it seemed Eva had already turned out to be deaf and dumb in extreme shock facing the painful reality. She didn't utter a single word and stood like a motionless object observing the intense chaos happening right before her. After a few seconds of anticipation, her legs gave upon the strength as she plopped down on the ground looking absolutely devasted, lowering her eyes down.

"EVA!?" Zeus screamed out again but before he could utter his remark, Beck pierced his poisonous sharp fangs deep inside his arm in his desperate attempt to free himself from his clutch.

With the sudden painful bite attack, Zeus was startled a little but immediately he shifted his fury gaze back to him on the ground.

GHAWP!

Tightening the grip around his neck, fiercely he shoved his razor-sharp claws straight into his abdomen as dark reddish-black blood splattered all over his face and body. Beck released his canines from his arm and his body quivered in pain as the claws tore his insides making a slushy sound.

"I know it well...who has sent you after Eva... But you should have assessed your strength before targeting the love of an alpha, bastard!" He whispered under a dubious sonorous voice, glaring his dominant red eyes at him taking his claws out of his abdomen.

"BUHAHAHHAHHA!"

All of a sudden in a striking loud pitch, he started snickering hearing his dubious warning. Surprisingly, the muscles and tissues on his abdomen where Zeus had shoved his claws inside started to heal on their own miraculously. Scrunching his eyebrows, Zeus continued glaring at the perilous sight.

"Did you think...you would kill a hellhound like me so easily? Haha! Such a moron alpha you are..."

Snorting with a sly chuckle, in the flick of a second, he flung his shimmering silver claws straight in the air towards his face to shove him off from his body that was pinned down. Promptly, he dodged his abrupt attack meticulously and pushed him in the opposite direction away from where Eva was still ceasing down on the ground.

"No matter what you aim off...an alpha will never allow a lowly beast like you to touch his sacred love!" He grumbled out, caressing his blood dripping arm where he had bitten him tearing off a piece of flesh. The hellhound poison was gradually affecting his body arising a stinging pain all over his firm body but he chose to stand still as the guard wall, protecting her with all his might.

Beck stood up from the ground, smirking devilishly and wiping out the blood droplets dripping from the corner of his mouth. Sneakily he stole a look at Eva who was still sitting all motionless on the ground and a vile wide smile appeared on his face. "It seems to me...that your woman is in a dismayed state watching your monstrous form which is drastically opposite from your usual handsome appearance! Damn...this human must be regretting her life choices--"

"Don't you dare look at her! Or...I might tear out your eyes from the socket!" Furiously tensing his jowls, he snapped at him.

"The way you are protecting this human, is she even worth of it?" A wicked smirk escaped his lips as he shifted his eyes straight on Zeus, twitching his arms and taking a step forward. 

"You bastard... I will rip out your annoying mouth first!" Gnashing his canines in rage, Zeus dashed towards him at the speed of light but meticulously Beck was digging his attacks by shifting his body positions flexibly.

Intensified with the assumption that he was heading straight to approach Eva, he distinctly observed his motions for a few seconds with his sharp wolf gaze. In a quick spree, when Beck was trying to approach her, Zeus forcibly grasped him by his shoulder and in the flick of a second, sliced out his throat with his claws splattering blood all around.

"Ughhh!" Clasping his blood-slit area, he cried out in pain dropping down on the ground. His whole body was trembling hard as he vigorously started coughing out blood from his mouth.

"Fuck! My body can't resist so many severe attacks from a true blood bastard! Fuck! I will really die at this rate!" Cursing inside his mind, he raised his gaze above and tried to peek a glance at Zeus. He was raising his paws higher up in the air attempting to finish his entire existence.

"Let's pause... it here... today. I will come back for you...soon." Blabbering in a jolt of a second, blazing dark black fumes surrounded him all over and amidst the fumes, he disappeared in thin air.

Perplexed at the sight, Zeus gazed all around him desperately as he didn't expect that he would still possess the power of escaping away in such a grave injured state. He had encountered many hellhounds previously, but Beck was undoubtedly the creepiest one!

Taking a deep sigh out, slowly he turned back towards Eva who was still fixing her eyes at the ground, doomed in distress. Anxiously clasping his wounded sting arm, in slow steps he marched a bit closer to her, intensely staring at her. As soon as he reached nearby, finally, she raised her gaze up from the ground and looked at him holding a dismayed expression.

"Eva...why didn't you run away? You know how dangerous that monster is! Why did you stay here?" He inquired first.

Without uttering a single word she chose to stare at him distinctly, trying hard to hold back her tears.

Watching her despaired grimace, he understood it evidently that the disclosure of his real self was the reason behind her numb silence. Clearing his throat, he tried to convey his emotions, "I...I can understand the reason behind your silence... I...I am sorry for keeping my real self away from you till now but...this is who I am...Eva. I...I am a werewolf... I am the alpha of my pack..." 

A drop of tear dripped down her eyes as she still chose to stay silent, gawking at him painfully.

"I know it must be too hard for you to...to find me one among the creature who has caused you so much pain...The Zeus you have seen until now is nothing but my outer shell...But, trust me... I...I never tried to fool you, Eva. My emotions, my feelings were always honest for you." He continued to take tiny slow steps towards her murmuring in a sad voice. "Even...I have always despised humans but I am the one who chased after you...I am in love with you...I am willing to cross my boundaries just to stay by your side. I will guard you with all my life, Eva. I was afraid that you might leave my hand if you get to know about my truth...But, I know...I have faith in our love... I have faith in our relation---"

"Don't...Don't come near me!" All of a sudden, a few ice-cold words escaped her lips as she frowned her face, gritting her teeth before he could wrap up his words.

"Wh-What?"

"I said stop coming near me!!" She grumbled out aloud resounding her voice as an echo.

Her brutal words stabbed his heart intensely as he halted his motion, stood still, and gazed at her painfully, "Eva? Wh-What are you talking about?"
