My Destined Werewolf Mate

"ZEEUSSS!! IS IT YOUUU!!?" 

A loud, painful shrilling feminine voice reverberated within the desolated dark woods at such an absurd period during the eclipse unexpectedly.

Zeus understood it evidently that it wasn't his hallucination at all. Someone was approaching him when he was already giving up on the hope of survival. Slowly, he mustered his whole strength to sit upon the ground, shivering feverishly. His vision was blurred up but narrowing his wolfish gaze, he tried to observe minutely towards that direction.

A throb of fear aroused inside his heart. Clenching his hand, he mumbled on his own, "it...it can't be... it can't be her..." 

But his fear indeed came true! Gasping out of breath, finally, Eva rushed out towards him covered in sweat and dirt. Her dress was torn beneath the knee-length and near her feet, she had a fresh bruised mark. It indicated that she might have fallen on the grassy terrain while running vigorously to reach him. Standing at a distance a few meters away from him, she halted her motion swirling her eyes wider while looking at him. 

Zeus seemed deadpanned in shock with the unbelievable sight happening right before him. For a few seconds, he forgot to breathe in and gawked at her with awe. The person he was longing to see for one last time was standing just a few meters apart from him!

But...this is not what he desired! He didn't want to let her see him in such a miserable cursed state! He had forbidden everyone to catch a glimpse of him within the dangerous ecliptic period. But watching Eva standing all alone, defenseless within such a horrific environment, shook him up from the core. 

"Zeus...hic...I...I found you!! I finally found you... Wh-What on the earth has happened!? Why are you covered in blood!! Why is this...happening to you?? Why didn't you tell me anything...hic... I...I am so sorry...hic...I...found you...quite late...hic...I..." Her crooked grievous voice trailed off as she broke down into bitter tears, painfully glancing at him who seemed all startled with her sudden arrival. To watch him in such a state of misery, enduring every suffering alone, was the most agonizing thing she ever faced in her life. 

He didn't utter a single word in response. For a few seconds, a distressing silence period persisted between both of them who were lost on each other. After a moment of realization, all of a sudden, he flinched hard and tried to stand up on the ground with his trembling posture. Watching him striving hard just to stand up, Eva tried to run towards him sobbing hard.

"DON'T!!" 

All of a sudden, a striking intense loud command escaped his quivering lips which caused a reverberating sensation amidst the dark, desolated woods. It was the Alpha's command. His voice caused such a shrill in the woods that immediately, her feet halted and she flinched hard in fear.

"Ze-Zeus?"

"DON'T...DON'T COME NEAR ME!!" His intense wolfish red pupils were shimmering in the dark as he screamed out at her, fuming in anguish. Trembling with a staggering posture, he slowly tried to wipe off his thick blackish-red nosebleeds with his right palm, breathing heavily. 

Eva was shocked to see him getting all hyped up even in that severely injured state. It was the very first time, he shrieked at her so intensively which even squirmed her in trepidation. Gulping her saliva, she tried to ask him timidly, "Zeus? W...What are you saying?" 

"Why are you here? What are you doing here at this hour!? How did you come here? Who asked you to come here!!?" Retreating his wobbling steps back from her, he snapped at her resembling quite agitated. Even in that disastrous moment, all he wanted to stay away from her, just for her own sake, without considering his emotions.

"Zeus...why didn't you tell me anything? Why...Why do you always suffer every pain all alone? Why did you left me back and came here to torment yourself! Should...Should I have stayed still after hearing you are in so much pain? Should I have done that?" Tears of despair rolled down her cheeks as she yelled back at him in a crooked voice, restrained in misery. 

"You...You fool! You shouldn't have come here!! D...Don't look at me anymore!! Just go away! Go back...Errrghh! *COUGH *COUGH!" 

Before he could even wrap his words, suddenly, his insides stirred up with sharp pain and instantly he started coughing out darkish blood! Blood droplets splurted all over the ground while he tried to hide his deformed face from her, especially his ferocious canines.

"ZEUS!!" Shivered in fear to watch such a horrific sight, Eva impatiently tried to rush towards him but as soon as she tried to march closer, he took several steps back glaring at her infuriatingly.

"I TOLD YOU...STAY AWAY, EVA!! WHY DO YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME!?" He grumbled.

"How can I stay still when you are in such a disastrous state? Do...Do you expect me to run away from you again? Did you think my love for you was all a lie?" She sobbed, protesting against his command deliberately.

Hearing her teary loud palpitation, he stood numb for a few seconds. His heart was wrecking down to see her crying helplessly before him and it was equally painful for him not being able to even hold her in his arms to stop her from crying.

Clenching his paws, trying hard to hold himself strong from breaking down in tears before her. Taking a huff of breath out, he chose to answer her in a quivering voice. 

"Th...These scars are lethal... This blood is venomous! Even if...somehow I manage to survive this shit...you won't be able to do it, Eva. I would rather kill myself but I can't watch anything happening to you! You must stay away from me! Please...Have mercy on me, Eva! Please go away!!" His intense plea sounded very agonizing.

"And what's the point of living this fucking life without you, Zeus?" She whimpered grievously, retaliating him back. "Why don't you ever think from my view? You...You are all I have!! I can't stay away from you when--"

"Have you forgotten who am I!?" Before she could interpret her sentence, Zeus screamed out aloud, doomed in angst. His roar frightened her again as she continued staring at him, squirming anxiously. "I am the creature you despised the most!! I am a wolf, damnit! Then why are you still looking out for me?" He vexed.

"I don't care about anything anymore, Zeus!! I can't live without you! I fucking love you so much! I don't care about anyone! If...If I am sinning against my family for choosing you...I am willing to atone for my sin for my whole life! But...I just want you to stay with me! I can't lose you... I can't!!" She declaimed her loud bold confession breaking into sorrowful tears that were dripping down her sweaty perplexed grimace.

Her bold, teary confession scuttled his heart with throbbing pain of helplessness. For a moment, he wanted to rush towards her, tugging her grievous frail body into his warm embrace. He wanted to shed his poignant tears on her shoulder to wipe off every trace of the pain both of them were enduring. But...fate was being quite cruel to him...

Choking his grief inside, he took a deep huff of breath in, mumbling while gasping hard, "Eva! I am begging you for one last time--"

"Even if you ask me the thousand times, my answer will be the same! I...I selfishly left you behind that day...like a coward! I was so cruel to you!

But now...no one can ever shake my bold determination for you! Not even you!" Wiping her tears, she firmly declared walking a step closer to him.

"You have left me with...no other choice..." Mumbling on his own with a sorrowful gaze towards her, he clenched his fist harder.

"Right now, your well-being matters to me more than my own life, Eva! Till I am breathing...I can't let anything miserable happening to you..." As soon as he wondered those doleful words deep inside his mind, silver-white thick fur started to emerge all over both of his feet. His human leg was gradually transforming into a wolf with sharp chisel-shaped giant claws emerging out from his toenails. He was huffing very badly and with the ounce of strength left in his body, he tried to oppose her approach with all his might.

"If you don't leave right now...then...then I am gonna...attack you!" In a dark heavy voice, he threatened her swirling his dilated eyes, gulping his lament helplessly.

A sad wide smile carved on her chapped lips as warm tears dripped down her chin. "Even...if you slit my throat with your claws...I am happily willing to give up my life for you...rather than leaving you, Zeus." She conversed firmly in a dense sad voice, marching a step forward.
