My Destined Werewolf Mate

Chapter 65 - Comfort

Breathing a deep sigh out, slowly, Eva walked inside her apartment holding a frowned grimace. Clara was seated on the couch of her living room, covering her face with her palms, breathing out heavily while trying to calm herself down from the hard situation.

Eva was carrying a few chilled beer cans that she took out from her freezer. With slow steps approaching, she stood before her near the couch and called her in a soft voice.

"Clara?"

"Please, Eva! I am not in a mood right now to deal with your lectures! You can save it up later for me when I will be finally able to cool myself down!" She sounded extremely vexed as she grumbled at her in a deep, hoarse pitch gently putting her hands down from her grimace.

"I am not here to give you lectures, Clara." Slowly, Eva knelt down on the ground before her and stared at her continuously for a few moments. Her gestures seemed much saddened but she was trying quite hard to hide her agitation behind her anger. "I am here to ask you for venting out your frustration on me. You can scream and shout at me, I won't stop you. But...don't keep everything concealed inside." She whispered softly, gripping her arms.

"And why I would vent it out on you?" In a loud stirred tone, she fussed at her. "I already feel so fucking sorry for you... And you are asking me to vent my agitation out on you?"

"But you will feel relieved--"

"Stop being so unnecessarily kind for everyone, Eva!!" All of a sudden she gnashed her teeth in anger and howled at her fiercely with a painful dark gaze.

Her heart was bleeding out for her while she was frantically trying to pretend strong before her. Eva noticed, her eyes were shimmering with tears along with her jowls trembling hard. She was almost on the verge of sobbing but trying hard to endure it inside.

"Clara, you don't have to hold it in--"

"You have been always kind to everyone...then why? Why the fuck you are suffering so much? That...That old hag was brutally tormenting you but you were still humble towards her...Why? Why are you such a precious human? It's making me so freaking angry to watch you suffer and not being able of any help... Fuck this shitty world! Fuck everyone!" Tears of anguish rolled down her eyes as she grumbled in a lower voice, biting her soft lips quite arduously.

"I...I am not all alone, Clara. I still have you...I have earned a priceless friend in this harsh world who has been always prepared to stand by my side whenever life grows hard... And...I am really thankful for that..." Softly caressing her knuckle, she murmured her words in a sad voice.

"Eva," all of a sudden her stirred-up tone lowered a bit and wiping out her eyes she stared at her straight in the eye. "Fuck this place, move in together with me, Eva. You can stay there as long as you want... I won't even budge. And...And I promise you, I will treat you the best way that you always deserve. But please...I can't see you suffering like this--"

"Clara, please take a deep breath and calm down." Intervening her words, she murmured softly with her morose gaze fixed at her. Softly, she caressed her arm and continued further, "I will be desperately looking for new jobs from tomorrow and I believe, in this 15 days time period, I will definitely arrange something for me. And I promise you if I fail to do so...I will go move in together to your place. Okay?"

"Why are you so damn stubborn? You never listen to me! You don't even understand how much it torments me..." Fuming in apprehension, she trailed off lowering her eyes down.

Eva stood up from the ground and affectionately pulled her closer to her chest, comforting each other's soul with warmth. Resting in her embrace, Clara couldn't hold back her tears anymore and started sobbing silently. Tears rolled down from the corner of Eva's dark, grieved eyes as she caressed her back tenderly.

"Nothing of all these mishaps would have ever happened...if...Zeus didn't stop me that day from taking away my own life...

You saved my life, Zeus... You did everything for me...But...how am I going to live without you?" She wondered all broken.

........

"Are you perhaps, thinking about someone else being with me?"

All of a sudden, Grace lowered her voice and inquired a blunt query straight at Czar walking closer to his sofa. Sloppily, she took the seat beside him, keenly keeping a watch at his gestures while asking the question.

Gulping down the remaining scotch in his glass, Czar smiled meekly at her query and took a small side glance at her. "Why do you think so? Do I seem a bit different?"

"Of course. You are entirely different from the person who used to come here to me to relieve his stress. I have never seen you thinking about someone else apart from yourself, Mr. Czar. Well, who is she? Is she a special one?" Her voice sounded a bit glum while she lowered her eyes down with a sneer.

He stayed still for a few seconds and took a deep breath in, raising his chin up and gazing at the decorative sumptuous ceiling inside the cabinet. He laid his back against the sofa and responded further, "she called me...a good person...Isn't it strange, Grace? No one said it to me before no matter...how hard I tried my best to prove my worth...But...damn, she is such a weak little duckling..." His voice seemed a bit profound and tipsy, as he blurted out his words with a small sad smile.

"He has been coming here for so many years already... I still remember, the first day he told me not to linger any emotional attraction towards him. It's all just physical relaxation.

I can't believe, he is the same person who is getting butterflies in his tummy just because someone called him a good person... I guess, this person still has an innocent side of him." She wondered, gazing at him intensively, holding a smirk.

"Grace, I will pay you three times more today." Rambling out his words, he took out a few bundles of thickly loaded money and placed it on the table before them. Looking at the bucks, she smiled a bit wider and straightened her back shoulder taking a deep breath inside.

"Then, should I start undressing my costume? Or you wanna take it to the motel room, Mr. Czar?"

"No." Abruptly, he answered her in a deep heavy voice and slowly shifted his gaze towards her, holding a heavy sad smile. "You just have to stay beside me for some time." He murmured.

"What?"

All of a sudden, he rested his head on her soft shoulder and gently caressed her knuckle holding her arm. "Just stay beside me like this and pat my head. I just...I just want to have some good rest...Don't leave me, even if I fall asleep... Okay?" A small teardrop rolled down the corner of his eyes as he shut them tightly, smiling painfully.

She smirked and softly nodded and slowly patted his head with a teary gaze towards him. "You are...really a good yet lonely person inside, Mr. Czar." She whispered.
