My Destined Werewolf Mate

Chapter 73 - A Disclosure

"But she really looked much devasted, big brother... Something must have happened between you two, I am pretty sure. Did you two fight?" Slowly with tapping footsteps, Czar walked into his room holding a frown eloquence as he kept glancing at the door curiously from the way Ivory just dashed outside.

Emitting a huff of heavy breath out, Zeus raised his intense stare up from the ground and glanced at him acutely, before asking him, "Czar, I am sure you must have so many things to tell me."

He seemed a bit startled with his sudden uncommon request and charged back promptly, "things like what? What do I need to tell you? I just came to check up whether you are dead or alive--"

"Czar, I already know you have brought me home that day after that incident. But why? Why did you choose to help me?" Grimacing his face, he inquired him sharply.

He looked much perplexed with his direct query and gulped his saliva anxiously. "Who...Who told you about it?" He stuttered.

"As far I have known you till now Czar, you have always despised me and my family. You...always wanted to see my doomed in misery... You have hated me from the core of your heart... But why, why did you chose to save my life this time?"

"So, should I have left you there dying all alone?" He snapped at him with an irked look over his cast as soon as he concluded his query.

"Even if you would have left me dying back there, it shouldn't have caused any impact over your hatred towards me." Holding a sorrowful grimace, Zeus murmured his reply in a lower deep voice.

Czar vividly stared at him for a while and took a heavy sigh out. Slowly, he walked a few steps closer to his bedside and put his arms inside his pocket, keeping a cold gesture.

"Look, big brother, it's true that I have always resented you from the core of my heart...but, the fact won't change that you are still the eldest son of my father. Even for my father, my existence never mattered to him but he has always cherished you with his all might... So... I couldn't let the precious son of my father die and rot all alone in that remote field because I couldn't let you escape the world so easily without enduring much suffering...

And, I bet...Ivory has informed you about it because I never intended to boast it before you."

"But the fact won't change that you still saved my life, despite holding your immense hatred...Tha-Thank you for...for saving me..." His voice grew heavier pent up with silent emotions, with his dark eyes dipped in grief while looking at him.

"Geez, I might have not helped you that day if..." All of a sudden, he trailed off after blurting out unknowingly.

"If?" Quickly his facial gestures turned into a mystic one as he kept staring at him intensively holding a curious gaze.

Czar took a deep inhale of air in and stared straight into his eye before uttering in a deep voice, "I just...felt a bit sorry for that little duckling who was sobbing bitterly holding you covered in blood, in her arms... She was begging before me helplessly to save your life and... I couldn't turn her down.."

"You have met her, don't you?" All of a sudden, Zeus responded to him back in a dubious loud voice, as he seemed extremely turbulent with his answer. "I knew it...You must have met Eva that day...How...How was she? Was she crying too hard? She must have been in shock to witness all that chaos... And...I...I hope...you haven't hurt her in any way... I hope you haven't caused her any injury--"

"Are you crazy? Why would I attack her at that moment?" Interrupting his sentence viciously, he snapped at him louder with an irked display. "Look, I may seem like a jerk to you but I have some of my own virtues.  I simply won't attack anyone who is already traumatized in a distressing situation. If so, I wouldn't have helped her sneaking inside our Romano Mansion in the first place risking myself--" Suddenly, the words from his mouth halted with the immediate realization of what he just blurted out in front of him accidentally.

"Wh-What? What did you ju-just say?" Petrified in shock, Zeus rolled his eyeballs wider while probing him back instantly.

"Ahh, oh, it's nothing. I think you should have rest now... I should leave right now." Blabbering out some unclear gibberish to cover up the accidental revelation, he immediately tried to turn back from him to leave the room.

"Wait a minute! Don't leave the room yet! It's the command from your Alpha!" Looking all puzzled and turbulent he reclaimed his dominant command causing a deep reverberation in the whole room, forbidding him from leaving. Czar stood still for a few seconds, facing towards the door. From his stiff gestures, it seemed he was aware of the approaching troubled situation that he had caused.

"Darn it my stupid mouth! I should have kept quiet... Why the fuck I blurted it right before him? Darn it, fuck!" He was cursing himself inside, sighing out heavily.

"You just said... that...Ev-Eva sneaked inside our mansion, right? Did...Did she really come here? Is...Is this true? You aren't fooling around with me right... Answer me, Czar!!" Impatiently straightening his back against the cushion, he mumbled at him in a profound pitch, looking all fretted.

Slowly, he turned back towards him, frowning his eyebrows and glaring at him intensively. His reaction looked abnormally fervent, almost leaning on his edges focussing on him to seek the response.

"Answer me, Czar! Why are being all numb suddenly--"

"Yes."

The short and deep answer from Czar immediately froze Zeus in shock as if the time had stopped running out for him. For a moment, he even forgot to breathe in and continued gawking at him, with his eyes shimmering in remorse.

"Wh-What?"

"She has sneaked inside the mansion and not only that, but she had also visited here. She was extremely stubborn to risk everything for you and it didn't even scare her that she could have actually died while attempting such a deadly endeavor... Besides, she was actually ready to embrace death for the sake of just watching you once... I didn't expect her to be...such persistent for you..." Lowering his eyes down, in a deep sullen voice, he conversed the entire scenario.

All of a sudden, tears of shock and apprehension rolled down his eyes as he sat all numb and silent, gawking at him while running out of words. "Eva... Eva came for me? Here?" He wondered with his chest throbbing in immense pain.
